Re: Looks Like 'Mina The Hollower' Will Be Getting A New Release Date Soon

So many games!

Since i skipped the PS5 / xbox series gen so far, I’m eating well!

Nintendo first party games, great indies, stellar 3d party new releases, ports, can’t keep up!

Can also be because I’m stuck with playing old gems. Working my way through Yoshi’s Island with my daughter. And while she’s asleep the Resident Evils available on Switch 2 (currently at 4). 😅

@Dr_Wright they will. They simply didnt need to at this time, the demand was there from early adopters. Now, for years 2 and 3 they can start releasing their very heavy hitters (mario, zelda, pokemon gen X, smash, splatoon, animal crossing, switch sports, new mario party).

I also think that from now on they will give space to 3d parties to release and promote their games to make sure theres a continuous revenue stream.

@NintendoWife i’ll hope they’ll only do one last one (mario world with the koopalings) and then leave it be. There are no other worlds nor mario characters they can build with.

Maybe Pauline and New Donk City… then again, they already did a city in 1. Maybe a luigi’s mansion movie. Maybe a Peach costume movie.

And I hope they’ll not incorporate Wario, i think that character stinks - literally.

@MoldyPasta I actually wouldn't mind Nintendo having one game we can look forward to the next 2 years. For which they build up the hype over time. A new Zelda for instance, ór a completely new franchise / type of game. Something massive at least.

Currently there's so much Nintendo throws at us, as a Nintendo fan it's difficult to keep up. But having that one thing on the horizon that you can look forward towards, and gauge at.... I liked that with Breath of the Wild, with Tears of the Kingdom, but also with Metroid Prime tbh. (though they messed up the advertisement of that one a bit in my opinion...). It shows Nintendo taking their time with a game, to make sure it is absolutely perfect in every way. I'd like one of those games again. A 10/10 for everybody.

Like Mario Odyssey, last Zelda's, Smash Brothers Ultimate and its hypecycle, but also Fire Emblem Three Houses also received massive advertisement.

@hol_up @upsidedownrowlet i absolutely disliked most of Scarlet and Violet designs. And the characters shouldn’t have been portrayed as weird fashion wearers.

I mean, the designs of at least Eri, Atticus, Iono, Mela and Ortega are way over the top weird.

Then there’s team Yell in Sword and Shield…

@Aquinas if you’re in the 0.1% you will not have experienced true poverty. And i know everything is grey.

Funny you mention that I’m thinking everything is ‘black or white’ and then follow it up with two absolute statements. Always “them”. Never “me”.

Noticed earlier that your reasoning is off. You have not experienced living with a limb less. With a drug addicted mother. After a natural hazard. It’s not always “them”. But “they” (big investors) are only caring about accumulating more and more money however they can thus money is taken away from what should actually matter and will circle around only in richer circles. Money accumulation in increasingly smaller circles is the problem of our lifetime. War in Ukraine, war in Iran, abundant focus on AI, … all of these are examples of that.

Don’t understand you can’t just recognize that fact.

@Dunkin I like your positive view on all this and hope you’re correct. To add on to it: I especially hope GameFreak will now be able to get rid of all the clumsy menus they are now forced to put into every pokemon game. And get rid of stuff that doesn’t matter to most people that aren’t focussed on min-maxing, like ev-training, natures and abilities. The pokemon games can focus again on adventure, story and collecting. And maybe turn-based combat wont be a thing anymore as well.

@Dom_31 yes, you’re right. However, i estimate at least 90% of the work on pokopia is done by Koei, since the game borrows so much from dragon quest builders 2. I think mainly the stories, overall design of the game and decision which pokemon to include and why are done by gamefreak - and all technical stuff and 3d elements are made by Koei.

Just my estimation.

This used to be a part of every mainline pokemon game. Now it’s separate, and in order to compete it seems you have to pay a subscription.

Pokemon has reached a new low during the switch era but when looking at this subscription it seems to continue the fall. Pokopia is a lucky shot since it wasn’t made by the pokemon company but by Koei Tecmo instead.

Hopefully gen 10 will elevate the franchise again somewhat.

@Aquinas as I said. You’re also one of those people who would think those rules would affect you. They don’t. They affect the top 0.1% of the richest people in the world. They are the only ones who are able to forego and break current rules. E.g. panama papers.

Another example: The EU rules against corruption are the ones that keep for instance Hungary / Orban a little bit in check. Accountability. That same accountability doesn’t apply for Georgia (not part of the EU), nor the US. And look how those countries have changed for the worse. Rules help. They are the only way to reign in the blood hounds. And no, they do not affect you, they’d actually help you.
