The name is fine. I don’t understand why everyone is making such a big deal of it. When you really think of it, Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest are odd names too, but those franchises have done just fine.
@Scapetti You don’t ‘own’ it in either case. You are paying to use it. The NFT route just fools you into a sense of ownership that doesn’t really exist. @CharlieGirl understands perfectly well why this is anti-consumer.
"The end game is about giving players the opportunity to resell their items once they're finished with them or they're finished playing the game itself. So, it's really, for them. It's really beneficial. But they don't get it for now."
No. No it is not. You know what was beneficial for us? When games were 100% complete by the time they were ready for purchase and when we 100% owned our copy of the games we purchased. If I decided I wanted to sell my copy of Final Fantasy III (FFVI) on my SNES to someone for $60-$80, then guess what? I get all of that money in cash and the new owner of that game 100% owns it and the new owner does not need to purchase any additional DLC.
PS - I will never actually sell any of my SNES games, so don't bother asking.
@jrt87 This is one of the many reasons I am introducing my son to NES, SNES, N64, PS1, etc. games while he is young. The golden age of gaming has long passed I am afraid...
Whenever I hear anything about Kemco, I think about Drakkhen on SNES. I played that game a ton as a kid, but never completed it. Tough game as I recall.
@Peder7berg I always thought putting the whole glass bottle of milk into the mixing bowl was rather unconventional, but Link seems to make that work too.
@CharlieGirl Ugg… I did the same with my F-Zero GX…. At the time though, I would have never thought, “whelp, that will be the last F-Zero game they ever make!” 🙁
@KateGray I am pretty sure I am probably the 10,000th person to tell you this, but Super Metroid is totally worth taking the time to play. It holds up beautifully even by today’s standards.
@YagaMaki I still have my Game.com with Duke Nukem and Mortal Kombat stuffed in storage somewhere. It is pretty rare that I hear about someone else who had one of those.
@Giancarlothomaz That has been my fear actually. That they are hashing out some kind of bull**** exclusivity deal with Sony… Not putting it on the Switch though seems like it would be a huge missed opportunity as games like that are perfect for handheld.
@The-Chosen-one If a new F-Zero ever gets announced the Nintendo Life comment section for the article will explode. Like for real, it will blow up. There will be injuries.
@FullMetalWesker It is the characters, the cars, and the world of F-Zero that makes it forever stand out. Nothing similar will ever compete with F-Zero for me.
You can tell how utterly amazing these three games are when this many years and god-knows-how-many play throughs later, we still get this excited for artwork related to them.

This looks… surprisingly great!
Re: Feature: Game Boy's Perfect Pixel Art And Our Obsession With Reclaiming It
The OG Game Boy was the first handheld I ever had, but I can safely say the Game Boy Advance is the handheld that I have the fondest memories of.
Re: Feature: Game Boy's Perfect Pixel Art And Our Obsession With Reclaiming It
@KingMike Nice. I was 4 when I got that game though, so it took me a tad longer than one day.
Re: The Evil Dead Game Has Been Delayed Again, Will Now Arrive In May
@SlimPieEats Ha! Fair enough I guess.
Re: Random: Check Out This 1986 Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Book Where You Play As Zelda

Re: JRPG 'Sword Of Elpisia' Slashes Its Way To Switch Next Month
@Daniel36 It legitimately kind of creeped me out as a kid too. It had a very dark and foreboding atmosphere.

...and they will keep telling us how 'good' this is for all of us until we start believing it like the good little drones that we are.

“I see you inherited your mother’s wiles.”
“To bad you also inherited her hair.”
Oh snap! Things about to get REAL in that interaction! 😉
Re: Awesome Triangle Strategy Trailer Introduces Frederica And New Gameplay
@GundamExia ...or at least give us some scrap of info on The Dragon Quest III remake.
Re: Awesome Triangle Strategy Trailer Introduces Frederica And New Gameplay
This is definitely one of those games that will shove its way to the front of the line and put my backlog list on hold.

@Synecdoche Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as long as there are penises in this world, there will also be lame casual penis jokes.

@Giancarlothomaz I am curious as to whether that is still getting worked on at all...
Still no word of a release date or what consoles it will be on.
Re: Soapbox: 2022 Is Looking Glorious For Tactics Games On Switch
The more I see of Triangle Strategy, the better it looks. I am pretty psyched for it.

Alright, now I kind of want this to listen to in my car.
Re: "Next-Gen" Anti-Grav Racer Redout 2 Speeds Onto Nintendo Switch In 2022
@FullMetalWesker I just want a new one SO bad…. I would even drop money on a remaster of either X or GX with added online support at this point.
