@NintendoWife It will continue to sell steadily I would think, with Christmas around the corner it should keep within the top 10 until the new year, if not beyond...

@JimNorman Great, Thank you for this. That's very small, FC 25 performed much better than this generally, often some weeks even having the largest share (this was often when it was on a steep sale however) It's not a bad port, hopefully it's share will increase in the coming weeks. Thank you once again.

An easy pass then from me... The demo was poor, and the idea of spending ages in the customisation menus also is a big turn off...
Input delay, too... Well, at least I don't have to think long and hard about it, we move on...

Debating picking up the Kirby upgrade... It just seems like something which can be finished in 2/3 hours... Is it worth it?

@Erigen It does have plenty of life left in it... I expect sales to continue to slowly decrease of the console but game releases will continue well into 2026. Nintendo is supporting it with a couple of titles into 2026 itself. Expect RPG'S and niche titles, to release on Switch well into 2027, especially in Japan, too.

@KociolekDoSyta Thank you, that's not good, nearly as bad as a key card, not quite, but nearly... Still I suppose you can trade it in, unlike the Switch 2 version. Both are bad options really....

@Suketoudara That's good to know, I want to get the Switch 2 version but just hate the code in a box. Almost tempted just to get the Switch 1 version just to have it actually on a cart....
However, I will likely get the Switch 2 version when on a discount via the E-Shop at this rate...

@nib0 Unfortunately there is no route to upgrade to the Switch 2 version. The Switch 2 version has better graphics, is clearer and less muddy visually, quicker loading too, I believe. (However, the Switch 1 version considering the hardware is a very solid game for what it is I have heard)

Things are starting to slowly pick up for the Switch 2 with releases but we need a release date for MP4 to go alongside Pokemon and Kirby Air Riders for Christmas.. Elden Ring, although third Party could be promoted too over the festive season along with other big third party games in a third-party games reel if you will, also featuring titles such as FC26, Cyberpunk, Starwars Outlaws, Borderlands 4 etc...
This will help show the depth of games arriving this holiday season to the platform..

Great sales so far, but stock, especially here in the UK is now readily available in all major UK retailers. With stock so plentiful I expect sales to be strong but Nintendo will now need to provide release dates for the major upcoming games shortly to help keep things moving along in the run up to Christmas.
Yesterday's direct while it pads out the release schedule nicely, is a bit underwhelming to be honest.
I will be looking for announcements and shadow drops on the Nintendo App to hot up over the next few weeks with releases dates for Metroid 4, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment and Kirby Air Riders shortly. We really need Splatoon Raiders to make 2025 too...
Time will tell.

Switch 2 is starting to get a few must have games, Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World, Fast Fusion, along with Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Additional content next month. It's getting nearer to a must buy.
We need a direct now to give us a roadmap of the rest of the year for Nintendo to show us how they plan to keep things exciting going forward...

12 is enough considering the price. Hopefully another 6 tracks, so 2 cups will be in the post launch update down the line. I would be prepared to pay additional for that to get 18 in total.

@BaldB3lper78 Nintendo has timed the release nicely in regards to the shopping periods, although not in regards with the tariffs.
It will sell out at launch and even at the higher price in my opinion just when sales would start to die down the Christmas season will be upon us.. It could easily be Feb/March 2026 before it's readily available in shops on the shelf.

@chardir Mine has just closed, so it's just as well... Literally pointless going in there. Full of Funko Pops, Board Games and very few actual video games...

The game looks great, but not £75 great... It's sad that Nintendo are now setting the industry standard for the highest prices..

It's a big increase over Switch games.. Average Switch first party games new are roughly £40 to £45 day one. Now they are talking about £70.. That's a bit absurd. Well I have 90+ Switch physical games, but I can see myself being far more selective this time around.. Waiting for discounts, sales etc... It's a big increase, no doubt.

Tetris 99 for the theme and finishing off Bakeru too. It's been fantastic, the spiritual successor to Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon 👏

This is terrible, with the crease right down the middle of the screen... Just no.

@Banjo- I have the soundtrack on my playlist, four or five of the tracks are classic's. It was certainly a well made game for an early N64 title. Better than Extreme-G 2 in my opinion which while it had more tracks, many of these not not as well designed.
As you say, it plays great today on the bigger screens.
The Turok remasters are well worth picking up, especially when on a sale. They had all 3 (Turok, Turok 2, and 3) in a great offer recently, they are well worth playing.

It was my Christmas 1998 present from my grandparents and now my most played game on the Nintendo 64 online app on the Switch. The soundtrack is great and brings back good memories.
Turok 2, Turok: Rage Wars, Shadowman and Re-volt got plenty of gametime too, they supported the N64 well with many great games, along with a few duff one's admittedly too.

Admittedly, it was likely not played very much. Comically, now an article has been made the game, it will likely be played more in it's last month than all the other time it had on there put together 🤣

They likely offered them a fee renewal option to keep the rom which was likely way above what Nintendo would be prepared to pay.
