Well when I played Super Mario Bros on NES when I was three, there was only one difficulty level: Balls-to-the-Wall. We had to die a million times over the course of years to get to the skill level where we are today! Grumble grumble...

@JohnnyMind @TotalHenshin I love scrolling through the comments and seeing both of your avatars next to each other. Looks like you are both acknowledging each other from across the room.
I still haven’t played this game, and my feelings of guilt for still having not played it have not diminished either. Hades is another game that falls into this same category.
@Arehexes Actual question for you: Does this game run decently now? I passed on it upon release due to the plethora of issues that apparently plagued it, but I am just curious as to whether it is better nowadays.
@RadioShadow The DS version just had the 3D space battles for a multiplayer option. For whatever reason the campaign co-op was not available in the DS version and was unique to the GBA edition.
I dig it. It is a fun show and Adam Pally is a pretty funny guy. It is making me want to buy the physical copy though since Paramount+ seems to crank out extra ads during their newer/bigger shows.
The Macintosh version of the original PoP will always be the best with PoP 2 coming in second. Since you can unlock both of these gems through Sands of Time (and Sands of Time itself is great), I guess Sands gets my vote here.
@YoshiTails I never really thought so, and I generally loved run-and-gun shooters and loved Star Wars. This game never really clicked for me for whatever reason. In my opinion, if you have already played Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Heretic, Hexen, etc, then you have already played games better than this. Again, this is simply my opinion and there are tons of people out there that love this game. That being said, I LOVED the sequel to this game.
@BodkinDQ @Cathalm Yeah, I find this super annoying. I am not a huge fan of paying for DLC, but I would much rather pay a reasonable amount to update the game I already own as opposed to paying for another copy of the same game.
My 5 year old loves everything Sonic, including the movies. The movies (especially 2) are guilty pleasures for me as well, so I am looking forward to this show. Also, Idris Elba makes a great Knuckles. I may go so far as to say he has been the best iteration of the character to date.
@CANOEberry The last time I played it was probably 8 or so years ago tbh, but I honestly felt like it held up pretty well then. Don't get me wrong either, I would most likely purchase a remake if it ever came to fruition, but I just don't see it as being completely necessary.
@thiob I was wondering the same and will probably wait for reviews. I prefer playing this type of game on Switch, but if the Switch version has any kind of performance issues I will opt for PS5.
I want to experience the opera scene in Final Fantasy VI for the first time again. That was such a surreal experience the first time I played through that game.
Has this game gotten better since release? I remember seeing ‘meh’ reviews upon its release, but now that all four Ninja Turtles are playable, I am more tempted to try it.
@OldManHermit Yup! I am with you on this one. The RE1 remake was a nearly perfect game, but the caves section is dull and just feels like filler. Another part that always annoyed me was playing as Jill and getting to the part where you return to the mansion and it is filled with hunters, and their leaping attack can kill her in one hit. Having this happen due to one missed shot and or bad luck and having to go all the way back to your previous save was maddening.
@LadyCharlie I was a big fan of Batman comics/graphic novels when I was younger and can safely say that the Pattinson Batman movie captured the feel of the comics better than any prior film.
@gamerswereamistake I agree, and I think episode 1 of season 2 being as good as it was doomed that whole season in a way. It peaked right away and was never going to top that.
@Clyde_Radcliffe I was going to drop a comment saying, “anyone who didn’t pick Lost Levels has never played Lost Levels,” but after reading your comment I was struck with a little Mario Sunshine PTSD and can totally understand why so many people are voting it.

Re: Review: Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake (Switch) - Square Doesn't Drop The Ball, Just Some Frames
@Markatron84 Triangle Strategy is the best game on Switch, imo. I am also a big Octopath fan.
Re: Feature: Sonic Boom At 10 - The Good, Bad & Ugly Of Sonic The Hedgehog’s Brief, Nintendo-Exclusive Sub-Franchise
@Darthroseman My favorite line from that show.
Re: Poll: Which Is Your Favourite Nintendo Game Cartridge Design?
SNES is my favorite console, but I’ll be damned if the N64 carts weren’t the most attractive.

Europe by a mile. That art is gorgeous.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance?
I was tempted to rate it poorly for the simple fact that I cannot upgrade my current copy of the original version that I paid full price for.
Re: Gruesome Tactical RPG 'Demonschool' Finally Gets A Switch Release Date In September
I am really digging the pixel art in this. Gorgeous.
Re: The Thing: Remastered Is Officially Announced For Switch, Coming This Year

@JokerCK Have you visited the mess known as IGN in the last 4-5 years? Is so, you would know that they definitely do not own Nintendolife. 🙂

Re: Soapbox: 'Revenge Of The Sith' On DS Is Still Top-Tier Star Wars Gaming
LOVED this game. I owned the DS one but later wished I would have bought the GBA version since you could link up and play 2-player co-op on GBA.
Re: Upcoming Pixel Art RPG 'Beyond Galaxyland' Oozes Ambition And Personality
@Nitwit13 Very well said. Renting it and playing it on SNES for the very first time is a memory permanently etched into my brain.

Re: First 4 Figures Shares Sneak Peek Of Sonic 2 'Knuckles Standoff' Statue
Yeah, but buying another Switch for no other reason than having a backup Switch would cost less.

Joe’s bulging package
🤣

Re: Soapbox: Mega Man X's Tutorial Is The Perfect Intro To Capcom's Sublime Sub-Series
The original Mega Man X is still the best Mega Man game to date, imo. Gameplay, music, graphics, stage design… Everything just clicked.
Re: Talking Point: What Are The Worst Parts Of Your Favourite Games?
@Qwiff …or the godawful QTE ending of God of War II. Fantastic game up until that point.
Re: Talking Point: What Are The Worst Parts Of Your Favourite Games?
@Captain4359 Arkham Asylum was like that for me. An utterly fantastic game that ends with a completely craptastic final boss battle.
