Haven’t played Puzzmix but the Gunvolt games are really impressive and well-made. Between Gunvolt and Blaster Master, Inti is one of my favorite game-related companies.

Personally, I don’t give a rat’s patoot. 60 is nice but I’ll mostly always prefer the 30 range as that is more cinematic, especially for cutscenes.

I am utterly SHOCKED we got extreme g! It and the sequel are of the best racing games of the era!

Guys where is Astebros or Lords of Exile on this list?! Astebros runs on original hardware and Lords of Exile is like Castlevania (although not nearly as polished but deserves mention!)

That first video, I was thinking about doing the exact thing. Not filming it but just firing up Mario Kart and playing online as I barrel head-first into the Nintendo server shut down black abyss.
That video actually brought a tear to my eye. The 3DS is still my favorite system ever (next to N64) for so many reasons. Perfectly designed and just so pocketable and portable.
Bring back streetpass (and the railroad)!

Although not a fan of this “let’s try again; here’s a better second version of the game at full price!” practice, this is one really good game. I’m biting 100% but it feels wrong. It should be a DLC for folks who bought, and supported, Atlas the first time.
It really irks me when I think about it.

This game’s soundtrack alone is worth it though. Its just such a memorable and brutally difficult game 😍

Not counting muddiness, it runs great on my launch Switch.
That being said, might get this on PS5 this go round just to experience the full potential and “something different”

It seems like the game is packed with really cool dialogue during gameplay which I am a fan of. Not a fan of tutorials blazing during gameplay in some games but dialogue exchanges during gameplay is a really cool flair for games and is always a +.

EDIT: Not 100% certain but it does seem like the trailer above is Switch-specific. And it looks great… just finally preordered the physical copy 😍

I love 2D Mario but I’ll go ahead and say I’d prefer an Odyssey 2 or some other SM64-like.
It’ll be hard to pull off though without being too gimmicky.

Am I missing something? Are these games not being released physically? Digital only?

Why are they being so secretive about the digital version of this game?
There really better be an upgrade path for those who “invested” in the first “base” release.
Something tells me there will not be. I love Atlus but this is really irking me.

If companies handled their backlogs better I feel like emulation wouldn’t be such a hot topic but software updates and server shutdowns literally decimate years of history in a single flip of a switch. We’ve all become digital hoarders.

First off, I love love love this game. Next to Star Fox 64, this had to be my most played game on N64. I loved the branching paths and the inclusion of the OG game on it but with additional armor options and stuff…
It’s just so good and I hope it comes to Switch at some point.
I never saw the EU version of the cover until today and although I love it (those colors! 😍 ) I still gotta stick with the US one. It’s just intriguing and definitely nostalgic.

I’m wondering if I should go full on brand new experience with PS5 or have the portable option with Switch.
I had no gripes with performance on Switch whatsoever but I could tell it would really shine with enhanced graphics.
…or do I stick with having the portable option.

My gut is saying stick with Switch.

It's Castlevania 64 and Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness all over again! AND I'M HERE FOR IT!! Definitely buying this! Hopefully there's an improvement to the performance also — the original is completely playable and nowhere near the mess that is Pokémon Scarlet/Violet but it'd be cool for a boost in performance to smooth it over.

Hoping for R-Type Command, Metal Slug Tactics, Rare Replay (please?), Earthion, Ex-Zodiac, that “Castlevania 3D collection” that @Zuljaras mentioned above…
Would love Resident Evil 2 and 3 PS1 ports, and while we’re at it, Parasite Eve ports!!
….To name a few that I’m hoping to see. 😁

@CJD87 YES PLEASE, MORE STAR FOX. Would love to jump back into Zero but with “improved” controls. The game was beautiful and it was a shame having to shrink down to the turret view to aim at stuff. It really took away from the games environments having to shift your focus away from all the lively, vibrant worlds.
Or just a new one or even a remastered version of SF64 with hi-def graphics or something. I love SF64 so much…

I love it but frankly, the GWM5610 models are the end all be all: solar, 6-band radio support, raise wrist to auto-light the back light…

I guess that means there will probably be some kind of a story involved with fluff and this and that. I just hope there’s some kind of classic arcade mode we can jump right into versus having to sit through bland and shallow cutscenes and story beats.
In any case this is exciting and I’m glad Sega is finally reviving some things!

I’m adding this to my wishlist - I love me a good collectathon platformer. (I grew up in that n64 era)

As a huge 2D Sonic fan, I still haven’t bought it either. It’s just because it released in a month where I could only pick and choose so many games and also buy gifts and…
I ended up getting Mario Wonder and I didn’t even buy Spiderman 2 yet either.

I do plan to get Sonic someday, maybe soon, but that’s why I’ve held off.
I would’ve rathered another Sonic Mania style game. New zones, 2D Sonic, cool music…. You know.

I more or less despised shmups my whole life. I always tried them but ultimately would give up for how delicate and twitchy they can be.
Gleylancer’s Switch release switched that for me. I just thought I’d give it a try and I’m so glad I did. The music, the story, the gameplay… all 🤌
And I love how NG+ runs increase difficulty.
I think I might get this if only to have Gleylancer on a cart.

@RupeeClock Imagine if they released both games on one cart and when you beat BOTW, it transitions smoothly right into Tears.
I can't imagine them releasing BOTW a third time but if they enhanced it a little to bring it in line with TOTK (better water effects, better clouds, etc.) then maybe... juuuust maybe.

I used to play the crap out of geometry wars on xbox 360 back in the day. This Survivor variation looks good, a natural progression of the core game. I've been looking to scratch my geometry wars itch ever since 2006-7-8 so im pretty happy.

I'm finally able to get into tears of the kingdom and have been putting in some solid hours so might wait until this weekend to buy when I'll actually play it.

I never understood why Sonic 2 is ranked higher than Sonic 3 and even Sonic & Knuckles.
Don’t get me wrong, Sonic 2 is phenomenal but to me Sonic 3 (& Knuckles) cripples the previous entries. Marble Garden’s music is top notch.
All the music is still stuck in my head from 3 and knuckles and likely always will until I’m dead.

Well crap now I wanna play the game having talked about it.

Even though I’m deep into the game on my Analogue Pocket and original GBA cart (it’s been lovely) I think I need to experience it with QOL updates.

I really dig these but that price tag is outrageous. No chance…
If I knew these would be usable with Super Switch I’d MAYBE consider it (I still have my OG joy cons only for my launch day switch) but with this gen on its way out it’s hard to justify. Still... Either way you cut it, that price is WOAH.

Maybe I’m not a big enough shovel knight fan: if these were Tunic joy cons, I’d probably be going for it.

I’m surprised we didn’t get colored carts this gen.
Well actually, I’m not surprised and here’s why:
After the Wii U, I feel like Nintendo played it real safe with the Switch as in, very focused, very bare-bones, plays games, plays them well. They made a simple basic cartridge, a simple system UI, basic features, one cart color, etc.
I think the next system will be a fully realized Switch. Perhaps the next will have those extra features like StreetPass, more USB peripherals for the dock like maybe a sensor bar to allow light guns or the ability to plug in 3DS carts or stuff like that, and colored carts.
Nintendo doesn’t have to play it safe anymore in other words: the Switch is crazy successful so they have more room to play now as opposed to trailing the Wii U which I’m sure made them take a hit financially.
Switch 2 will be the Switch fully realized — with colored special edition (gold Zelda) carts — mark my words.

“New Mario Kart 8 DX Plus Pro” will be a launch title as well as “1-2 Switch 2-1”.

Nintendo hardware reveals are always so exciting- I can’t wait for them to announce this thing already!
Hell, I’ll even take a Direct. I feel like it’s been AGES since we had one…

It’s insane to me to think about how this developer supported this game basically through the entire Switch life cycle.

The style they went with is perfect. They could’ve easily went with that Fire Emblem mobile game style (looks shiny or has a weird gloss to it, heads move weirdly on their bodies, etc.) but they didn’t and went more Blaster Master Zero/Inti Creates/Mega Man X and I love it.
Retains the nostalgia but improves it slightly.

I honestly do like that idea quite a bit too. I love how they let you connect everything too… I might need to give these a proper go, the 3DS game wasn’t all that bad, especially for a handheld title.

This whole thing sort of reminds me of a Fargo/Zelda/American Horror Story kind of thing where it’s all the same universe but there are different versions of stories and they connect sort of …
It’s a cool concept.

I’m VERY tempted by that Etrian Odyssey price. Now we’re talkin, Atlus.

I have them on 3DS but … at that price it’s hard to resist. 😬
