Well, it's been another week in the Nintendo Life. We had Star Wars Day and some nice discounts, all sorts of juicy gossip from the Epic Vs. Apple court case, the announcement of Game Builder Garage, and we learnt that Nintendo had a spectacular financial year. Phew, and those are just a few highlights!
It's time to unwind a little and discuss our weekend gaming plans. Members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

I'll spend a lot of time playing MLB The Show 21 while I have the live Cubs game running via MLB TV on a tablet next to me. Hello, my name is Thomas and I'm a Baseball addict.
Apart from baseball I'll be hunting high level monsters in Monster Hunter Rise, I failed spectacularly last weekend as various real-life things got in the way and I didn't play it at all. I also have an urge to revisit Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy on 3DS, partly because The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is on the wishlist and because I'm looking forward to Famicom Detective Club next week. Besides, the 3DS deserves a bit of playtime occasionally.

Here is what I'm not playing: New Pokémon Snap. Gasp! I have a couple of reviews on the go, so I've been playing those (and I can't tell you what they are yet). I sort of stopped playing FEZ after getting to a particularly difficult chase platforming level, because that's one of my least favourite types of level in games.
I picked up Professor Layton and the Curious Village on iOS because my partner's never played them (and, since he's playing through the Ace Attorney games, I need to prepare him for Layton v Wright!) and that's been quite fun. It's nice to go back to some of these puzzles as a proper adult!

This weekend I'll be spending some quality time with Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (wait, perhaps not). I have incredibly fond memories of hiring this one out again, again, and again back during the GameCube generation (yes, I played it on the GameCube), so I'm very much looking forward to returning to the western coast of the Forgotten Realms. If you're into games like Diablo, but are perhaps looking for an ARPG that's a little more console friendly - this is definitely the one to go with.
Apart from this, I'm looking forward to spending some more time with New Pokémon Snap. It's been an enjoyable ride so far, but one I seem to only be able to play in short bursts. Another one I'll be going back to is Minecraft Dungeons, as it now supports cloud saves - so you can play the same character save file on your Switch and other platforms. Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

Hey folks! Hope everyone's doing well. This weekend, I'm afraid the Switch will be taking a bit of a backseat, as I'll be playing through Resident Evil Village on the Series X.
However, if I find the time, I will be continuing through my run of Resident Evil 4, and also engaging in a bit of Mercenaries action. I'm looking forward to seeing how RE4 has directly influenced Village, and playing the two in tandem is certainly going to be an interesting experience!
I do plan on getting New Pokémon Snap once I'm done with Village. Confession time: I've never played the original, but judging from what I've seen, it looks like it should be a blast!

Perpetual racing bliss of Speed Racer: The Videogame carries over from last week while adding big explosions and meaty punches with Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Skies and Batman: The Brave and the Bold respectively on the Wii front. I shall check out the latest Wrestling Empire update for the pyrotechnics and blackout entrances along with the re-release of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, a personal GameCube favourite that makes a welcome return on the Switch. Snowblind Studios sure made some excellent dungeon crawlers that truly excelled with friends to tag along with. If you missed this back in 2002 make sure to not miss out the show at the Elf Song Tavern.
Game of the week is surprisingly Total Arcade Racing. The simple joys of single screen tabletop multiplayer antics and leaderboards made this a surprisingly good fit on Nintendo’s hybrid system.

Hello. This weekend I’m gonna be spending the vast majority of my Switch time continuing to play through New Pokémon Snap with my kids. It’s not exactly my cup of tea – you’d need to throw in some shotguns, molotovs and the opportunity to fire off a few throwing knives in order to please me - but my six and four year old are having a great time taking pics of all the colourful residents of Lental Island, so I guess I can forgive it not letting me slaughter Duckletts wholesale.
I’ll also be working my way through the upcoming endless runner Aerial_Knight's Never Yield for review purposes, trying and failing to best my friends on the R-Type Final 2 leaderboards and, if there’s any time left over, wrapping up The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (which I highly recommend, it’s excellent fun). Have a good one, folks!

This weekend, I’m going to attempt (and probably fail...) to get better at One Step From Eden. For those of you unaware, it’s a deckbuilding roguelite game that takes the battle system of Mega Man Battle Network and cranks the difficulty up to eleven. I was a massive fan of that sub-series of Mega Man games, and I’ve so far been deeply enjoying my time exploring all the different build types One Step From Eden offers.
Aside from that, I recently picked up Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked and will continue grinding away through that. True to the SMT franchise, it’s absolutely savage with its difficulty, but I really like this SRPG take on the series’ gameplay. I’m sure it’ll never happen, but I’d happily welcome an entry of this on Switch if Atlus decided to do so. Maybe if we all fill out enough surveys they’ll think about thinking about it.
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your gaming choices over the next few days...

I'm still having fun playing Second Extinction (even with the random crashes and glitches).
I've also picked up Hades, I just need to get the motivation to play it now as I'm not a fan of rogue-lites.
Just played the original Sin & Punishment on n64. Man this series is amongst Nintendo's very best.
Resident Evil Village on Steam, about 3 hours in and its amazing and when I need to relax in between it'll be some Pokemon Snap
Probably gonna be playing some Fortnite with my friends, trying (and probably failing) to do the hardest quest in the game!
Probarbly mixing it up between Monster hunter rise, Pokemon snap and i have just started the Phoenix Wright trilogy which i have owned since launch. About time i started it i think.
My physical copy of Atelier Mysterious Trilogy just came in so looking forward to playing through sophie to start this long journey!
Resident Evil Village of course !!!
If I don't count Exam Preparation which I will probably neglect anyway I'm really impressed with Atelier Ryza 2 so far. I might mix in some New Pokémon Snap even tho I already completed it.
Continuing with Assassin’s Creed Rogue from the Rebel Collection. This game is a lot of fun, it’s exactly like Black Flag - which is no bad thing!
Many choices indeed. I should have some time for more Namco x Capcom this weekend, and potentially even for a few other titles on my laptop, but I'm also looking forward to digging into the spoils of early May spree on Switch and 3DS alike. The latter is even more of an Atlus machine now, with Etrian Odyssey 4 and EO Untold 2 and SMTDS Soul Hackers, but I failed to pass up on Culdcept Revolt and RPG Maker FES offers, too.😆 On Switch, awaiting their hour today are Yomawari (a double-dip for
the first game but I never had the second one) and Void Terrarium, Dusk Diver and The Princess Guide, and while I've installed the earlier obtained Pirate Warriors 3 for a taste, I expect said sampling to be brief because I'll be freeing that space again for Resident Evil in a couple days. Also pulled the trigger on Moero Chronicle Hyper, but science will have to wait - the game is apparently preceded by Monster Monpiece in its series, so I'd rather pick up and play that one on Vita first. With luck, some progress in Portia, Will, Spirit of Justice, Shantae and Immortals also in the plans.
MHR mainly for me. Broke HR last night and am at HR16. Fam has been sick this week so progress has been slow going, but getting there!
Def think this is gonna dethrone MHGU for me, loving it! Need to adjust to new Bow mechanics (mained Bow across MH3,4,G,GU, but never played World), so that’s taking some getting use to, but loving LS and LBG so far, and about to start working on Gunlance as well.
Life is Strange 2 and Bowser's Fury
I finished spec ops: the line and judgment last week, both amazing games that everyone should play.
Harry potter and the order of the phoenix (ps3) - a fun short game, not worth the current ps3 price tag unless you’re a collector like me. Better played on 360, wii or pc since it’s the same game but cheaper. Also no one is getting money from it anymore so there should be no issue with sailing the seven seas for this one. It’s fun as a licensed gen 7 game.
Mirror’s edge (ps3) - the discord server I’m on has a challenge to play and beat 2 games this month that start with an M that aren’t mario games or a digital game. Gonna play it right after HP5.
Mirror’s edge catalyst (ps4) - gonna play this for the same challenge right after the ps3 game.
God of war (ps4) - wanna give this a try finally. I played and beat 1 and 2 on psvita years ago and liked them.
Pokemon shield (NS) - I rather be shiny!
Probably a focus on New Pokemon Snap on the Switch with some XB1 stuff like Halo 5 here and there. Nice to see that Halo 5's Warzone mode is still very active, one of my favourite modes in that game.
Continuing File 12 of Astral Chain.
Olive’s Cases are getting pretty intense and I’m only halfway through the 70+ missions.
I want to get my last gems on Crash Bandicoot 4, HOPEFULLY. I generally enjoyed the game but I don't understand how and why they extended so artificially its duration. That just killed the vibe for me...
Also, I'm trying to defeat the Imposter Mode of Going Under. I loved that game but with the new update it has become terribly difficult and I may have to activate the Assist Mode.
I’ve finished Ori and the blind forest so am now on Will of the wisps. Also playing Monster Boy and the cursed kingdom.
Persona 5 Royal for most of the day as it's unbelievably good and addictive!I played the original Persona 5 but there are enough changes to make it worth playing through Royal.70 hours in and loving it.
In the evening Resident Evil Village on Ps5 will be my game to play in the dark.Only played an hour so far but it's great!
Then on Switch, probably 10 mins on Animal Crossing and I really need to go back to Sakuna Of Rice And Ruin as it's been left abandoned for a while.
I'm also thinking of buying a new Switch game...Mario 3D,Pikmin 3 or Bravely Default 2..
Enjoy your weekend all.
Outer Worlds on my PS4, Xenocrisis on my Evercade and not much on my Switch.
Just some Monster Hunter Rise for me this weekend. And maybe Pacman 99 if I'm in the mood for it
Final stage of 3D World, prolonging it to enjoy it!
I am finally understanding Fez, I am about 33% through it and it is clicking with me. What an imaginative concept for a platformer.
I tried the demo of Picross, but I think I am done with Picross and I am now a Travel Mosaics nonogramer.
Need for Speed, Rocket League and still New Horizons. As I said before, that game is so relaxing to play for 20 minutes before or after other games.
Happy gaming everyone!
Skyrim. My interest waxes and wains but I'm definitely enjoying it at the moment. Don't know if I'll ever complete it or not but if I stopped now I'll have had my money's worth of entertainment so that's cool.
My main focus is still Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on PC, but I am also dipping in and out of Monster Hunter Rise. Playing two games like that with similar but different controls is doing me no favours, but never mind!
I've been really into the shmups this past week. I spent most of yesterday playing ESP Ra.De Psi, Steredenn, R-Type Dimensions EX, and Everspace.
Today I probably won't be gaming much as we are going to New York, but I'll be going to the Nintendo Store for some swag and maybe a game.
I’ve been playing Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4, but I’ll also be playing lots of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with my girls whenever we converge on the sofa over the weekend.
@JasmineDragon Man, I want ESP Ra.De so bad! Looking forward to Cotton Reboot next month though.
Airportmania nonstop dsiware
~30 min block of flying away w cute airplane critters and forget about life.
Funny! I’m on SMT devil survivor too~ this is my first smt game. It seemed waaay too easy until just a bit after the cosplay star...then hmm not so much with the easy at all. No spoiler, but I’m guessing Yoohoo is hiding Dual RPGs (weapon) and it will both save the day and make me feel a bit better about myself for no reason. Lol.
@Tinglemies S&P is the best game on the n64, and I will die on that hill.
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance for me !
Still Samurai Shodown and maybe some Capcom Vs SNK 2
Prey 2017 on PS4, Persona 5 Strikers on Switch.
But also finding time to read. On my 12th book this year which is something of a record for me!
Oh, man... For a second I thought there are some news about Sin & Punishment! D:
I think its really great even the staff treats Nintendo Switch as a 2nd console. Even I purchase everything on anything else and only purchases exclusive or some quirky indies on the system.
I just like the fact that i immediately recognised the picture from Sin and Punishment Successor to the skies, then read to see who was actually playing it . Video game wise for me, it might well be RE village if i give in and buy it. Been playing FF tactics advance and final fight one via Wii U the past few days.
Just finished Chibi Robo last night. I want/need to play more weird gamecube games. Thinking Cubivore or Odama
I'm on the final stretch of my switch backlog. I had a similar epiphany to @The_New_Butler in that as long as I feel I have played a game sufficiently to say I've really played it, it's fine to not 100% it or finish the story if it's not my thing and it can leave the backlog list.
That said, I've just finished Legrand Legacy and will now be dual wielding Tangledeep and Risk of Rain 2. I've already got ROR2 on steam and played it to death but it was on sale while I had some credit on the eshop and couldn't resist.
Once those two are sufficiently played, I can say I have no switch backlog and return the Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity which I haven't played since I reached the end of the demo and carried the data across.
New Pokémon Snap, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and PAC-MAN 99 for me this week. Maybe some Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
A mix of The Longing, Into the Breach and Evergate this weekend (but mainly ItB, dang the 'one more try' on this roguelite is real).
And maybe either this weekend or the next, I ought to replay Hyper Light Drifter again (beat it 6 times last year, and easily one of my favourite indies ever).
MHR, MHW, Mario 3d world, smash bros with friends, and more.
Haven't played Switch much lately unless playing multiplayer with mates. Mario Kart, Broforce, Splatoon and Rocket League is usually the playlist.
ACNH and Persona 5 Strikers. Persona 5 Strikers is alright. One real problem I have is the lack of freedom. Real point a to point b so far. I'm on the second jail.
The Talos Principle... I picked up when it was onsale recently... it's been on my watch list for literally years-i can't belive I waited this long to play it! It's so good!!!
Will be finishing Shantae Half Genie Hero. Also playing Graceful Explosion Machine which is really addictive despite me thinking it wasn't for me. Need to get back to Tales of Xillia and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror too.
Switch - Finishing up Crash 4 and continuing the Spyro Reignited Trilogy!
PS4 - GTA Online with friends!
PC - I bought Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night to own as it is off Game Pass now, so gonna be revisiting that!
Have a good weekend everyone.
I'll try to wrap up the story mode of Super Bomberman R this weekend, and maybe play a little Cuphead if I have time. Other than that, I'll be passing more lockdown time with my Arcade 1ups (which are now my favourite video game related items in the house). The most likely to be played will be Big Buck Hunter World. That one is outrageously fun and has infinite replay value.
NOT BALDUR’S GATE DARK ALLIANCE! Ugh
Nice image choice.
Let's see...I woke up a few minutes ago with a hankering for Doom Eternal so luckily my Switch was still sitting beside me from playing it before I went to bed. I'll probably transition to playing it on PS4 at some point though since it's a smoother experience there.
I'm also nearing the end of my hard mode run of AM2R. It's been an interesting experience, but the limited missile ammunition in a game where you need tons of them to kill Metroids has gotten annoying at times. The bosses are sure challenging, but the rest of the game doesn't seem that much harder. I'll probably stick with normal mode in the future since I feel it has a much more well approximated difficulty curve and better pacing.
I'm also gonna try to continue progressing through Mutant Mudds Super Challenge on the Switch collection. I fully completed Deluxe last weekend, and it's one of my all time favorite platformers. Super Challenge is good too, but it raises my anxiety levels way higher!
Lastly, I need to continue my playthrough of DOOM II. Remains to be seen if I do or not since I kind of want to play other games more. Oh, and I'd also like to start a new playthrough of Hyper Light Drifter. Aaaaaaahhhhh too many games too little time.
Monster hunter rise and maybe Hades again. If I really want to I might start pokemon mystery dungeon
Mario 64 star road and Mario kart tour
Apparently not Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance!
The Last of Us 2 and Spiritfarer.
This week I will be mostly playing
Drill Dozer
New Horizons
Star Fox Assault
I pulled myself away from MHR and am at about the halfway point in Dex. It started slow and thought I was going to put it back on the backlog but I stuck with it and it's actually a pretty good game.
Miitopia demo. Smash. Bravely D2
@carlos82 this is exactly the same as my plans!
Started playing RE Village last night, and will continue this evening. One of those games you gotta play in the dark for the full effect.
Legend of zelda breath of the wild and new pokemon snap;)
Rocket League, possibly some Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, Mario Sunshine.
@The_Pixel_King I've been thinking about it for so long, but the price put me off. Finally decided last week that I had to have it before it disappears. It's pretty neat so far.
Definitely looking forward to Cotton Reboot, another one I've been eyeing for a while. I also want to pick up Raiden IV Mikado Remix soon. Might do today if they have it at the Nintendo store.
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds - Decent enough DLC, good environment and a good selection of robots
Xenoblade Definitive Thingy - Long. Long, long, long, long, long. Feel like I’m just wandering about doing 4 million side quests.
Probably just monster hunter rise but my copy of fire emblem three houses so I might be tempted to play some of that.
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series (Windows 10) - I restarted this yesterday and I look forward to beating it again!
Battleship (Windows Phone) - At the end now.
Gerbil Physics (Windows Phone) - Also nearing the end.
Monster Hunter Rise currently at Hunter Rank 5, trying to get HC 7 and today just beat the village Almadron quest, 55h in the game, but my Switch tell me i played the game for 65h.
We really need a ‘What games did you buy this week’ section cause I’m always adding to the never ending backlog 😅 Xenoblades Chronicles was 50% off at GameStop and I couldn’t resist. Then the first Bioshock went on sale once again and having never finished the original- insta buy. Lastly, I went all in on New Pokémon Snap this past week and I’m loving every bit of the routes and different islands! Played quite a bit with sis and it’s the perfect co op game without being one
Still rocking out on Monster Hunter Rise - HR5 now. I’m the newbie that decided to go through the village instead of the hub quests first and I’m now backtracking. I aim to do a couple quests a night until the 3.0 update arrives
Also got around to buying the girl her own Switch and copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. She’s moving away for 7 years of Med schooling so I need to keep her sane somehow
Happy gaming y’all!
Breath of the wild
Bought South Park Stick of Truth in the Switch sale last week; I'm only a casual fan of the series, but this is a really solid RPG, and I'm liking it quite a bit. I should finish that this weekend. I also finally started Miles Morales this week, so I might end up finishing that this weekend too.
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
Returnal, RE Village, MLB 21 the show. Great game rotation
This
Switch: Monster Hunter Rise - Just unlocked Rank 4 Village quests after showing Bishaten that I don't appreciate its fruit shenanigans.
3DS: Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia - Nearly done with Act 2, about to start on Act 3. I wasn't sure what I'd think of the dungeon exploring going in, but I love it!
Have a great weekend! Happy gaming!
Pokemon Snap is very good, but I feel like I can't play it for too long at a time. I will be playing Ori and the Will O the Wisps, it's the perfect sequel and improves on Blind Forest in every way!!!
Also I'm playing Bowsers Inside Story on my 3DS. Is pretty good
I've been replaying Mario vs DK 2 (DS) on my 3DS in short sessions, so I'll likely do a bit more of that. Fitness Boxing 2 daily. I'll likely play some Minecraft with the kiddo today, and then hopefully we'll do something else fun for Mother's Day. Probably either something Mario on the Switch, or I may fire up the old NES for some Zapper nostalgia...or both.
Sales tempted me to double-dip on Star Wars Pinball (now I won’t have to get off the couch to swap cartridges when the urge to play strikes!) and I also picked up R-Type Dimensions EX cheap for some nostalgic shooter fun.
I first played R-Type at a game center in the middle of Fort Wilderness at Disney World, in 1987. Pumping quarters into that game was at least as memorable as riding the Space Mountain or 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or Haunted Mansion attractions - just goes to show how much I loved video games, even then!
I’ll probably find time to play some ACNH or Undertale with the kiddos (they love the Undertale soundtrack!) or whatever they want, just so long as we can snuggle on the couch a little. (They gave me a handmade bookmark for Mother’s Day, so I’m a little sentimental 😊)
Wishing all the gamer moms out there a wonderful Mother’s Day! 💖
Wow what a week I have just finished the last boss on sekiro after 6 hours of practice, and now I feel like I am the god of all games what a feeling ! What a game! After my lasagne I mite pop to shops to get resi 8 xxx
I think I'll do some more Stardew, that or something multiplayer.
Probably just Monster Hunter Rise and Animal Crossing.
I gave up with DQ11 and traded it in because I was just wasn't a fan of certain events late game (act 3) despite adoring the whole thing up to that point.
So with that void that needed filling I finally started Ys VIII with the sequel on the horizon and all. Probably some snap in between as well, I feel like you can just play that on the backburner forever like AC in a way.
Edit: I missed a day on Cozy Grove yesterday and now I feel bad...
welp I guess they are already dead so nothing I could have done for them would have helped too much XD
New Pokemon Snap and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z
I would be playing Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance
but
well
you know
Mostly Resident Evil Village. And it is amazing so far!
Also still making my way through New Pokemon Snap, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
RE Village with breaks to play pokemon snap and Monster hunter Rise. Sad that I don't have a ps5 because there hasn't been a reason for me to actually play my ps4 in a long time.
Picked up FFXII and BORDERLANDS 2 while on sale. Was always scared of the Gambit system and never got on the BORDERLANDS hype train so I thought I would give these a go. TBH so far I am really digging the story of FFXII; feels like what a FF movie or TV series might be like. BORDERLANDS 2 has some of the best console FPS action this side of HALO so....
I am continuing to brute force my way through FF12. I just made it to the end of the first ascent and I thought I made it to the end of the dungeon lmao turns out I've still got the second and third ascent to go.....I've gotta be honest, I have no clue how people finished this dungeon without auto saves in the original version. I heard the story events at the end of the dungeon are super good but I'm really tempted to quit and just watch the ending on YouTube.
I've also finished my first playthrough of Nier Automata. I didn't realize the game required multiple playthroughs so when I got the first ending I was kinda surprised it ended the way it did lol. I also bought persona 4 so I'll have that to jump into afterwards and I'm really looking forward to it!
Finished Xenoblade DE earlier this week, now playing through Bowser’s Fury whenever I get the time.
Playing Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga on my 3DS and Star Wars Pinball on the Switch.
I love me some N64 goodness! For this weekend, I get to play some awesome racing games, including but not limited to:
F
ZERO
X
NINJA FUTURISTIC RACER APPROVED
Finishing Touhou Luna Nights, fun game but a lot shorter than I was hoping. Also nearing the end of Rayman Legends.
@NintendoGamerGuy what system was that on?
Resident evil village on ps5
Hyrule warriors age of calamity on switch
Missing the memories of Ocarina of time, so I’m gonna play this on my birthday
Sin and Punishment thumbnails always get my attention 😪
Jurassic World Evolution for me, on the road to completing all my islands with a 5 star rating!
Mostly playing "Monster Hunter Rise" with my friends, there, and actually getting back to investigation game "Ai: the Somnium Files". for those who don't know or have forgotten, Ai is from the makers of the Zero Escape games, and features a detective with a cybernetic implant eyeball with a computerized partner, but also, his department has a device that lets you enter another person's dreams for 6 minutes. there you must solve puzzles in the time limit to unlock their memories and uncover the clues you need to solve a grim series of murders.
Not Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance on switch... no idea why... was suppose to come on Friday... did on PS4... so yeah that's what I'll be playing (Goddamn PS4 version). Stupid.
Oh, thx for the update (https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2021/05/iconic_action-rpg_baldurs_gate_dark_alliance_isnt_out_today_on_nintendo_switch_after_all) ... at least I know I'm not crazy (not finding it). I guess I'll end up owning it on both systems... such is the way of nostalgia I suppose.
Forager and Tetris Effect. Very late to the party on each but completely hooked. Gotta love that feeling.
Nintendo fanboys playing this weekend = random indie game ,old port.
Ps5 fanboys playing = re village, Returnal, some triple A game
After three years, I FINALLY beat Ys VIII last night. So, back to Monster Hunter.
Switching between smash, monster hunter and splatoon 2
Mega Man 2, Castlevania 3 and maybe some Fire Emblem Thracia tomorrow.
Im playing the game Finals Week. I am dead inside.
WWE 2K18 on the Xbox Series X
Still waiting for Resident evil village on PS4 from Amazon. Might as well see if a local store has it. I'll continue with RE Remake and RE4 till then
Playing Zelda Breath of the Wild for the first time. After 80 hours I feel that I nearly scratched the surface. What an incredible journey it has been.
I just recently finished Xenoblade Chronicle DE and moved on to Future Connected. So far it’s not bad but not as engaging as the base game.
@nessisonett
So many side quests...
@Ignyte It’s got to the point where I’m watching Netflix on my phone while plugging away at Xenoblade in bed. It’s very much a ‘background’ game.
@Liam_Doolan
I noticed BG:DA came out of nowhere for me when I read the article about it here the other day. I was super excited to pick it up and play it. However, $30 is way too much for a simple port of a 20 year old game. I'll have to wait on a sale.
Kaze and the Wild Masks. Not as atmospheric as the SNES Donkey Kong Country games but the gameplay and level designs are even better. The Mask mechanics are especially good. You die a lot but once you’ve worked out the pattern and obstacles of a level the feeling of speeding through that mastered level is magical.
@Kang81 Yeah, it is a bit pricey - hopefully, it won't be long before it goes on sale.
@nessisonett
I totally agree. I really liked the story of the game but the side quests are poorly designed. Kill x amount of this, go fetch that. It’s been awhile but I feel like I enjoyed Witcher 3 and BotW side quests a lot more.
I will be enjoying immensely New Pokemon Snap and The Bioshock Collection on Nintendo Switch! Love both of those games!
@gb_nes_gamer you remind me I really need to get back to Monster Boy.
I just beat Even the Ocean, so I'll get to The Messenger now.
Some Dragon Quest XI (15 hours in), Oxenfree (getting more into point & click type games as non-taxing games to play before bed), New Pokemon Snap, Super Smash Bros, and Pokken Tournament DX that I just picked up after I learned you could play it with an arcade stick, so I plan on whipping out my Power A Fusion Arcade Stick for it. I also picked up Ghostbusters Remastered physical recently, so may try that out
Just Beat: Aidyn Chronicles (N64)
Now Playing: Romancing SaGa (PS2)
Up Next: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
MH Rise.
As all the coming week.
(i feel so bad for the people who are waiting for the "superior" PC version. Poor lads)
I'm still busy with R-Type Final 2, but seeing that beautiful Sin & Punishment 2 art...
Loved the Sin and Punishment series!
How many are 3 year old Steam games or re-releases?
