Light Crusader is pretty good too, It is often overlooked but it's quite fun and challenging. You may need a guide for some parts because it is a little crypted at times but a must play.

@Vyacheslav333 It's the funnest thing I've ever done and I hope to make it my career. It is a lot of work though, lots of late nights lol.

@Vyacheslav333 Yes it has that style of vibe, there's no real color depth limitation I am imposing on myself. I have one of the main characters already mostly sprited, I designed and a few enemies and bunch of abilities and sprited them already. About 9 months into development now.

@CharlieGirl I'm making a metroidvania that is inspired by ghouls n' ghosts and demons crest/quest as well as a few others. It's 16/32 bit style. I'm hoping to be able to unveil it the people in the next like year or so.

@nhSnork Well my hands are quite big too so that probably does't help.

Most of those things are just standardized things that are in most games anyway. I'll keep thought of that towards the end of development of my game.

@nhSnork The actual 3DS and original DS are horrible to hold in your hands for more than 30 minutes, it causes hand cramps and all kinds of pain.

@Z-Core I hacked my majora's mask 3DS, totally worth it. The newest versions of the hack allows you to play DS roms natively off the system. Though the 3DS itself is super uncomfortable to hold for more than like 20 minutes when you have huge hands like mine so I just emulate now.

It's a pretty good game. I have it on my MiSTer FPGA. Pretty sure it was the 1st pokemon game with animations.

Looks like areas from multiple games including sun and moon.

We have all of them, Quiplash 1, 2 and 3 are all awesome, there are a bunch of good ones but we will see a Quiplash.

I love them both personally, glad they both exist even if I prefer Majora's Mask.

@theGamerPad The base Steam Deck is about the same price as the Switch OLED in Canada, and the Switch Lite doesn't count as it is incomplete and missing the only feature that made it a "Switch" and most people getting a Switch now are going with the OLED over the base. Also a lot of testing has been done and there is no great significance to in having an SSD vs SD card for storage on the Steam Deck so unless you feel the need for less glare the base model is the way to go bringing the price right in-line with the Switch OLED pricing. Valve planned this pretty well over all.

@Specter_of-the_OLED Well it was a comparison to how advanced mobile chipsets are getting, I am excited to see what SoC is in the Switch 2, supposedly it is fully custom and nvidia is working with them to build it. My guess is they are going to have the newest dlss twch or a custom version of it to push 4k.

From what I have been reading, Steam Deck emulates Switch better that Switch plays it's own games, let that sink in...

Infernax is a modern retro delight, haven't enjoyed a retro style title like this since Shovel Knight. It was a Gamepass day 1 release.

@Troll_Decimator I still own a lot of physical games and systems (at least 20k worth of retro stuff if not more), but I also have a bunch of external drives with everything I could want from software to media that will serve me until I die. Honestly though unless someone is re-selling your products no one should care as most people value the people who made those products not the corporations pumping out half assed emulated messes they claim as remasters, entertainment media is art and meant to be experienced and enjoyed so enjoy it how ever you can, end of story.

@sixrings Steam Deck emulates Switch better than Switch plays it's own games, unless one of your Switch's is hacked and overclocked like one of mine is lol. We are already at the point where Nintendo needs to make a move into the next generation. I don't plan on buying anything new from Nintendo for at least a year but I sure will be playing Kirby and getting those new tracks in MK8 regardless.

@MythTgr I actually only pay the equivilant of $7 USD a month for Gamepass Ultimate because of their rewards system.

It is pretty simple, if you refuse to support your hardware platform and those games are not available to purchase in another form they should become public domain after like 5 years, screw the corporations hiding behind archaic copyright laws.

Streamed it on Twitch with a friend a few months ago with project 64, a much better way to play it.

@Troll_Decimator That says more about copyright laws and our rights to software we purchase than the software itself. Delivery method doesn't really matter if safeguards are in place. If a company makes software unavailable legitimately to purchase it should become public domain after so many years, that is how you fix this problem and empower preservation.

@Troll_Decimator Games were going digital regardless of what people did, it just makes more business sense and it is far better for the environment in the long run and saves them a ton of money on packaging.

@PJ301178 I remember it being free for a bit and then they added a fee. It was supe cheap until the Switch version.

@durrdevil Just buy one of the 10 DS games that have an exploit that Nintendo can't fix. There is a list online.

@Nameless_Shame I have a bunch of the minis as well, and a ton of old games and consoles from most past generations so I feel you haha. I do love my MiSTer FPGA though and I plan selling my collection over time now since I don't see a reason to keep a lot of it.

@Nameless_Shame ROMS are fine anyways, people who don't like ROMS are the kind of people who don't like libraries or art.

I have never even dropped my legit or hacked switch, but the joycon do not properly lock into the rails on either switch on either side. Anyone else have that problem where they don't fully lock into the rails and can come out while in handheld?

They have to say that if they plan to have some kind of season pass or dlc now, which 100% they will. When a game is released with the new ESRB rules they have to make that part of any advertising.
