Re: Round Up: The Final Previews Are In For Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

@Jeronan ,

Now that I have seen more of it, the game looks much better (especially on Switch 2 of course, with better draw distance). The bike sections look terrible though, I really wonder what went wrong there. Soon I'll have a Switch 2. But since I ordered the original (the box looks better anyway), I might go for the upgrade pack and play it on the Switch 2.

On a sidenote: Funny that Sylux is now called Samus arch-nemesis, but she only fought him in one game. And a spin-off at that (Metroid prime hunters).

Re: Ongoing MicroSD Shortages Could Have A Knock-On Effect For Switch 2 Storage Availability

Soon I will have a Switch 2, But I am not in a hurry for a Express card. I don't know how its going in other countries, but here in Holland only 265 cards are available, only from Sandisk and Samsung and only officially branded (Mario on the package). Of course they are premium priced that way.

I don't think I'll buy many third-party titles. They are all Gamekeys, so they need a big download (and if you get them straight from the eshop its also a big download, of course). Your expensive cards are filled up in no time.

I guess I still get most of my smaller downloads on the original Switch, since there I can use the much cheaper, normal Samsung cards.

Speaking of prices: They are kept artificially high in Holland. For example, the Switch 2 is much cheaper on Amazon Belgium, but they don't send to Holland. And Amazon Holland is full price.

@aSmilingMan,

It seems to be totally random...or its connected to your map-completion. I mean, as soon as I had unlocked the Greymoor/sinner's road shortcut I sat on the Bellhart bench and the Summons dropped down. Regarding the shortcut: There's a fake wall somewhere top right of the greymoor map and it connects to the Styx area in Sinner's road.

Sooo, : outdated, no mood, terrible looking bike sections, A split up world instead of one big interconnected world (I mean, the areas are connected with the desert. They are probably just very lineair levels), talking characters with "Marvel" humor to kill the immersion. I'll still play it, but might be the worsed Prime game.

Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Update Announced, Here Are The Patch Notes

They didn't solve the biggest problems yet: Reintroducing the Roach guts quest in act 3 (so that you can also get the Roach guts for the Materium). And a option to play the Garmond and Shakra bosses again, if you did miss them (and Palestag, since that one seems also missable. I did him, but some people missed him).

Re: Opinion: Metroid Prime 4 Reminds Me Of Gears 5, And It's Making Me Nervous

Henmii

At least they try something new with the motorcycle, but I am not convinced yet. The motorcycle bit looked very rough and empty. I also didn't like the rock-music much that they used (Where is the awesome music the Prime series is known for?).

So far there isn't a single thing shown that wowed me. It all feels like that unnecesary 4th installment many movie-series have, now with added motor-cycle bits. The Prime series was over. They just should have made a totally new first-person Metroid, set after all the other games. The living Chozo's that wowed us in Dread probably should have been saved for this title. Would have made a much bigger impact. Dread wowed me straight from the first trailer and was a excellent end to the story involving Metroids!

This game won't be the second coming of a first-person Metroid. I am gonna play it, but it might be worse then Prime 3.

Re: First Impressions: Same But Different? - Our Initial Hours With Hollow Knight: Silksong

Normally I wait for discounts, but I was in the mood for it and at 19,50 Euro it isn't badly priced (at 25 or 30 I would have waited for a discount). Only played 1.30 hour so far, but I like it (and it looks amazing). It gets quicker to the point and the protagonist also has text (wich I didn't expect). You get very quickly to the first boss, but she's super easy (I believe the first boss from Hollow knight was much harder). However, I am in a area now with quite nasty enemies. Also, the rosary strings hanging from the ceilings reminds me of the strings found in Haiku the robot, wich was also inspired by Hollow knight.

I find it fun that Team Cherry didn't commit to any "hype".

No reservation on Switch eshop
No early buyers discount
No demo
Not even a page with a trailer prior to the release

They just worked 7 years on the game, they dropped it on the date they promised recently and at a decent price. And we downloaded it en masse. I think they didn't even send review-copies to sites. Maybe a bit arrogant, or massive faith, or just a relaxed way of living. Maybe a combination of all 3?

Re: Opinion: Silksong's Big 'Anticlimactic' Premiere Was Absolutely Perfect

Henmii

I admit that I was also suspecting something seeing as it took this long, but maybe its just good that they took their time and didn't commit to the pressure. As long as they had fun while making it, not allowing any pressure, hopefully we feel that passion in the final product. We (myself) included are to often: Why isn't there a sequel, or why isn't it still ready?

Re: Review: Sea Of Stars (Switch) - An Instant Classic, So Much More Than A Chrono Trigger Throwback

Henmii

I am really impressed with this game. I initially played the demo and though I liked it I didn't feel the immediate rush to buy it. Also, it had a very steep price. But when it got a discount I jumped in...and man was it good!

Better Mario and Luigi then the most recent ones, timing and stuff was cool.

Light puzzles and dungeons that remind me of Golden sun (and Zelda), with one or two that where actually tricky.

Fun exploration, characters that are all fun to use, no need to grind yourself dizzy.

Good graphics and animations, nice music, modest difficulty for the most part where the last couple of bosses are pretty challenging (real endboss is insane though, but I managed).

And its also a very meaty game, took me almost 50 hours to do almost everything and just started the dlc.

Only minor complaint is the story, wich is probably a bit to difficult for such a simple premise.

Overall very strong second game from Sabotage. Judging from the puzzles and dungeons they might also be capable of creating a awesome Zelda-like game. I hope they will do that someday! Looking forward to their third game!

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Direct: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?

Henmii

Great, as expected! Loving Zebra DK. I wonder though how big the game will be. 160 Banandium gems isn't a great amount if you compare it to the moons of Mario Odyssey, but there are also the fossils (and you also need chips to buy gems, so we'll see).

And it looks like its a prequel, where Pauline wants to become a professional (jazz) singer!

Re: Review In Progress: Mario Kart World (Switch 2) - The Perfect Introduction To A New Console Generation?

Henmii

Although the game really looks great and I am definitely gonna buy it when I have a Switch 2 (really looking forward to the open-world with its challenges), I am a bit dissapointed that on Metacritic it has a average of 90% (so far). For such a expensive title you would expect a higher score, especially since there are tons of different games (on any device) that are better and much cheaper.

Re: Review: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time (Switch) - Level-5's Triumphant Sequel Trades Depth For Breadth

Henmii

Might be the first time I read a Kate Gray review. Its a nice review by the way. I never expected this to be any good after all the delays. The shrines sound nice. It reminds me a bit of Ever oasis, wich was also town-development, exploration and dungeons (I should get back to that someday). Are the shrines a bit good, puzzle-wise? Might try it someday.
