Picked up a PEGI UK/EU Switch copy. I was 50/50 on whether to get one for a while.

@Wexter I was hoping for a Kiwami update on all of them before I play through the rest (3, 4, 5 and 6), even though I have the 'Remastered' collection for PS4 as I was under the impression that after playing 0, Kiwami 1 and 2 they would feel very dated.

Do you think that 4, 5 and 6 are actually fine in their current form and it won't feel all that jarring after the Kiwami games?

@NeonPizza I played RE2 and RE3 on XSX, and recently bought the PS5 physical copies to use on my Pro due to the enhanced options Capcom added, so this is a timely view to read, especially considering I have a 65 inch QD-OLED.

I didn't complete RE3 originally as it disappointed me compared to RE2 but I'm going to play through them again on the Pro, and the same applies for 4, 7 and Village too - bought physical copies on PS5 to play with these upgrades.

I have a lot of RE to play as I never started 4 or Village, and hearing how good Requiem could potentially be has me excited about returning to the series again.

@LastFootnote I love Dixie 😊 but I don't like that you can't play it the way it was originally intended if you want to, along with the resolution and loading speed updates.

@Coalescence Is it only the Xbox 360 release which has that original, amazing music? What a shame if so.

Love Yoshi and would pick up some of these rather adorable things if they ever came to the UK. My bet is they won't though.

£84 with shipping and taxes. A lot for what is admittedly a great game.

Decisions to make!

Feels like playing a game years after release is the best thing to do, after many patches and sometimes updated physical releases.

404 broken link to their site (as I write this) for the NES40 collection set. Not sure if they have removed it, as going to the site directly or through a search engine they don't have a page for the collection from what I can see.

@RupeeClock My thoughts exactly! I really do like the majority of CRG's output, and the fact the stock is already in the UK or Europe and is rated PEGI (important for my OCD!) I'm pleased they exist.

Managed to get a 'ticket'. Hoping for some good things at reasonable prices, but we'll see.

I won't be parting with money for something in there it I don't think it's worth it, just as I haven't with some of their over priced games, accessories and other products.

I'm happy with this change.

Worst case, Nintendo continues to behave like they have for years now - much more corporate and greedy and removing almost all the fun, but at least there is a chance things could be different, even if only a little.

Nintendo have really dropped the ball with this development kit delay.

Was it deliberate I wonder, or a massive oversight on their part, even though they knew full well when the console would be launched, and could have easily delayed the release a little longer to give devs more time?

Either way, it's a poor situation, and I think it'll affect them more than they realise.

As someone who buys physical games and the owner of a Switch 2 and PS5 Pro, the above makes the decision for me. It'll have to be a PS5 copy now, which is fine but a shame.

@Darthmoogle I too am disappointed with this, and waited this long for the very reason, to have everything on the cart.

I bought this pretty much at launch and barely played it after being burnt out on the first two, but I'm considering getting back into it again.

Am I likely to have a good time in the multiplayer despite being out of practice and not used to S3?

I know some battery back-up cartridges had problems with retaining data after such a long time, so if these have, that's great news.

@PJOReilly I'm gathering that a number of people in the comments seem to think that just 12 levels/stages and them being remixed at that is not especially good (though you've played them, and seen the other additional content which they haven't), so I'm wondering, are the remixed levels quite substantial or in the main a 're-skin' with a few new areas away from the main level flow?

I'm not sure why they couldn't just create 12 entirely new levels rather than remixing existing ones, or 12 new AND remixing some or all of the base game levels.

@Mana_Knight I bought it back in 2022, but never played this, so I'll be selling the physical copy I have and bought the S2 one instead.

I'm excited, as I understand it's a great game and the new release should be even better. Did you enjoy it, and is there any level of challenge especially when going for the full completion?

@Davestator Thank you. I actually don't like the gameplay for DD that much but do like everything else about the games (strange I know) so I think this is more appealing!

That does look like fun, but as above, it's just a little too much.

I think if it were £9.99 I'd be interested, or a physical version with at least half a dozen games.

@ParsnipHero I don't really understand the decision at all, because it would have sold many more copies from when it was delisted right to this day I think, and if they even kept it digital only after the physical release stock sold through, they are just doing themselves out of money.

It might have caused FOMO when it was available and caused more people to pick it up sooner than they otherwise would have, but I think the overall sales total will have been a net loss compared to keeping it available.

@SBandy1 One of the worst things Nintendo have done in my opinion is closing this down. I enjoyed this 99 game so much more than the others, and actually managed to win some of them too! I still have it installed on my Switch (now Switch 2) as I refuse to delete it.

I feel like a lot of this is down to Audi Sorlie's love for Bubsy. He's spoken of his 'love' and passion for Bubsy for a long time now and I hope it pays off but I expect the audience to be pretty limited.

I like the look of this. Gives me Circuit Superstars vibes but solely focused on F1.

Came here to find out about the performance and I see that it's 30fps on Switch 2. Anyone who has played it on S2, even though it's got the 30fps cap, is it at least smooth compared to playing it on S1?

I would hope they unlock it for S2 in addition to tweaking the performance on both, and ideally before the physical cartridge is produced.

@DennyCrane That is sad, and I do love my nature. Hopefully one day it can recover sufficiently. I'm all for UK rain!

I think the seasons as we used to know them are no more, but it would be nice still to get a bit of consistency with warm temperatures over the July to September period again and then back to the spring and autumn windows of old. I left out winter as I really hate being cold, even if I can wrap up! If it's going to snow though, do it properly!

Should never be a problem in the UK, with this 'summer' we're having. Maybe they should remove that season from the calendar in future years.

@coolioam You're right, it doesn't make much sense. I think what has convinced me to get it anyway though is the review on NL, because even though they thought the performance wasn't good, the game itself was good enough to still be fun, and get an 8/10.

@Sylamp It's not a let off, but I think the team who made this was incredibly small, so I'm not going to be too mad about it.

I still might get it because out of playing it on my gaming laptop and Switch, I think I'd still take the comfort option and my 65-inch display, plus I would at least own the game instead of it being a digital download.

@coolioam These kinds of comments are putting me off getting the physical version. Thought having a Switch 2 and playing with the performance patch would make it an easy decision.

I like my filters because when I can't play on my original CRT, this is a fairly decent solution when implemented well, but these screenshots to me look almost identical.

I'll have to try it myself, as I'm sure it'll be more obvious, surely.

Surprisingly detailed for a Nintendo patch, I'm quite shocked.

If it doesn't run particularly well on Switch 2, I'll move my physical pre-order to PS5.

Good news, compared to closing down anyway. Through the developers on their books, Thunderful have released some great games, particularly in the earlier years, though a few more duds in recent times.

The new Atari haven't done everything right, but a lot has been good so far, and I expect this'll be an overall positive move.

Finally going to play GRIS and if I have enough time to finish it, I'll start on Neva 😊

A shame but it can only be better for everyone by the time we get it.

@Vegeta937 Glad it isn't just me! The only way I'm using portable mode currently is to put it on a table and either remove the Joycons to control or the Pro 2 controller, when I'm away from the TV. It's ok in certain situations but doesn't feel truly portable if I can't comfortably hold it.

I'd love to try games like this handheld, but the console is just too heavy and uncomfortable for me to hold for any real length of time.

Pleasing to see so many female players. I expected it would be much more than it would have been back in the 90s, but this is great.

Does that mean there will be a third physical named the Expanded Expanded Edition?

I suffer with this on certain games, but it's usually down to the engine. Duke Nukem 3D 20th Annivesary (or whatever it is called) does it to me within minutes of playing, Ion Fury and a lot of the Nightdive games, such as Quake, Quake 2 and the Turok trilogy.

Hopefully this won't be the case here.
