Once it gets a physical release and all of the updates then I'm in

99% of my purchases are physical and sometimes I'll have to wait years to get a physical release of a game but I'll do it when I have to.

Occasionally I'll go for digital if I know that it's incredibly unlikely to get a physical release, or the game is so cheap it wouldn't make sense to go for an out of print physical copy, but almost always I'd rather own the game for my physical collection, and the resale value should I ever decide to get rid of them.

Physical copy for me but I wish it was coming out at the same time as the digital.

People getting an upper hand for multiplayer and the community might have dwindled significantly by the time December comes around. Hopefully not!

I was rubbish at the first one but still enjoyed it. I'll be interested to see how this is and also hope for a physical double pack.

I'm not sure what to think of these releases. Am I seeing it the wrong way that these are basically ROM's on a cartridge with not much else added and we're being charged a handsome price to own them?

Nobody is forcing me to buy and that's fine but I'm simply wanting to get a feel for if I'm missing the point of these releases or not. I own most of the old shoot em ups on original cartridges, so I'm undecided.

@CANOEberry Is that the one with the US rating, by Red Art Games I think it is?

I ask because I have been looking to get the PEGI version from Pixnlove which is my preference being from the UK, but that one definitely came out prior to this patch, so I'm on the fence now!

@ZealMajin So glad you mentioned this! I don't like SLG very much and much prefer to get retail where I can. I assume the retail may not come with a manual though?

Thank you, that helps. I suppose a lot of Mario games aren't that tough really and even if this game is between five and ten hours, that's actually still longer than the original classic Mario games by some distance, even World.

Isn't it short and easy? I would have bought it by now but both those suggestions have put me off. I don't want 'Dark Souls' difficulty but I like a challenge.

I'm really glad I managed to get the NES, SNES, N64 and Mega Drive controllers right from the start to avoid all of this stress. I don't envy people trying to get them now with the scalpers at play.

Luckily had 620 points, so just ordered them. I got the N64 ones too when they were available previously.

One day I hope they stop with the extra content and release a physical copy with everything on the cart and discs (for Xbox and PS). What they have done since the retail copy came out makes a mockery of the content on there lol.

@Sisilly_G I want this and hope that the back of the game box is fully in English too. I'm sure it is but haven't managed to see a picture yet.

I'm also wondering if it has English on the cart this time, unlike the prior game which I believe needed a patch.

I'm really not sure what the big rush is on the Zelda CE to make it sell out everywhere.

It's really poor value and even as a big Zelda fan, I just can't see the appeal. I can only assume it's scalpers doing the majority of the pre-ordering.

Aquatic Ambience from DKC is fantastic (as is the Goldeneye 007 pause music), so I picked that one from the limited choices but Stickerbrush Symphony from DKC2 is just incredible and one of my favourites of all time.

David Wise is a genius and I was surprised that a game from the 16-bit era could aurally make me feel emotional but it really did.

Does anyone know if the Advanced Edition content is included in the physical edition please?

Did anyone really expect this company to do anything the right way?

That said, clearly they understood their market correctly as the game has been snapped up at the inflated prices, so what do I know.

I got the cute Mega Drive and N64 controllers but I refuse to pay the uplift for the retro games which Nintendo feel like gatekeeping.

I just have so much fatigue from the way they reset with each new console and then drip feed the games super slowly and make you pay for them all over again, with the exception of Wii to Wii U, though only by doing a one time transfer which I didn't like.

I wouldn't want to try running away from Mr X if I can't rely on my internet! Absolutely loved this game on the Series X, my best game of that year.

I like the look of this....and a physical too! Is it made by the same developers who did Toki? Loved that one!

I'll be getting the Special Reserve physical edition next year as by then it will have been patched and their release includes DLC on the cart!

I was all for ordering a physical LRG copy but with the state of the game on release I figured it was a waste of time having one when it's likely I will have a very poor version on the cart preserved.

If LRG delayed the physical production until it's had some solid patches I would be all for it.

This looks adorable. I hope we get to play this and I would think so.

Do Japanese trailers have all English text? If I wasn't told this was only confirmed for release in Japan and I saw that trailer I probably would have assumed it was announcing it for NA, EU or both.

I'm going to get it and that's because I haven't played Splatoon 2 for years now. I got what I wanted out of that game and moved on, so this will feel fresh again, whereas someone who played the second game through up until very recently might feel differently.

I'm sure it could have all been added to the sequel but for the number of hours I dare say a large number of the players get out of it, around £40 is not a bad trade at all.

Looking forward to this game as I really enjoyed Splatoon 2 for a time and I don't know why but I completely stopped playing it, somewhere around when the last main Splatfest was.

It's been long enough since S2 that I'm ready for some more painting!

I'm sure it will be fine but I hope the game doesn't give me motion sickness like Duke Nukem 3D 20th and Ion Fury do.

@Slowdive My first thought was, this looks a bit 2000's PC gaming era graphics, animation and so on, a bit like Terminator Resistance and then I read your comment.

I enjoyed Terminator despite the rough edges and clear lower budget than most games, I think a lot of it due to loving the Terminator universe in general and as I have similar feelings for Robocop, I expect I will be satisfied with this too.

I'll wait and see if I can get it as a physical release.

An opinion probably nobody will agree with but for me the first game on the NES (TMHT for me 😛) is my favourite by some distance.

Nostalgia plays a part for sure but even when I play it now I still think the same. A lot of people probably jumped on the AVGN bandwagon and started disliking it.

Aside from being Ninja Turtles and not Hero Turtles (as I grew up with here in the UK) I love everything about this, despite side scroller beat em ups not being my favourite type of game generally.

The nods to the original 80's cartoon which I still love to this day has made it unmissable for me.
