Re: Nintendo Unlikely To Bring Original Marvel Ultimate Alliance Games To Switch

BlueKnight07

I promise everybody that not porting the first two will be fine.

The games come from an era when HD was still mind blowing and 720p was the high standard. Even then the characters in the first one were criticised for looking like action figures. It was also criticised for not having enough heroes in the roster. Activision/Raven developed more heroes in response as DLC but I think they were only made available to the Xbox 360 version. My point is I'm not sure if a port would have them all. It also had a super generic story. The second one was an improvement, and the story was an adapted version of Civil War. But the story continuity is not something to worry about with this series.

I'm really looking forward to this. Unjust think this is a series where we needn't worry about rehashing past games to enjoy this one.

Re: Overwatch Director Says Blizzard Is "Very Open-Minded" About Switch Release

Overwatch is now one of my top 5 games of all time (so I'm biased) but I think it would be great for Switch. The graphics can be scaled to suit, just make sure it's at 60FPS. I do think gyro controls need to make it in. Some characters (Widowmaker, McCree, etc.) just don't do as well on console, buy gyro would fix that.

Yes, the game is over 2 years old, but there has been a steady stream of new content and a sizeable competitive community that's not going away anytime soon. Gyro controls and crossplay with PC would give the community plenty of reason to keep playing. I thought Nintendo wanted more esport games, anyway...

Re: Yes, King K. Rool Really Is Coming To Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

@Caryslan He does have a helicopter backpack for a recovery, which would be DKC3. The move with his stomach looked like a Fire Emblem style counter to me.

I'm trying to figure out the fighting style...I'm guessing the boxing gloves hits as hard as DK does, but he has a projectile game, too. He didn't seem near as mobile as DK, either.

Re: Review: Code Of Princess EX (Switch)

@Drommajin the game has a lot of of 4th wall humor, making fun of other RPG's and fantasy games in general. It's almost a parody. The clothes and character comments are kind of a running gag throughout the game.

Re: Take-Two Says Its Switch Releases Have Been "Successful", More Games To Come

BlueKnight07

I dunno. Glad to hear they're happy with sales. Kind of bothers me a casual game like Carnival Games is getting greenlighted instead of the other options.

@NEStalgia I think the Switch is doing a lot better as to covering the market so far...may not be getting every game but third party games have been an improvement. Biggest issue I see is that it's not really the latest AAA games and more AAA from a couple of years ago. But they're not novelty games, either. Nintendo doesn't seem keen to follow up on 1-2 Switch, at least.
