As part of the Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase Summer 2018, Nintendo has revealed that Hyper Light Drifter will be available on 6th September. If that's not enough good news for you, it also comes with exclusive content.

Inspired by dreams and nightmares, this game has you playing as the Drifter. Plagued with illness, you must wield forgotten technology to make your way through a world in the hopes of finding a cure. The game is a 2D action role-playing title that pays homage to 8-bit and 16-bit games with its pixelated style, and was received warmly by critics when it first arrived on other platforms.

The newly shown off gameplay footage showcases a new outfit which helps the player to locate hidden goodies on screen. There are also a couple of new weapons making their way to the game - the Crystal Shot and the deadly Blade Caster - which both come as rewards for completing the exclusive Tower Climb.

Hyper Light Drifter will be available to play on Switch starting from 6th September, and players can pre-purchase the game today (from 6pm UK time). It'll set you back $19,99 / €19,99€.
