My first reaction was: E3 was already dead so it was to be expected. Then I realized E3 isn't only games but also gadgets and technical innovations. So E3 might go on, just without the gaming industry. Wich for me makes it uninteresting to follow, since I only follow it for the games (as many of you do, I imagine).
Hmm, Phendrana drifts or the Chozo ruins...probably the ruins though Phendrana has the better music. And the frigate with its awesome athmosphere, probably even better when its underwater (with the best music).
City in the sky, probably followed closely by the Spirit temple from Oot. I also love the tower of the gods, windpalace from Minish cap and the ice dungeon from Albw.
Chained echoes was on the list but seems to have dropped off. The list is constantly evolving after all (wich is rubbish in my opinion, but I don't work for this site so what can I do?).
Persona 5 is really loved heh? I expected Pokemon violet and scarlet on 1, but they aren't even on the list. I had hoped for Kirby to be on place 1, but 3 is also very good. I did expect Bayonetta 3 to be higher though, and Mario+Rabbids much higher (the lower difficulty in Mario+Rabbids from what I have heard might have spoiled it).
This is my very short list of games (I mostly played games from other years).
Kao 7
Pacman world repac 8
Pokemon Arceus 8 (only played 50% so far, but I think that's enough to give this score)
Kirby forgotten land 9
I hope Kirby wins (or Bayonetta or Mario+Rabbids or Xenoblade chronicles 3, though I have yet to play them all), but I know the new Pokemon (scarlet/violet) wins.
Hmm, I don't think I have played many 2022 games. I did play the lovely Kirby and the forgotten land. Kao (good), Pacman world re-pac (very good). Almost halfway through Pokemon Arceus, and I have only just briefly played Bayonetta 3 so far. Death door was fantastic, but not from this year I think. And currently I am playing Eastward and Blaster master zero 3, again not games from this year.
Anyway, will vote soon. My pick might be Kirby and the forgotten land. But you just know the new Pokemon will win (violet/scarlet) as always!
That may or may not be the case. One of them is super greedy, maybe both. If Nintendo is to blame, then they just had to use Botw2 as their holiday game since I am pretty sure that game is long finished. They could have saved this Pokemon game for holiday 2023. But yeah: Zelda sells big, but Pokemon sells bigger.
Lovely game! Challenging, good looking, good sounding, some light puzzling with fun combat, moody and funny, pretty long too. And the part after the endboss is very moody and mysterious.
I really hope they make a sequel, the secret ending teases it in my opinion.
Good! Hopefully this is a wake-up call for Gamefreak (and Nintendo), because I feel they are knocking Pokemon games out quicker and quicker and they get shoddier all the time. At some point they will look like shoddy beta versions (they already do to a certain extent)!
The second trailer looked pretty good, but now that I have seen a review on youtube...it looks terrible! Very weak textures and trees, slowed down characters in the distance (because of frame-rate), etc, etc. It looks worse then Arceus and the reviewer also said the performance is worse then the performance on Arceus. Also, some very terrible new Pokemon species from what I have seen. And no more free-catching mechanic from Arceus?!
That all feels like a step backwards, and the game just looks highly unfinished to me. Might still be fun, but should have been sooo much better. Switch CAN do open-worlds if developers take their time (Botw for example). But its always Rush, Rush at Gamefreak...
I might have liked it as open-world: Maybe we had to wait this long because it was supposed to be open-world, but they scrapped the idea. I wonder what was the biggest hurdle for them: The performance on Switch or the pacing. Maybe Bayo 4 on future hardware will be open-world? Or maybe it wouldn't be fun that way?
Anyway, Bayo 3 is supposed to be really good, so that's all that counts (I have yet to properly play it though).
Yeah, that's super annoying. Speaking of file-sizes: Sometimes it seems to be the other way around. I remember seeing a game on Steam that needed much more space to download on Steam then on the Switch. And I mean MUCH more!
Yeah, this person just gave a 5 because it wasn't his/her thing. As I said before in another topic, its a bit like the old Prince of Persia. Personally I like the world and the mood more then the gameplay.
Anyway, bought it. Yes, its a European version. However, it requires a 12 gb download, wich I didn't know. I suspect only the prologue to be on the cart (I played a very tiny portion without downloading, the cart feels very light).
If I knew this in advance I would just have waited untill the download-version was discounted (You need 11,2 gb for that). What's the use of buying physical if most of the game needs to be downloaded?
Is that true? Well, then it does a poor job. Not only are all the Unreal games struggling in handheld-mode (that's my experience anyway), but they also have this blurry Vasiline-smear (Yoshi's crafted world was made in Unreal and even that looked a bit blurry) in handheld-mode.
One of the charms of the Oddworld series was always the butt-ugly characters: They are literally rough people living in the dirt or awful villains. One of the complains with Soulstorm was that they made the characters look to shiny and friendly, but I still think it has its rickety charm. Another complain was that the game became to serious and lost most of its humor, apart from the sound-effects.
Personally the look of the games and the idea behind the games and the message, I found that much more interesting then the super-frustrating old Prince of Persia style gameplay.
Looks pretty good, even the "exodus" scenes (all those Mudokins running, climbing etc). I feared they would scrap those scenes, but they are needed for immersion.
However, the game might run poorly. Microids and THQ Nordic games always struggle. And if it is a unreal-engine game it WILL struggle on Switch. That's the first thing Nintendo should do with Switch 2: Making it 100% compatable with Unreal. 99% of modern games seem to be made in Unreal.
Played this recently, loved every second of it. Amazing game. And the weird thing is, back in the day I tried the first Pikmin two times and didn't like it. I don't know why. Anyway, downloaded Pikmin 1 and 2 on Wii u. I want to try out the second one soon.
And Pikmin 3 looks really nice, so I can only imagine how good Pikmin 4 will look. Looking forward to it!
Beautiful woman, divine voice. I won't boycot the game, but I am sure with such a voice there must be a lot of work for her. I wish her the best! As for the new voice-actor: She IS entitled to call herself Bayonetta, no matter what the old actor says.
I have it now, but it may be on the backlog for now. Anyway, nice review and nice score. I really hope we will also see the original Nier on Switch someday.

Its a me, Rayman. Looks nice and could be fun.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Temporarily Listed On Nintendo Website For $70 USD
There are always good online-shops where you can get it cheaper. Of course I will go for the best price.
Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For Tomorrow, 8th February
Hopefully we finally get some proper Zelda coverage, and some Pikmin 4 (and maybe, maybe a bit of Prime 4).
Re: Talking Point: Who Did You Marry In Fire Emblem: Awakening?
I chose Sully, because of her bad-mouth and her strength in battle. So there are no marriages in Engage?! That's a real shame!

I don't need it. And if they do it, then at least make them repairable.

Nice review and nice score. Ordered it.
But why is the video-review private? That's just nonsense!

Looks and sounds really good. And its coming as early as next Friday?! Guess I'll gonna order it soon!

19 out of 24...Overwatch I should have know. Abe's oddyssey is not on Switch, but its remake is.
Re: Konami Supposedly Has Multiple Unannounced Projects In The Works
Don't get your hopes up, they most likely be some indie games (wich might still be fun though), or just some awful mobile-games.

Cute cat, although I am not the biggest fan of folded ears. My cat has nice big upstanding ears, with a bit of tuft on top, like a Lynx.
Re: Poll: What Was The First Pokémon Game You Played? Nintendo Wants To Know
Black 2 I think.

Lol, anyway: Celestial was pretty cool, as was the videoclip. And that comes from someone who isn't the biggest Sheeran fan (minus a few songs).
