Ugh, I hate when companies like Sega say stuff like this. Sega isn't a small indie developer. They could port this game out whenever they like, and for not much money either. It can't be THAT hard. They ported Sonic The Fighters back during the GameCube days for crying out loud... @_@

Ironically, my best friend and roomate JUST picked the vanilla version on PS4 yesterday...and hasn't even gotten around to it due to FF7R, but...welp. We also were complaining how they didn't port it to the Switch, too...like...wow.

If any one other company could adopt this philosophy too, I wish it would be Gamefreak. Granted, this hasn't been an issue for them up until last year, but something's definitely gone wrong in there at some point after SM came out.

The starter would no doubt have been Clefairy, if you know you're stuff about REALLY early Pokémon stuff.

I mean...this is probably the best compromise one could hope for...unless you live in Belgium, where they get outright banned.

Well, with this game, we'll be able to see who the sell-out reviewing sources are. And NL... isn't looking too good with that review score RN. The only thing I'd actually say has been good about these games are the designs of the new 'mons, but in no way does that save these trainwrecks.

@Bobb I wouldn't go as far as saying they're unattainable today... I still keep my e-Reader and GBA to this day for various reasons, and for a long time, I had my only DS as the OG Phat one with the GBA slit as my only DS for compatibility reasons like these...

So...how about making this game playable on more than just 10% of phones then?

@MortalKombat2007 - When I played the demo, my biggest issue was the fact that... I just couldn't die. I mean, I could, but it was impossible to game over at all. Which is basically completely opposite to everything Contra has been up until now.

@Joker13z It suffered in quite a number of ways actually, but I'd be willing to look past all of them if every Pokémon was in the game. If the 3DS was able to fit over 800, I don't think like 100 more would make the Switch combust or anything. And we know this only happened because Gamefreak REALLY wanted to work on this passion project of theirs more than Sword and Shield, which is guranteed to have a wider audience and profit margin. Say what you will, but a main series Pokémon game without the ability to get every Pokémon by the end of the Gen (they've said multiple times they won't patch this feature in), is basically sacrilege to what the series so far has built itself around.

Wait a second... Little Town Hero...is being sold for $25. Gamefreak overly neglected a main series Pokémon game...for a game they don't even plan to sell for half the price of Sword and Shield. I mean, I'm not saying the game still couldn't essentially be an 'Earthbound 4'...but that price tag isn't inspiring much confidence from me. And Sword and Shield suffered so much for this...ugh.

I think it needs to keep it. Look at what happened to Contra Rogue Corps.

I'm surprised that 'Just DQ1' is getting so many votes compared to 'Just DQ 2-3'. Unless Square vastly improved this port from the original, DQ1 is NOT anywhere near as good as even 2, and especially not 3. Do yourself a favor - start from 3, and if you liked it, you'll probably like 2 as well, and if you liked that...play 1 as well I guess. It also makes sense lore-wise too, but you didn't read that from me. 😏

Good. Make a console with less features and bad C-Sticks, hopefully Nintendo learns better next time. On that note, the 2DSXL was a good example of making GOOD downgraded consoles.
