Never backed any Kickstarter, but hate to see the drama.
I have watched Spawn Wave's Let's Play video of Tiny Metal and it does look very good, reminds me a lot of Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. I actually intend to download, and really hope the drama doesn't hurt the game.
For me, I've always been primarily a Nintendo gamer. I've had a gaming pc for the last few years, and most of that time has went into StarCraft II and Overwatch. Personally, I'm real glad to see these games finding their way onto Switch. Partly for me, but not all these games are my thing. I just want to see Nintendo get 3rd parties like they did in the NES/SNES days. There would be something good for everybody on Switch if it could just get there.
Just speaking about the game in general...if you like Bomberman you will most likely enjoy this. I bought it at launch and didn't feel cheated. The multiplayer is good. The campaign is not the most epic thing I ever played, but to look at comments I'm not sure what some people are really expecting out of Bomberman these days. I guess some people are thinking it should be priced like an indie title even though it's from Konami.
@yeayeanaynay I have the game, the campaign was legit to to me. Basically, if you like classic Bomberman, the game delivers. It definitely does not reinvent the wheel, but it's what you would expect. Boss battles are pretty epic.
This game gave me a bad feeling from the beginning...seemed like they were having too hard a time. Unoptimized code is clearly straining the hardware, kinda like the Arkham Knight PC port a couple years back.
@ThanosReXXX just wanted to say I read your Sony story and don't blame you.
When I was a kid in the late 90s I used to hate Sony because I felt like they stole Mega Man, Final Fantasy, and others from Nintendo. I now know that's not exactly what happened, but it sure felt that way at the time.
@WaitroseDad64 I think you have the right understanding. Basically, whenever a game like Xenoblade or Mother 3 doesn't come to NA, he's usually the one answering questions and becomes a face for people to get angry with. I think his job is more about PR, marketing, distribution in NA. The amount of input he would have in getting games to NA has never been clear in my mind, though NOA does localize games. He also has a certain corporate aura about him that seems to draw derision.
I do think one the Wii U's biggest faults was the marketing...NOA could have done more at the time, I think.
Well, I guess those who bought a PS4 (not the Pro) might take interest in a PS5 a couple years from now. But like most of everyone else here, I doubt it. It would have to be very expensive on the current track.
I'm thinking a Switch with an X2 board or something like that. Just keep the form factor, more under the hood.
Not surprised. I haven't played every Sonic but with the ones I did I thought the problem was level design. The good 2D designs never translated well to 3D, to me at least. Sega really needs to let a fresh team look at it and start over from scratch.
Donkey Kong is very plausible, I could see Retro working on this. As long as it's been since Tropical Freeze, though, I can't help but think they are working on something else, too.
I'm thinking online is the one thing most people wish would be more like Sony or Microsoft...but that's the price we pay for Nintendo's innovations elsewhere, I guess.
Reggie does have a point about 3DS, though. For all the talk about Switch, there will be quite a few families with insufficient funds this year. At least Pokemon and Samus Returns will be on the shelf for them.
There are people out there who still treat the Wii like a awesome party machine. Makes me wonder if Nintendo will still push casual games for Switch later on. 1-2 Switch was there for a reason.
When I first saw, I was excited. Thought it it would do well, but wondering how third parties would do, how the software lineup will be. The amount of indie games available, support from Bethesda, and the holiday lineup in general is my biggest surprise. I'm still a little frustrated that Switch doesn't have some of the things that I'm used to (Virtual Console, YouTube, Netflix, etc.) but overall I'm happy.
So, maybe a dumb question but have to ask. Are Mario and Peach really supposed to be getting married in this game??? I've seen all the wedding clothes but hadn't seen anything spelling it out.

Re: Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura Arrives on the Switch This Week in Japan
With all the news in the US about people being groped, the news media would eat NOA alive right now if this was released.
Part of me would like would like to see how Reggie would spin this one.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Misango as the New ARMS Fighter

So many games! And they're not shovelware! This is honestly the best holiday I can remember for a Nintendo system.

Re: Review: RiME (Switch)
@ThanosReXXX I get that...I wouldn't say I hate them now, either. I would still rather spend my money elsewhere.

Doom! And UNO!

Re: Bandai Namco To Announce Three Big Switch Titles Early Next Year
Anything would be good...part of me wishes Namco and Nintendo would get together and remaster the Baten Kaitos games for Switch.

I'm expecting amiibo to pop up somewhere this time...maybe more about the world or story.

Re: These Are The Nintendo Switch's Million-Selling Games
Good numbers all around, really. I do wish ARMS did better, but at least BOTW and MK8 Deluxe got a chance to shine, unhindered by Wii U install base.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Halloween Edition
Knight Terrors is surprisingly good. Been playing Samus Returns, too.
