@sandman89 I think I’m too late on Bravely Second. It’s not available to deliver to where I live or where any of my relatives live.

It’s weird that Argos availability to deliver is a postcode lottery! Understandable when it’s store collection.

They’ve got Fire Emblem Fates conquest for £1.99 too. A few cheap 3DS games worth checking out.

I completed Xenoblade last night so I need to catch my breath. What an amazing experience.

It would be foolish to jump straight into another long JRPG but it’s likely I’ll do just that and start on Trails Of Cold Steel (Vita). I hear it’s a slow burn, so I hope I like it. It reminds me a little of Persona and Fire Emblem 3H though, so it should be up my street.

I’m a week into Xenoblade, trying and failing to not get too distracted by all the “!” points on the map. It’s so much fun!

I’ve just been in the High Entia Tomb.

I’m used to selecting I’m playing “something else” but a surprise when it’s the Number 1 game in the charts!

About 5 hours into Xenoblade, and I’m finding the quest system an addictive way to progress. I can see how you might burn out on them but then you can collect a few without really trying.

Approaching 5 hours in and I’m just leaving the opening area to go in the caves.

Turning up the soundtrack makes the game even better.

Re: Talking Point: Are You Suffering From Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fatigue?

JoeDiddley

I skipped this one as the same pattern happened to me for the DS and 3DS games.

I almost waivered as this did seem the best one yet and everyone was so into it. I enjoyed my time with the series. But now I’m commonly seeing everywhere people are just checking in a bit each day.

I get to experience the same fatigue with all the articles about it at least, so I can join in that way 😊

After beating FFX I’ve started Braverley Default.

I’m finding the battle system and the way you can grind when you want and experiment with the job system very addictive. I love the art style, characters and soundtrack too.

It still feels though that the parts are greater than the whole. It might be because the story so far tying things together is just ok.

Re: A Nintendo Direct In June Is Beginning To Seem Less And Less Likely

I do look forward to these events, but I can understand why things are on hold right now. Xenoblade will keep me going a while too I’m sure. Catherine, The Wonderful 101 and others are all coming soon too.

Nintendo were in a good position to clean up in 2020, with the PS4 and XBox One in their final stages, but with Animal Crossing it seems like they are anyway.

Re: The Wonderful 101: Remastered File Size And Other Details Revealed

Well I’ve had a backer notification that my copy is delayed. Sucks but I understand (I’ll be busy with XC DE if I’m honest). I don’t have Steam or a laptop capable of running the game.

“Unfortunately, due to the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic, we’re expecting delays in preparing the US and EU physical versions. Backer rewards are being given the highest priority, but due to distribution issues, backers who have chosen physical versions of the game may receive it after general retail release. Our current estimate for the start of shipping rewards is late June. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

We know this is incredibly frustrating, and as a token of our apology for this, we will be providing all physical version backers with a Steam download code for The Wonderful 101: Remastered, so that they can play the game at the same time as backers who purchased the digital version.“

@Steelhead good to hear. I managed about 4 stories in the first chapter. I enjoyed it. Then something like Dragon Quest XI came out and I was tempted away. When I’m in the right mood I want to come back to it. Ideally I want to play Octopath and Braverley Default before 2 comes out. But that might be a bit of a stretch.

Final Fantasy X, my first game in the series and it feels very modern for a 20 year old game. That’s the joy of classic jrpgs! The linearity is helpful for a first timer, so I can learn the nuances of the battle system etc.

The kids like watching me play a bit of Smash at the moment too, they love King K Rool.

I’ve updated Mario Maker 2 but it’ll make more sense to check it out once people have made use of the new features. As I like playing levels not making them.
