Yes I won't hold out any hope, would personally love to see a new Outrun. But very doubtful, it's mad when you think of the rich back catalogue Sega has. From Outrun to Daytona USA, etc.....
Love the front end with all those incredible cabs!!. Fortunately for me I have an arcade cab with all these games on and more. AVP, Cadallacs and dinosaurs, the list goes on.
@BulbasaurusRex yes I agree the Streets of Rage series is superb. But Final fight 2,3 are still brilliant. With regards to Final fight the original on Snes. Obviously was rushed out for launch, also the meg count on the cart was to small at the time.
Luckily I own the real legacy consoles, the Saturn has some incredible shmups and I have most of em. The likes of Hyper Duel, Blast wind, Radiant silvergun. Battle garegga, Parodius, Darius. The list goes on are all classics on this amazing system.
Can't wait for this, preordered a while back. Soon as I seen the trailer!! Love the comment about playing the Megadrive like its 92. That's me, as well as all the other retro systems from the day:)
@Chunkboi79 yes each to there own, the steam deck is far to expensive for me. Seen one on Ebay over 700 pounds for 64GB model. If it was readily available In UK for a reasonable price than maybe.
@Chunkboi79 I had this debate with someone else, I don't care to be honest I have no interest in the steam deck. I prefer Switch, and will personally wait for the next Nintendo system anyway. Enjoy your Steam deck, but its not for me.
Feel Nintendo's concern, personally don't want the Switch to end. Hopefully Nintendo just need to make the next system a more powerful hybrid. Or I would love to see Nintendo go full on with VR, imagine Mario Galaxy 3 VR !!!
Personally I love it especially the 3rd person view of Samus. And the way it snaps to first person. Just underrated in my opinion. Would Personally like to see metroid 4 using this type of engine. Obviously a bigger world to explore.
Yes this has been on Steam for a few years now, played on my laptop. Will be nice to experience on console. Its very good but still not a patch on the best Japanese shmups. In my opinion!!
Absolutely love the visual style, quality 90s Saturn stuff. Such a change from the typical clean flash game visuals, which lack that certain charm most of the time.
Luckily have the original on my Saturn, fantastic game. Play it regularly, along with hyper duel another Technosoft classic. And the Saturn version is superior to the arcade.
Luckily i own a lot of retro games and systems, I will keep collecting until I'm six feet under. But there definitely needs some sort of proper preservation for the industry we love. Also thank God for Mame without it most amazing arcade games would be lost forever.
The Legendary Konami of old no longer exists unfortunately. Its hard to believe its the same company. Unbelievable when you consider the incredible franchises they refuse to reanimate.
When Video game magazines were exciting, full of passion. The days when you couldn't wait for the next months issue. Unfortunately most magazines are soulless over priced rubbish now. Also with the Internet, gaming news is at your fingertips. Still can't beat a good mag though.
With regards to being over 80s racers, I will never be over them. I'm a diehard retro gamer. Personally I get fed up with these imitation games trying to be all retro. Some nail it most don't, what really needs to happen is for Sega to convert all it 80s and 90s racers to Switch then we will truly experience the golden era of arcade racing.
