Sure, if the complication was called "lazy greed".

It took ConcernedApe 4 years, give or take, to release Stardew Valley. Since he is still going the solo developer route (while at the same time releasing updates for Stardew Valley), I'm not surprised that it's taking him this long. Humorously, people back then were also worried that Stardew Valley would never release and some of them were getting frustrated that he was rejecting help, because he wanted to do things on his own.

Likely because it's a bunch of licensed games that would have required a new contract for new platforms. It's also very telling that the collection is not handled by Capcom (the original publisher), who might have not seen the idea as particularly profitable.

But are they a small indie company that is being held back by weak hardware and/or the big, bad Pokemon Company, or are they really that bad of a developer? That's what this release will show.

Here is the litmus test. Can Game Freak actually create a good-looking 3D game? 3DS was "holding them back". Switch was "holding them back". Pokemon was "holding them back". Now? No excuses.

Rick Moranis at home didn't improve Metroid Prime 4. Remove him and the game becomes better.

The game that just received "Worst PC port of 2025" by Digital Foundry? That's going to be a wild one, for sure.
