@k8sMum To be honest the dolphin emulator does it better. It's not as user friendly as the Nintendo option would be but it gives you more freedom to do as you please.

It's actually arguably better for kids to get acquainted with emulation because it actually teaches them stuff beyond turning a system on and playing a game.

I never wanted to sleep again anyway.

The next gen system announcement is going to be sweet.

I just know that Nintendo's lied every single console generation they've had since the first Nintendo about how long their generations gonna last and how long are they gonna continue to support the old systems. As long as the next generation system is fully backwards compatible I don't think many people will be that upset about them announcing something. Honestly them announcing the fact that it's backwards compatible is all that they need to do to sell it.

@NEStalgia I wasn't expecting anything in 2021, you have mistaken me for someone else lol. 6 years is a realistic lifespan for the switch and the final 1.5 - 2 years we will see many cross gen titles. It is likely why Prime 4 has been delayed so much and same for BotW 2, they want next gen system sellers.

@NEStalgia People who are still waiting to get a Switch are likely never getting one, it will not hurt sales in any meaningful way.

@NEStalgia I think they are going to announce a next gen system and that it will be fully backwards compatible with no re-lease date. That makes way more sense and will instill confidence to the board and investors without hurting any seasonal sales. They have done this in the past and have lied about the length of console generations since the NES.

One thing is for sure, we will get new hardware announced. Possibly a mention of next gen.

@ChromaticDracula I think they should give you the games and dlc perminantly for the years you were subscribed.

@Silly_G Honestly it's all emulation so just emulate it on a tablet or a PC. Would I buy a Dreamcast Mini? Yeah probably, but until then ReDream has it covered.

I am most definately going to avoid classifying/advertising my game as a metroidvania when it releases, action adventure with light rpg elements.

That being said this game does look really fun over all.

@ChromaticDracula All digital is fine as long as online connection is not required for games that have single player modes, it is quite easy to assign a unique code per console/user at the time of purchase. My guess is it was games that require a persistent connection.

@mariomaster96 If they went with a cel shaded style on Switch it would run fine.

All that I know is I'm gonna make sure that when my game is finished, 15 years from the date that it's released we plan on releasing it for free with the source code to everybody in the world because we are not greedy and we're going to prove it. Currently everybody working on the project who has majority agrees with us. I guess somebody has to step forward and do something good for the community it sucks that it's gonna be like 20 years away but it is what it is.

They need to get Joe Keery to do the voice of Shadow. Anyone else is the wrong choice.

@steventonysmith paying 50 bucks to potentially still make 600 is still worth it to scalpers. They should force people to do multiple tests and captchas to be eligible. If you suck at captcha too bad for you.

I am just going to assume that I will never get one lol. Nintendo is notoriously bad with online security. People will pay for the online service to gain acces to eligibility to scalp, limiting by account does nothing.

They have to announce new hardware this June so I would assume.

I think they may be holding off on re-releasing certain titles because of the Nintendo Online Service.

@Skunkfish The moment they announced it I can garauntee it was out of the design stages and probably already being mass produced. Which means it probably was finished a year or so before that. Regardless it is slightly overpriced based on what is in it.

I would hope they reduce the price even more since they are 6 year old tablets with 9 year old proccessor tech in them lol.

I love Nintendo IP but they suck as a company when it comes to most things.

They should have a classic graphics mode, this game would be much more enjoyable with the the old SNES sprites but with more frames of animation added.

It is cool this sort of thing exists, that being said MiSTer FPGA is the way to go of you are paying that much.

I mean they currently have room for like 3 more systems in their listing where the other systems are enabled in the database. It only makes sense that they would add these.

I have been selling my GBA games because they're worth a ton of money complete inbox and I used that to buy my MiSTer.

However this is creating more value to the service so hopefully they keep it up and then I might get it next year.

@Dog Nintendo has literally lied about the lifespan of every single system that I can remember. There is a new switch coming I don't know if it's a full generational leap but it's going to be a lot more powerful, my guess is backwards compatible. Though Switch 2 isn't 100% off the table. Also it is no coincidence BotW 2 was pushed to 2023, the exact same thing happened on the Wii U when they held it back to be cross generation.

Glad they are releasing more classics!

I am going to stick to my MiSTer however until compannies start making universal liscences for games that carry over every console generation like on PC. Platform should not matter and the cost should not be placed on the consumer when something re-releases on future platforms.

The animation is pretty amazing!

I would say GBA or DS, both have amazing game libraries.

@victordamazio I regret selling it on the game cube it's super expensive now I could have made a pretty coin.

I mean it's pretty obvious that every single Activision/Blizzard title will be on Gamepass soon as the acquisition finishes. My guess is WoW retail will also be added to ultimate at no additional cost, it will breathe much needed life into the game.

@Arehexes Gamepass has saved me over 500 dollars this year, that is quite a lot.

I would love the option to stream my gamepass subscription games on switch.

@Shredderlovespizza On top of that they could make the hardware a little bit stronger and put some anti-aliasing in and it could have kept going.

@Kiyata If people were still making games on it I'm sure people would still be buying games.
