@Uncle_Franklin Yes, it makes a real difference. Only way to play Jet Force Gemini. The problem is the controller is not cheap, but it's been worth it.. (Well for me anyway) I'll admit however, I would quite like a few more titles to release for N64 online to help make it an even better buy..
@DwaynesGames Yes, Super Mario Maker 1, and NES Remix 1&2, I forgot about those two. Also Sonic World, Nintendo Land, Wii Fit U and the countless virtual console titles you could actually buy and keep.
@DonierGunad Me too, I've just picked up the N64 controller. That was mainly for Jet Force Gemini and Banjo Tooie, but it will help for Turok 2 and Shadowman nicely.. 😀
I have ordered it physically for both PS4 and Switch... Looking forward to playing it tomorrow, hopefully.. It seems Sega has finally found the right formula to make Sonic great again.. 👍
@IceEarthGuard As said, it's all in the wording, there are multiple articles stating it's in it's eighth. Many very reputable. So you think as you wish, and I will think as I wish, everyone's happy. There we go.
@IceEarthGuard It's been out 7, but it's in it's 8th year. It's all in the wording. As Gameindustry states and I quote " In the Switch's eighth year". Once it has passed 7, it's "within it's eighth".
@PikminMarioKirby The Switch is still doing well in the UK for sure. If a solid game releases it can still go in at number 1. Not bad for a system in it's 8th year on the market. 😄 It will likely push ahead with solid numbers for the next 2 months as Nintendo performs especially well in the festive season.
F-Zero 99 and some Extreme G on the N64 app. I've just renewed my 1 year + expansion sub, so I'm looking to get my money's worth.. 😆 (Although I did manage to get it heavily discounted)
Hooray - Well I'm more than slightly pleased about this, I was starting to wonder if it would ever arrive. 😀 This is great news. (I just hope the wide-screen is implemented correctly)
@GoldenSunRM Me too, I've played it through 3 times. I even dabbled with the online while it was up. I've probably about 40 hours playtime in total. The graphics and gameplay seemed quite solid to me. I never understood the hate. As you say, a Switch port with slightly updated graphics and tweaked controls would go down nicely.
@Ristar24 Thanks, I think I'll likely pick it up for PS4 over Switch in this instance. It will likely be one of the last new PS4 titles I get around release.
@Ristar24 I did notice the texture issue on the Switch demo. That's good to know it's not on the PS4 version. It sounds like the PS4 might be the way to go. Now just got to find a place that stocks the PS4 version..
I've never played the sequel, although I own it on Wii and digitally on the 360 too. I picked them both up for next to nothing, but still haven't got around to playing them 😅
Exactly, I'll get on and compare both the demos.. 👍
@Ashfan2020 The full game is certainly worth it on my opinion. However, if as you say, you were to wait a while, till after Christmas, you might be able to get it on a discount.
I found the original charming on the Wii, the game mechanics and soundtrack were excellent. The demo for the Switch seemed quite solid for me too. I either get this for Switch physically, or digitally for my Series S. Hmm, decisions....
@Grail_Quest My collection is a bit different. I have a complete N Gage and Gizmondo physical... Worth alot now. I will hopefully find someone to sell these too. 😀
Keep them Reggie. Although at some point I guess we have to all get rid of our collections... (That will be a sad day) 😔 Mine must total above 600 physical across all systems by now... Perhaps 700 carts/disc's..
@Ulysses Many good points, also Nintendo is Nintendo ultimately..This is to say that you never can quite tell which way they will act. Just a week ago I thought there was no chance of a Switch 2 reveal this year. Now though, with these rumours so soon after the partnership direct I'm thinking that there's no smoke without fire... A September reveal may well be on the cards after all. I guess we will see shortly.
@glennthefrog That's my opinion. It would be foolish before the holiday season to say anything. Financially it seems to not make any sense to me. Yet, with all these rumours building up, I'm beginning to think a September announcement may just happen.
Sounds like this will be in the partnership direct then. If they are to release a demo, it seems they are fairly confident it's a good solid port (here's hoping so)
@Clammy Yes, financially revealing a successor before the holiday period when most of your sales are made is just plain wrong. Especially when they may have a considerable inventory of Switches they still wish to sell. However, Nintendo is Nintendo, they often do something a bit unpredictable... You just never know with them.. 😆
@Deev Yes, boring, but predictable. They have about 10 - 12 solid third party games they can talk about (that we know of) in my view. Then announce a few more, they can easily pad out 40 minutes. They may use it as an opportunity to give a few titles screen time that usually wouldn't get it.
@Edu23XWiiU That's my opinion, too. Tomorrow's indie and third party directs will cover everything non first party up until Christmas. Nintendo will then release the odd video for first party Zelda/Mario Party/Mario RPG on it's socials as and when near to their release.
Then, in late Jan 2025, we get a direct announcing the Switch 2.
We won't get any reveal or any info (officially) until 2025 for Switch 2. Nintendo wants one last big Christmas for the Switch.
@johnedwin With the current upcoming games (first and third party) it will still have one last amazing Christmas. Sales will be down, yes, but will also be around 150 million + at this point. Good things come to those who wait, and Switch 2 should be here in 2025.
@Duncanballs Yes, when the Switch still has Zelda, 2x Mario (Party & Luigi), Metroid, Pokemon, and Donkey Kong games still upcoming, it will keep performing well, I'm sure.
@Duncanballs Exactly, PS5 is still doing ok, but is now falling short compared to it's opening years. Xbox has been fumbling sales wise for the past 2+ years. (I have a Series S and enjoy it greatly, but the Xbox brand is currently in a bit of a conundrum, for sure. Meanwhile the Switch just keeps on chugging along...
I remember getting this in 2011 and being completely blown away by it, it had such charm and character. If they can fix the camera and improve the visuals, with the use of Switch gyro it sounds like it could be a must buy. (I have pre-ordered a copy for Switch) fingers crossed.
Civ7 on the Switch is a great reveal and getting Little Nightmares 3 is good too. I don't know why Nintendo (as someone else said) didn't just submit a 10 minute trailer reel of upcoming games for the switch. It still has plenty on the horizon, and would likely have won them the show.
You could include 5 mins first party
Zelda
Mario Party
Mario and Luigi
Metroid 4
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (1 minute on each)
5 Mins
Third Party stuff
FC25 , Sonic, NBA, Civilisation, Little Nightmares 3, Epic Mickey, Fantasy Life, endless RPG'S still to come...
Still plenty in the tank to put together a solid showing, if they wanted.
The fact that Sony had to shift the total shows they know they are gong to be beaten. Literally changing the goalposts after the final whistle scenario..

Re: Reaction: With Xenoblade Chronicles X On Switch, The Wii U's Demise Is Complete
@wazlon Exactly, I would buy them both again on Switch too... Solid games!!
Re: Reaction: With Xenoblade Chronicles X On Switch, The Wii U's Demise Is Complete
@DwaynesGames Yes, Super Mario Maker 1, and NES Remix 1&2, I forgot about those two. Also Sonic World, Nintendo Land, Wii Fit U and the countless virtual console titles you could actually buy and keep.
Re: Reaction: With Xenoblade Chronicles X On Switch, The Wii U's Demise Is Complete
Always still worth having a Wii U.
So, still quite a few exceptions...
And Sonic World and Nintendo Land, which have been mentioned.

Re: Poll: Sonic X Shadow Generations Is Out This Week, Will You Be Getting It?
Need to see some Switch reviews first. It would be daft to buy it before then. However, providing it's good, I will likely pick it up.
Re: F-Zero Climax Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Free Course
@Dirty_Croc I would settle for a F Zero GX HD remaster at this point, it doesn't even have to be a new title. 😃
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (19th October)

Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree Version 1.1.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Metazoxan Thanks, It looks like my best bet out of any to play solo. The better online support helps. I think I might have to get it down the line.
Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree Version 1.1.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
I don't usually go for Mario Party games but am tempted with this after the good review. Do you think its worth buying for the single player alone??
Re: Japanese Charts: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Summons Up Another Win
Very poor PS5 sales, although not under 10k like they were a few weeks back, still very poor indeed.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (5th October)
Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom and F Zero 99. 😃
Re: UK Charts: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Can't Quite Beat The Might Of EA Sports FC 25
@Jiggies Me too. I hope it stays in the chart for a while yet. It's seems to be a solid remaster. I'm picking it up shortly. 👍
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th September)
Zelda Echoes of Wisdom for me, like the rest... It's provimg to be a great game so far. Then I'll pick up Epic Mickey Rebrushed soon..
Re: Japanese Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Surpasses 6 Million Units Sold
Poor PS5 sales, that's for sure, less than 9k both models combined for both sku's, ouch....
Re: Review: Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed (Switch) - A Lick Of Paint Works Wonders
@Ristar24 Thanks, I think I'll likely pick it up for PS4 over Switch in this instance. It will likely be one of the last new PS4 titles I get around release.
Re: UK Charts: Another Quiet Week Underscores The Need For Something New
@Coversnail Yes, I couldn't find last week's number 1 in the chart.... I thought surely it's not out of the top 40 altogether..

A solid collection of third party support for the Switch, plenty already planned for 2025 too.
