Re: Poll: What's The Best Pokémon Game Ever?

EmmatheBest

It all went downhill in terms of the main series from Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu onwards, in terms of main series games. Intelligent people know the side games are always golden though, somehow, almost as if everyone but Gamefreak know how to make good Pokemon games since then. @_@

(Also, hacks and mods make literally every Pokemon game that's ever existed even better, but I've tried to keep those out of my personal rankings just for fairness sake, as tge GBA games are all sorts of crazy that the 3DS games will probably need to wait years to be explored to the same extent.)

Re: Jump Force Deluxe Edition To Be Removed From Switch eShop, Online Services Will Be Shut Down

J-Stars is still online, so I compared the rosters and IPs featured in each to try and figure out which IP is pressuring Bandai Namco to just delete the game. From what I can tell, the IP in question could be:

My Hero Academia (Doubt it's this one, as it's too hot of a property to make such a fuss)
Yu-Gi-Oh (...Konami's dumb, but they aren't THAT dumb...)
Dragon Quest (...Square Enix. Big doubt about them being the culprit.)
Black Clover
City Hunter
Death Note

NGL, I have no idea who has the rights for the last three, but it's likely one of them.

Re: Review: Super Mario 64 - The Best Launch Game Ever Made

EmmatheBest

IDK man...Super Mario 64 DS was also a launch game, and was a straight up upgrade in every conceivable way, so the whole article feels pretty pointless overall...I'll admit I never played the original much until 3D All Stars, but the entire time I was, I was wishing I was playing the DS version instead. :/

Re: Review: Mario Party Superstars - A Party Most Hearty

The review...didn't quite answer the question that my mind still has...can you indeed play online with randoms? THAT, alone, will sell it for me if the Online is good, and the review implied it was, although giving less than a sentence to something so integral to the game is...weird.

Re: Nintendo's Switch Exclusive Metroid Dread Is Already Being Emulated On PC

EmmatheBest

LOL @ people saying this has to do good for the Metroid series to continue. Federation Force probably sold less than this just this weekend alone, but that didn't kill the series. Also, has everyone already forgot that Prime 4 is still being developed RN? Another Metroid is 100% guaranteed already. Nintendo does what Nintendo wants, nothing more, nothing less. And that's been the way since the beginning.

Re: SUDA51 Would Love To Revive A Lesser-Known Nintendo Classic

Erm...why would he think he wouldn't be allowed to work on Zelda? Capcom, Koei Tecmo, Brace Yourself Games, and Phillips, of all companies, have all been allowed to make Zelda games throughout the years, so clearly Nintendo is willing to work with people to let them do stuff with the IP...

Re: Hand-Drawn Game Guide Kickstarter Taken Down Following "Legal Trouble"

EmmatheBest

@Bratwurst35 - Has Nintendo ever done something like publishing strategy games for old games in the past? Like, REALLY old games? No? Yeah, there's no reason for Nintendo to have taken up the idea, due to the fact that that's just not a product that would have THAT big of a financial gain for them, and you know it. They haven't made fluff pieces for very specific niche gamers in ages. The closest you could probably argue would be Labo, and that was a direct tie-in to Switch hardware, and of course, it was made of cardboard, so I'm sure it made...SOME money in the end.

But people have offered to do incredible things with Nintendo over the years, with things like trying to get a new F-Zero game out there, and been denied, so do you REALLY think they would have entertained this niche AF product coming from literally just one really dedicated fan? Wake up. That's not how Nintendo works, and you know they would have turned him down instantly, so why are you so shocked he went the Kickstarter route instead?

Re: The Original Game In Pokémon-Like Series 'Nexomon' Lands On Switch Next Month

EmmatheBest

...I've played it. The gamePLAY is fine. The story is absolutely atrocious though. People complain about a game that takes itself too seriously? Well, this game can barely take itself seriously for more than 3 seconds. Seriously, there's an unexplained talking...Nexomon next to you who does a majority of the 4th wall breaking, and guess what, he'll ruin every single conversation in the game because of that.

After SS, I was eager to try this game on my PS4 when it released initially. But...it's bad. Like, worse than SS bad. Way worse. Just wait for Temtem or play MHS2 until Sinnoh sequels if you need a monster taming game until then.
