@Arawn93 Yeah I get what you're saying, I agree for the most part but the fun thing about Monster Hunter for me is teaching friends how to play and optimize their character and find the right weapon for them and then I can learn a weapon I'm not used to along the way on a my new character.
@T-Rexy The problem is Nintendo is only a partial owner of the IP but it makes too many people too much money to sell in either direction. There needs to be another competent group brought in to be resonsible for quality assurance and performance and this stuff will not ahppen again.
@Arawn93 I know like 5 people who would have played Rise but now because they have game pass or a 100% playing it. It will breathe new life into it in different ways it is unfortunate there's no cross save but it's capcom lol.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika That's a lie, it runs like ***** on every single switch unless you're playing it on an emulator with a beefy computer.
Simple fact is the developers didn't have enough time for quality assurance and it's quite evident, it's not on them it's on the publisher pokemon company.
There's a difference between generated pokemon and hacked ones as long as the stats are possible for said pokemon there's no issues it's when everything's clearly been altered above normal levels for pokemon that wouldn't have stats that are higher.
@BulbasaurusRex Digital art/software will never be subject to the same rules, as long as you aren't selling copyrighted material in most places you are good to experience them.
Just because a small loud minority are against it doesn't mean everyone is, if you have the ability to play a game from 30 years ago and your only option is emulation it is just fine in most of the world.
As a game dev/artist I think it is pretty amazing, however as many said it won't replace traditional art but it could be a tool in our toolkit of the future helping us make our own art better.
Pretty Sweet that people are still doing stuff like this with the Gamecube, I have been selling a lot of my GBA games but I still have my GBPlayer/GC
The MiSTer at about $400 is probably still a better place to put your money/time though covers many systems very accurately and supports modern and old displays.
@BigChia They shouldn't require anything to buy them. They should create a ton of stock for all of their controllers and be happy people want to buy them for other purposes as well. Money is money and they are losing a ton by making them scarce. A simple solution would be to only make a limited amount available online but have the rest go to physical stores like Gamestop. Walmart, Target etc.
@Patendo I still find a lot of companies over charge for Indy titles as well. On the other side of that pretty much all the major stores take 30% and most companies don't want to lose that 30%. If the stores weren't as greedy as they are you would see games being cheaper from Indies. I'm lucky because the game that I'm making with my 2 friends we're doing most of the work ourselves so a lot of the pie stays with us minus the 30% and possibly publishing fees as well depending if it's easier to go with a publisher. We figured $19.99 is more than enough.

Re: Random: Could Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Be The Final Part Of A Trilogy Of Zelda Games?
I have a feeling it's in the ancient past of a Link to the Past. What we're observing in tears of the kingdom is hyrule separating from lorule

Re: Liam Hemsworth To Replace Henry Cavill In Witcher's Netflix Series
DC money > Netflix money. That would be my guess.

Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Would Love To See Call Of Duty On Nintendo Switch
When the deal goes through "and it will most assuredly go through." It would be amazing to get Warzone at the very least.
Re: Talking Point: Would You Prefer 'Super Mario Odyssey 2' Or A Totally New 3D Mario?
Super Mario Maker 3 is undoubtedly in-development right now for Switch 2.
I want a true sequel to Mario 64 that has a proper co-op.

Re: Soapbox: After 10 Years I'm Finally Getting A Wii U, But Where Should I Start?
Start by hacking it since Nintendo isn't preserving it.
Re: Apple iOS Update Adds Support For Switch Online Classic Controllers
Nintendo would make a literal ton of money if they mass produced all of these for retail.
If they think it's going to affect people wanting to these on emulators any less they are mistaken.
Nintendo should stop worrying about emulation, it is NEVER going away lol.

Re: Hands On: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Performance Distracts From Neat New Features And Flourishes
Inexperienced coding is the reason.
Re: Hands On: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Performance Distracts From Neat New Features And Flourishes
My hacked switch has the ability to be safely overclocked and it improves performance in all games considerably.
Not sure why Nintendo is so scared of running the system in docked a bit faster, it would clear up a ton of the framerate issues garaunteed.
Age of Calamity holds an almost locked 45fps in single player with the gpu and cpu overclocked.

Re: N64 Classic Perfect Dark Has Been Decompiled, Paving The Way For PC Ports
@Pod No worries, I will keep up the good fight and continue to inform people that games are indeed an art form meant to be experience.
My motto is support current platforms but older platforms are fair game within reason.
Re: N64 Classic Perfect Dark Has Been Decompiled, Paving The Way For PC Ports
@Pod Legality shmegality it is a 25+ year old game lol.
A developer knows after due time their games will be available for free in some way either by their own hand or others.

Re: Random: Valve's Steam Deck Can Now Run Game Boy Advance Cartridges
@wiiware If you have a spare pre-patch system you can hack it with a paperclip or with a custom made 5$ wedge you order online.
That is what I did, now I have a spare Switch for emulation.
Re: Random: Valve's Steam Deck Can Now Run Game Boy Advance Cartridges
That is pretty sweet, but just use a rom and emulator lmao.
Re: You'll Be Able To Play Pokémon Mini On The Analogue Pocket Soon
Already have it on my MiSTer
Re: Capcom Begins Mega Man's 35th Anniversary Celebrations With Logo Reveal
@solcross I've been selling my original complete in box Mega Man Battle Network games.
I still have my holy grail copy of Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregar in complete mint quality.
I have been selling a lot of my GBA stuff because FPGA and emulation do it better.
Re: Capcom Begins Mega Man's 35th Anniversary Celebrations With Logo Reveal
@MeloMan Mega Man X Corrupted (fan game 10 years in the making) is Mega Man X9 and it's better than anything capcom is doing with Mega Man.

I am most definitely going to get this but I absolutely hope that they eventually do a shovel knight 2 in the vein of the 1st game.
