Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

Disappointing. I mean, it would have been impossible to not have some degree of disappointment after 8 years of waiting, but I really thought that Retro Studios could have done better. Even if you removed the annoying NPCs and the pointless desert exploration, it would still be linear, easy (Thanks Retro for locking Hard mode. Very cool.) and uninspired (Was it really necessary to have the Volt Forge repeat itself thrice? Was it really necessary to have all those stupid double doors in Flare Pool? And what's with the names of those locations? Ice Belt? Really? Couldn't you have gone for something more exotic sounding?) I have enjoyed it somewhat so far, but no way it gets higher than 6.

@Toastmaster
I know that. The article I posted talks about Atari's (Infogrames) bankruptcy in 2013 where they ended up selling a lot of their games to companies such as Nordic (now known as Embracer) and Tommo. They did eventually reemerge next year and somehow managed to keep chugging along, until their transformation in 2021 to the current back-to-the-roots Atari.
