Still Samurai Shodown and maybe some Capcom Vs SNK 2

Every year around now for some reason I enjoy playing fighting games. It’s been fun revisiting my collection of Neo Geo games to remember the early days with the Switch when there wasn’t much else to play.

But I’ve picked up the Samurai Showdon reboot and Collection so I’ll be playing that series mostly, and some Guilty Gear.

I’m planning on subscribing soon so I’ll check out the app.

Can you download episodes to the Switch to watch offline? That would be handy for when we can all travel again.

Yoshi’s Island with the kids and hopefully some Robotic; Notes too.

I’ve only recently heard of this one, but I’m very interested in picking it up.

I’ve only just started Robotic; Notes which will keep me busy for a while so not just yet though.

All of them please, but hopefully more PS2 SMT games depending on how SMT Nocturne does.

Persona 5 Strikers, I’ve just started the 6th dungeon

Persona 5 Strikers for the foreseeable, I’m on the second jail. I’m really enjoying it so far.

Persona 5 Strikes is occupying my time at the moment.

I played the first Braveley Default game last year and loved it. But the first demo for this one was underwhelming, and I never got around to trying the second demo.

I can’t wait ... for the collection

Great timing as, like Atlus, I finally joined the 21st century and got a Spotify subscription at Christmas. I have most SMT and EO OSTs on my iPod and now can create playlists all over again.

Is this Europe too? I can’t find things yet.

I can’t see this at Amazon UK yet, but I have a handy voucher to put towards my pre order once it’s available - likely standard edition.

I was already on the fence about Bravely Default 2 and now I’ll wait to see if it’s improved from the demo rather than getting Day 1.

Golly, the wait already felt too long. Day 1 when it comes to Switch for me.

I’ve never played a Tales game, this might give me a nudge to play Vesperia soon

Finally, it’s been a long wait.

Va-11 Hall-A for me. It has fantastic world building and a great soundtrack.

It’s also set around Christmas time.

Finally. I think Atlus killed everyone’s hype for this game - except mine.

I’m glad I held off getting Hyrule Warriors with this around the corner.

After finishing Chaos;Child and after a lot of long back to back RPGs and VNs in general I need something lighter.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney is doing just the trick. What a classic.

I’ve finished the normal route of Chaos;Child, and I’m now working my way through the alternative endings.

I discovered VNs this year after trying AI The Somnium Files and I’ve played about half a dozen, a lot still need to jump to Switch like Danganronpa and Zero Escape though.

I’m loving the Sci;Adv series and I’m currently playing Chaos;Child and watched the Steins;Gate anime over the last few weeks after playing the game in the spring.

Robotic;Notes it’s a shame wasn’t reviewed here, I’ve bought myself for Christmas alongside Steins;Gate Elite.

Murder By Numbers got some love here and could be added to the list perhaps.

This, Shin Megami Tensei III & V and the Zelda anniversary make this potentially as exciting as 2017 for me for amazing game releases.

I’ve finished Final Fantasy IX this week which was amazing.

As a change of pace I’m on a bit of a Sci;Adv kick. I’ve started playing Chaos;Child (Vita) and I’m watching the Steins;Gate anime which I’m enjoying as much as the VN.

It would probably cost the same as buying them separately so this isn’t really logical but I’d be much more interested in a collection of the Neo Geo Pocket games.

I picked up and played through the first entry on Vita this year but the second is expensive to get hold of in Europe physically, so I might watch what happens.

I suspect the delay was Covid related for voice recording then they don’t want it to clash with Hyrule Warriors but I worry interest in this is fizzling out now.

I love the demo and I’m really looking forward to the full game.

Final Fantasy IX, it has such a wistful atmosphere.

Gosh-darn-it I’ve just started my playthrough, 4 hours in, or I might have been tempted.

A Link To The Past as it was on my shame/ bucket/ complete before I turn 40 list.

I’m about to enter Ganon’s Tower so I might even beat it today. What a perfect and beautiful game. It’s like the pieces of a watch coming together in its design.

Really hard though, thank goodness for save states.

Cool, but I did also get excited hoping for the Switch release date confirmation.

I beat Dragon Quest VIII last night, so I was up very late (zzzzz). What a charming and wonderful game.

Next I’m probably going to right a wrong and finally play A Link To The Past. I may as well keep renewing my online subscription for something after all.

I can vouch for Hades, a great month with Ori too.

Dragon Quest 8, it’s so comforting, like a warm blanket. I’m not sure the game ever ends though!

Some Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario 35 with the kids too. I might be able to squeeze in a few runs of Hades.

Not officially licensed but I had a Walkman with Tetris on it back in the day.

Ys Origins is tempting but it’ll be on sale soon enough.

Having recently beaten and loved my first Ys game (VIII) I do want to explore the series further so I will want this eventually

Dragon Quest VIII, I’m 20 hours in and about to get the boat.

Maybe some Super Mario Galaxy and I’m tempted to pick up Hades.

If I wasn’t approaching 40 with a severe lack of space at home I’d love to have both of these!

I loved the first game but I was a little underwhelmed by the demo for this one. I didn’t like the shiny monsters and not being able to adjust the encounter rate.

I will still keep an eye on how the final version is received.

A fantastic game I’d recommend giving a try.

I was impressed at least that my copy arrived in the morning when usually it’s around 7pm so not great if you’ve taken the day off.

They did email to say I’d been upgraded to delivery today, which was weird as I’m sure it said that when I preordered (usually they say next day when I cheap out on postage).

This was the highlight for me. It gives me time to ‘finish’ 5 first!

I’ve never tried the series so I’ll keep an open mind as it could be my entry point
