The first two amiibo figures for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's DLC roster have finally been released into the wild today, and stock is still available!
Both Joker and Hero are available from the Nintendo Official UK Store for their usual £12.99 RRP. If you can remember the old days of amiibo when stock would sell out within seconds of each figure going on pre-order, you'll appreciate just how nice it is to see figures still available this late on.
They're both limited to one per customer, and it's worth noting that buying both would push your order over £20, qualifying for free shipping.

Haven't bought an amiibo in ages so this should be interesting...
It's a pity that there isn't an amiibo for every skin of Hero.
My favourite were the Main characters of Dragon Quest 3 and 4.
I'm not interested in buying only the one from DQ11.

My Joker amiibo just arrived. It's beautiful, but damn, Joker has some really long legs.

As I said in another article's comments, we won't get the other skins, and they would make more sense than versions 2 of Cloud and Bayonetta, yet they released them along with versions 1.
But if they don't want to release Hero's skins now, they won't do it at a later point. Missed opportunity. They would sell like hot cakes, at least among Dragon Quest fans, even if they don't play Smash Bros. games.
Mine arrived today too, I'm looking forward to unboxing them.
Finding room for them on my desk though, won't be easy. I have a complete set of Smash amiibo to date (including alternate R.O.B. and Robot colors)

Mine are due today. Tbh I am looking forward to the Smash Range of Amiibo's ending so that it is finally over. Damn me for being a completionist.

Joker on pre-order for my son at Best Buy, I had a $5 credit there. Too bad they couldn't work in his Persona, even if only a plastic diorama backdrop, he doesn't really get too exciting in game until the Persona. Maybe I'll find a way to print one out for the shelf. He should look pretty good on the shelf next to Bayonetta. Maybe they'll inspire me to get a nicer shelf set, right now they're just standing on a cardboard box insert. 😂
I like Hero but I haven't really been collecting them much for myself. I'd probably pick it up if I saw it in Target.
@GoldenSunRM AGREED! It's honestly criminal that they didn't do that. Considering they made different variations of game and watch, and all characters with variations got different amiibos. Like Bayo, Cloud, and Corrin
I was at my local Best Buy yesterday for something unrelated and they were out for sale. I’m not interested in these particular characters and I haven’t been following the release dates so I wasn’t even aware that they were out for sale a week early. But there ya have it. I guess it depends on the store. Your mileage may vary.

Got the Joker one for my daughter.
I tend to miss out on the “realistic” human characters (aside from Link).
I’m guessing there will be a DLC fighter announced in the next couple of weeks and at the end of the reveal they’ll announce a Banjo Kazooie amiibo - I badly want that one!
@Moroboshi876 yup, only want Hero bc DQ is my favorite series. Don't own or really care about Smash.
I’m probably going to get the Joker amiibo.
