Re: SEGA Knows Fans Want Sonic Adventure 3

BlueKnight07

You have to keep in mind...right now he is probably dealing with the fact that a fan-made throwback has gathered more critical praise than his Sonic Team-made, 3D big budget efforts. I'm reading frustration in those statements.

I liked the Adventure games for what they were, and I can understand the need to innovate and improve. What I think the 3D games keep messing up with is level design and the innovations they do have usually create more problems...Sonic Mania works because the levels are quality. They introduce new ideas for getting around, but you can still move fast and the player feels good while moving fast. When they added things like werewolf levels in Unleashed, I just scratched my head. Sonic and the Secret Rings for Wii ended up being my favorite just because I felt I could work towards getting good enough to complete levels quickly/smoothly.

@thesilverbrick me neither.

@BanjoPickles Yeah, this is the most epic year one for a Nintendo Console in a long time. To me, this and the E3 Directs were all about letting people know they mean business on the software lineup. I hope the holiday goes well....seems like it has to.

Re: Doom Will Bring Hell to Switch This Holiday Season

In May 2016, I could have never imagined this happening. All I can say is that if Bethesda can bring Skyrim and Doom to Switch and be willing to bring Wolfenstein, too, Capcom and the rest shouldn't have any excuses. I still can't believe that Bethesda is the one making the investment on Switch, but I hope the games sell well enough for Bethesda to stick around.

Re: Playtonic Gives Update On Yooka-Laylee For Switch

@GeminiSaint thanks for the objective description. Just speaking for me, I didn't back it but meant to buy for Wii U upon release. I can understand why it moved to Switch, but don't feel like they were upfront about it and can't help but wonder why this wasn't executed better. At this point I may be getting a less buggy version but I had to wait for months and will likely be paying full price when it's cheaper elsewhere. Still like the game, still want to play it. Just not convinced I should award Playtonic with full MSRP.
