@Dirty0814 - Heh, you've just proven my point. Impressive! You do realize that most people don't consider speedrunning a game until they've played it countless times right? At which point, sometimes the best way to continue enjoying a game is to play it in a whole new way, like a challenge run, or a speedrun.

I don't even read comments to these anymore, as there are too many people in the past who are disrespectful/don't understand speedrunning, and competitive fighting games. Regardless, congrats to the runner!

But why? The second game was kind of a remake, and was 99x better than the first game, too... :/

Final Fantasy XII, maybe some various NES games too. Tetris 99 as well, due to the Splatoon thing; almost forgot about that.

Those who are complaining about the microtransactions already obviously haven't played FEH, Dragalia Lost or...any of the Pokémon Mobile games, including Shuffle and Rumble Blast. Any F2P game even remotely associated with Nintendo so far has proven to be extremely fun even for people like me who don't spend a cent. I'm willing to bet this game will be the same.

There's actually no possible way for this game to age well.

I personally can't wait until they re-implement the National Dex, that would make the series...what it always had been up thru Gen 8! What a novel concept! It'd almost be like re-implementing something that was a staple of every main series game to date until then!

The Wii U was a very unique console that could have made it work. Hell, they could have re-released the Stadium games and made them compatible with the 3DS VC Pokémon games. But nah, Gamefreak hated the Wii U I guess.

As much as I'd love for that to happen (she was my third choice in the Smash Ballot, after Bomberman and Tails/Knuckles (I forget who it was now)), her Spirit is pretty damning, sadly...however, she does have way more of a chance than the others due to not having a Mii Costume or being an Assist...

I'd be shocked if it wasn't coming at some point...might be nice to scratch that Pokémon itch due to me having no interest in Pokémon Sword and Shield whatsoever anymore...

Simple. Gamefreak has lost all enthusiasm for the series, while literally everyone else who has a license to develop games for the franchise still has tons. Why else would an N64 game still have better attack animations than a modern day game?

Why are people complaining about this, when it's pretty easy to deduce that most FEH players will be picking up Three Houses anyway? He's just a nice bonus! Also, if you don't play FEH, you have NO right to complain about this whatsoever BTW.

Meh, other than the online, sounds like the Saturn version I still the superior 'port' of this game. I'll just stick with that one. :/

I'm legit more excited for this than Sword/Shield now...and surprisingly, this reaction is more common than I thought it would be. I really enjoy FEH, so I have confidence in Nintendo's Gacha abilities, in it being a fun experience for even people who don't spend a cent, like me...

I mean, I feel every country and state should have at least 1, especially with GameStop being in dire straights, but maybe that's just me...

If there was anything that could confirm that removing some Pokémon from Sword/Shield was a terrible idea, this is it. Every Pokémon is indeed someone's favorite. (...except for those four)

I had one one of the DLC packs, but not the other...looks like it's finally time to get the other! It sucks though, the other platforms have gotten sales of the DLC often, so I assumed the Switch was never going to get it...

I can only wish Gamefreak felt the same way about Pokémon Sword/Shield... :/

@Clamango There will be five DLC Fighters, 3 of which have now been revealed. I guess Piranha Plant didn't count.

What really kills me is that this is exactly why everyone hated the first 3DS Mystery Dungeon game...it was just Unova Pokémon plus Pikachu. This also quells any hope I had of a good Switch Mystery Dungeon game... Gamefreak literally learned NOTHING from that game. @_@ At this point, I'd rather have the Let's Go Johto games than Sword/Shield, which is a sentence I thought I'd never type...

Awesome about the Amiibo news! Nintendo actually hinted at online Amiibo support in the hidden files of the game, but it looks like they weren't exactly ready until now.

So will the rest of the world get a PVP patch for this game too once the Pokémon Direct happens? If not, it'll suck knowing only China will have access to the best version of the game...

Unlike most games that use a pixel art aesthetic, I can actually see this one feasibly being a 16-bit game if I squint a bit. Definitely looks tempting...time to do some research!
