Re: Switch Online's "Mature" N64 App Expands With Two More Games

BANJO

@Uncle_Franklin Yes, it makes a real difference. Only way to play Jet Force Gemini. The problem is the controller is not cheap, but it's been worth it.. (Well for me anyway) I'll admit however, I would quite like a few more titles to release for N64 online to help make it an even better buy..

Re: Reaction: With Xenoblade Chronicles X On Switch, The Wii U's Demise Is Complete

BANJO

Always still worth having a Wii U.

  • Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.
  • Yoshi's Woolly World (3DS version is inferior)
  • As mentioned Twilight Princess HD, is the only place to play it officially in HD
  • Same for Wind Waker HD
  • Devils Third (Although hated by many, I really enjoyed it)
  • Star Fox Zero I also thoroughly enjoyed...
  • Paper Mario: Color Splash
  • Art Academy Home Studio (niche title)
  • Affordable Space Adventures
  • Tengami (Console exclusive) although on IOS/PC
  • Super Mario Maker
  • Splatoon
  • NES Remix 1 & 2
  • Game and Wario
  • Virtual Console (countless titles)

So, still quite a few exceptions...

And Sonic World and Nintendo Land, which have been mentioned.

Re: UK Charts: Mario Party Jamboree Rolls A Winner In Its Debut Week

BANJO

@IceEarthGuard As said, it's all in the wording, there are multiple articles stating it's in it's eighth. Many very reputable. So you think as you wish, and I will think as I wish, everyone's happy. There we go.

Re: UK Charts: Mario Party Jamboree Rolls A Winner In Its Debut Week

BANJO

@PikminMarioKirby The Switch is still doing well in the UK for sure. If a solid game releases it can still go in at number 1. Not bad for a system in it's 8th year on the market. 😄
It will likely push ahead with solid numbers for the next 2 months as Nintendo performs especially well in the festive season.

Re: Review: Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed (Switch) - A Lick Of Paint Works Wonders

BANJO

@Ristar24 I did notice the texture issue on the Switch demo. That's good to know it's not on the PS4 version. It sounds like the PS4 might be the way to go. Now just got to find a place that stocks the PS4 version..

I've never played the sequel, although I own it on Wii and digitally on the 360 too. I picked them both up for next to nothing, but still haven't got around to playing them 😅

Exactly, I'll get on and compare both the demos.. 👍

Re: Rumour: 'Industry Whispers' Fuel Speculation Of A Switch 2 Reveal This Month

BANJO

@Ulysses Many good points, also Nintendo is Nintendo ultimately..This is to say that you never can quite tell which way they will act.
Just a week ago I thought there was no chance of a Switch 2 reveal this year.
Now though, with these rumours so soon after the partnership direct I'm thinking that there's no smoke without fire...
A September reveal may well be on the cards after all. I guess we will see shortly.

Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase & Indie World Announced For Tomorrow, August 27th 2024

BANJO

@Edu23XWiiU That's my opinion, too. Tomorrow's indie and third party directs will cover everything non first party up until Christmas. Nintendo will then release the odd video for first party Zelda/Mario Party/Mario RPG on it's socials as and when near to their release.
Then, in late Jan 2025, we get a direct announcing the Switch 2.
We won't get any reveal or any info (officially) until 2025 for Switch 2. Nintendo wants one last big Christmas for the Switch.

Re: Japanese Charts: Powerful Pro Baseball Knocks It Out Of The Park, Again

BANJO

@Duncanballs Exactly, PS5 is still doing ok, but is now falling short compared to it's opening years. Xbox has been fumbling sales wise for the past 2+ years. (I have a Series S and enjoy it greatly, but the Xbox brand is currently in a bit of a conundrum, for sure.
Meanwhile the Switch just keeps on chugging along...

Re: Round Up: Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024 - Every Nintendo Switch Game Reveal & Trailer

BANJO

Civ7 on the Switch is a great reveal and getting Little Nightmares 3 is good too. I don't know why Nintendo (as someone else said) didn't just submit a 10 minute trailer reel of upcoming games for the switch. It still has plenty on the horizon, and would likely have won them the show.
You could include 5 mins first party
Zelda
Mario Party
Mario and Luigi
Metroid 4
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (1 minute on each)

5 Mins
Third Party stuff
FC25 , Sonic, NBA, Civilisation, Little Nightmares 3, Epic Mickey, Fantasy Life, endless RPG'S still to come...
Still plenty in the tank to put together a solid showing, if they wanted.
