Isn't this faaaar to soon after Forgotten land? Anyway, looks like they will do a barrage of "filler" games again before a new hardhitter arrives (wich is fine, let them take their time). Anyway, game still looks pretty good. But if it is multiplayer-only, then its not for me.
Fi-na-lly!! Time to redeem yourself Platinum! Trailer looks great, although the game doesn't look as colorful as Bayo 2 (I guess some people may prefer the darkness of the first one, but I loved the color of the second one).
Looks like I was a bit confused. I was thinking number 5 was a totally new upcoming game, but it is the most recent game, the one with Joker. Still very good news though that it finally hits Switch. Might check it out in the future.
Looks fantastic, with more freedom, puzzles and quests. From what I remember the original didn't have much puzzles, apart from that pipe-puzzle and I think something with switches (but I am not that far yet).
Looks lovely. By the way, wasn't there any sign of Silksong in this Direct? It was recently in a Xbox showcase, but there it also didn't get a release-date.
That's a lot of game for your buck. Just in time for me to not download some from the eshop, just get the physical version on Switch!
I wonder though: Some of these games had 2 versions, Pokemon-style. Will that also be the case here?
If Capcom re-releases their whole Mega man library I guess they will also do those 2 titles after this collection (I forgot the name, but they where also turn-based rpg's).
Hmm, they quite delivered this partner Direct. Persona 4 and 5, Pacman world remake and finally Nier Automata. Nier Automata is a game I wanted to play for a long time, but I don't know if it will be this year. Huuuggge backlog!
Finally! Don't know if its for me (I am not that much into school-settings and I am not a gigantic rpg nut) but people say all the time its one of the finest jrpg's of recent years. And we also get the newest entry?! Wonders never cease.
A lot of comments get removed lately for several reasons. I guess it is needed, this site should stay friendly of course. But sometimes I wonder, won't they go to far? After all we can never see those removed comments, so we have to just coast blindly on the judgement of the mods. I hope they know what they are doing...
You already felt it in the opening-theme from Metroid Prime 3...sounds very similar to Halo. Ironically Prime 3 is the weakest of the 3 Prime games (still a great game though).
Ironically, Skyward sword was originally supposed to be more realistic. There are screenshots from a prototype. But then Miyamoto came with a painting of cezan and said he wanted it that way. So Miyamoto isn't always against cartoon/impressionistic stuff. Of course he made cartoony stuff in the past himself (A Link to the past, Mario world, Yoshi's island, etc).
Interesting read. I remember Miyamoto defending the change back in the day, saying that a realistic approach just would get copied. I never knew that in reality he hated the artstyle and that it was Aonuma who pushed it. Well, thank goodness he did, it was great. Miyamoto was somewhat right about the sales though: It wasn't a massive hit in America back in the day. That's why they made Twilight princess. Skyward sword felt more like a compromis to appeal to both sides.
It seems they not always listened to Miyamoto. Now they have totally steered away from the realistic graphics. Botw is darker then Skyward sword, but is still cartoony and a bit Ghibli-esque.
Epic fail! I wonder how they will replace it, can't be as good.
I remember my modern version of Meat boy (on Switch) having a different soundtrack because of a dispute. I don't dislike the soundtrack but heard the original before on youtube. And the original is better.
Bam, directly revealing a season-pass. 30 Euro, insanity. And the story dlc arriving at the end of 2023, what are they thinking?!
Anyway, game looks solid but graphics-wise its very underwhelming. It looks exactly like Xenoblade chronicles 1, not better. This one will be bought by me at a later date. Huge backlog and I have still not finished the first 2 ones (and Torna). I wonder if I will ever finish the first one on the Wii, but I definitely want to play more from the second one someday.
Years ago I would have gone ballistic about a Mario animated movie, but now I am more: Pleeeaaassse be good and popular so we will also get a Zelda movie down the line. Of course I am also interested in a Mario movie and I will definitely watch it someday, but Zelda gets my blood pumping.
I hope Nintendo knows what they are doing. They are very protective of their franchises, but all those star-voices on the Nintendo characters sounds sooo unlike Nintendo. My fear is that we get a very young and peppy Mario and Luigi, shaven and all. Nothing like the Mario we know and love. Even worse: What if there will be a movie tie-in with these "new" designs and voices, and what if that becomes the future of the franchise? On the other hand casting Pratt for every game from now on...man that costs a lot of money. Nah, Nintendo won't do that (luckily).
True, but I still have a feeling Switch2 is meant for March 2023. I think Switch2 was already meant for this year, but then the chips-shortage happened.
I remember the last time a Zelda got delayed because they had to do "special things", namely mirror the overworld and ad some waggle so they could justify Twilight princess also releasing on Wii.
If there only will be one version of Botw2 there better be a good reason for them to make us wait this long. It can't be only Covid, or Pokemon (Pokemon easily gets Nintendo through the holiday, it will sell big time). Had Nintendo to re-learn how to make dungeons? Did they decide halfway through the development to remove a remixed overworld for a totally new overworld? I hope the wait will be worth it.
A new top-down Zelda this year wouldn't be that unrealistic, maybe sporting the style of Link's awakening Switch. Nintendo could have a smaller team on that, or maybe Grezzo.
Botw2 will be next year and it could be a Switch2 launchtitle (or a dual release, Switch and Switch2). We are probably talking about March 2023, so that takes some time.
Next ten years...if people eat it and like it. Otherwise its back to the drawing-board. For now I keep a positive vibe: It could be fun, I'll just wait and see. Happy that they try something new with the franchise.
Lol, they are just talking about the upcoming Fire emblem Warriors game! Speaking of that game: Is it normal that the icon of the demo has a splash of red, a bit like blood?
I don't think there will be remakes of Ooa and Oos, because they where made by Capcom. You also sensed it in the artwork, very different from what Nintendo would produce. I think Nintendo thinks: "Its not made by us so its worthless".
Lol, I agree! I wouldn't be surprised though if there's a new game in the making. After all it doesn't make any sense to make a movie all of a sudden about a completely dead franchise.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Physical Edition Of First Bayonetta, Launching This Year
That's great news for anyone who hasn't played it already. But why limited? Oh, Nintendo...
I have Bayo 1 and 2 on Wii u though.

Yeah, I was just joking. I know now that its not about cheeky content but just the difficulty of the set.
The set looks lovely by the way. I won't buy it (to expensive), but it looks great.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 English & Japanese Voices Don't Require Additional Downloads
As it should be!

Re: XIII Remake Is Finally Coming To Switch In September
This was the butchered remake...but it doesn't look butchered anymore! The characters do look comic-style again, instead from Fortnite.

Re: Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Coming To Switch In 2023
Sad news guys: American retail version (Europe most likely won't have one) will only have volume 1 on the card. Volume 2 requires a download.

Personally I do not think the Capcom Zelda's are inferior in any way, The minish cap is even one of my favorites.
That being said, if they use the artstyle of Link's awakening Switch I think they should use it for a totally new Zelda.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Unleashes A Beautiful New Track From Its Original Score

Anyway, nice song!
