I have this game on cartridge, play it on my Retron 5. Savestate when I want. 7/10 is a joke, put the work in this game is stunning.

It's about time Nintendo lifted the lid on the new system. But I'm more excited to see what new games are launching. Hopefully a new fully fledged 3D Mario & Donkey Kong reveal. But I won't hold my breath.

Totally agree, Nintendo's strategy is slowly winning. The other two just keep chasing tech gen after gen. Tech means nothing anymore, also the industry can't sustain the forever growing costs of tech & software. Nintendo play there own game with forever amazing games. Put "gameplay" ahead of anything else.

Having a laugh with this one, for me please F**king stop openworld, soulslike, metroid Vania, roguelike clones. Sick to death of the *****.

I love Nintendo & Sony, but without a doubt the biggest mistake Nintendo made was not giving the Snes the cd add on. The system would of had even more potential.

Looks ok, still nowhere near the charm of the timeless super scalers from Sega.

Definitely getting this, would love the Neo version but the price is to much unfortunately.

This could of been amazing, surely Retro studios or Nintendo have something new on the Donkey Kong front for Switch 2.

Might purchase, its annoying that quality retro titles like this don't get physical releases. Certainly not many unfortunately.

Japanese version has the edge, I'm a sucker for the Jap GBA boxes form factor.

Love metroid other M, loved the whole perspective & use of the wiimote. Would of been great to have had a sequel.

@Danrenfroe2016 yes & no, I just feel that an upgrade to switch would be rather boring. Basically a bigger screen with bigger specs. I have Steam Deck, so basically switch 2 will be basically the same. I personally miss Nintendos innovations with something different to everything else. But I get what your saying.

I was reading yesterday the rumours of a dual screen design. That's what I'm hoping for. Clam style design like DS/3DS would be amazing.

Nintendo need to do something like this, incorporating characters in levels. Imagine a Starfox theme in a Mario game.

When is any l game nowadays not inspired by another. Astrobot is incredible, so is Mario. Mario Galaxy 1&2 are masterpieces of game design.

They are all great, but I just love those Super Famicom boxes. And that art just wins it for me.

I was hoping to see some of their arcade reboots. Like Golden Axe, Streets of Rage.

The Nes is a thing of beauty, be it Lego or the real deal.

It always amazes me how games like this get released. Who the hell play tests them & gives it the green light. Surely as a games tester you would realise something like the aiming or jumping mechanic is crap & not enjoyable.

Meh, not a patch on the amazing Sega games it's trying to emulate. The visuals aren't a patch on the incredible pixel art of Outrun.

That's fair enough, obviously they care about the quality.

Good to see an arcade cab in the pictures, obviously getting inspiration from the classics.

Doesn't hold a candle to the Legendary Super sprint.

Amazing on both really. But the Japanese one takes it.

Abzu should be on PSVR 2 imagine how amazing that would be. That and Child of eden would be brilliant in VR!!

Could of done so much with the original formula. As usual they have to over complicate with some pointless story crap, missions look over complicated as well. This isn't Lunar lander, its just another ruined Atari classic.
