"Pre-production on the new Mass Effect game also continues."
It's been 3 years since they announced it and development has yet to even properly begin. Which is not a surprise, as the members of the Mass Effect team joined the development of the new Dragon Age, which was announced in 2018 and has yet to even get a release date.
1) The digital price of Red Dead Redemption + Undead Nightmare is 40 bucks combined. At 50, this port is kinda expensive.
2) From the looks of it, it will be a straightforward port rather than a remaster.
-On the negative side, they ask for a higher price for what is, essentially, the same game without any improvements.
-On the positive side, without any "definitive edition" shenanigans that could introduce new bugs and/or performance issues, this should run well on the Switch.
3) The game's size on the Xbox 360 is around 9GBs. If the game is indeed a straigthforward port, then it should fit fine on a 16 GBs cartridge. The extra 2 months till the physical release should allow Rockstar to include some of the early patches in the cartridge. Keyword being should, because nothing compels Rockstar to either not cheapen on cart capacity or actually bother to include the latest patch.
I don't like the Japanese version at all. Link looks like he has been photoshopped in the cover, instead of being part of it. The cropping only makes things worse.
@Wexter
There is no complete 60 FPS mod on PC. The Tales of Symphonia fix only applies 60 FPS to the menu and the world map, but not to the meat of the game, which is the combat. The Gamecube version is still the only one that has 60 FPS on combat.
1) Do barely any improvements.
2) Have same 30 FPS shenanigans as every version not called Gamecube.
3) 40 bucks, double the price of the Steam version's undiscounted price which, in turn, is regularly on sale for a fiver.
4) No effort to even voice the previously-unvoiced skits.
I like Symphonia as the Gamecube classic it always was, but this is not how to bring it back properly. Tales of Vesperia was a better effort and costs only 10 more (and that's only because of the Switch tax). Hopefully, Bandai Namco does a better job with Baten Kaitos.
On Steam, Final Fantasy I & II each costs 12 bucks. Final Fantasy III-VI each costs 18 bucks. There is a bundle that groups them all together for 75 bucks, which also happens to be the price of the standard physical edition.

A remaster so bad that it's making barebone ports look divine by comparison.

On the plus side, the game launches in only 10 days, so we'll soon have an idea about the port's state and its upcoming physical version.
