Oh damn, happy almost bday to me

Most desired Switch 2 feature of backward compatibility with both psychical and digital purposes. it's 99% of a deal breaker for me.
I'll probably buy S2 regardless but without this function I'll be very unhappy about it.

Another Crab's Treasure is a great beginner Souls like for the sole reason of having accessibility options. You can turn down damage or increase yours, or, if the boss is too hard, just 1 shot them with a massive gun.

are they finally making good on the 3000 year old war that was a bg part of the game but went nowhere really.

Based on the above, I don’t think it’s the fact it’s a Pokemon like, they’re looking into whether actual assets from Pokemon games are used.
You can make a playformer like Mario but if you slap actual Goombas in it then that’s not allowed

So I should buy it now before it’s gone?

I'd like it to be on Steam, until Nintendo confirm whether Switch 2 is backwards compatible I'm not buying on Switch anymore

Ad a kid I could never beat the final boss as I relied entirely on power and summons. As a grown up with 25 years worth of Pokemon experience, I learnt the benefit of status moves and a few years ago came back and slaughtered that beast!

@Greatluigi personally, i don't think he did this intentionally, his family perhaps, but not him. I reckon he's just an absolute ***** who never bothered to look into it properly and ignorantly blundered his way into charity fraud. But either way, yeah he's done.

@NotoriousWhiz fair enough. I may wait for a pre-owned. I recently itemised my backlog across switch and steam and it’s over 200 games so I think this might have caused me to reign it in a bit

@LikelySatan how? I confused this with N64 paper Mario. I’m not paying full price for a SNES remake but if still feel unwilling if it was N64 as well

I want to play this game but I'm not spending more than £30 to do so. If Metroid Prime remastered was £30 why is this more? I get it's a remake not remaster but still, it's an N64 game

Even if they reverse this decision, if an alternate engine is like "hey, here's an approximation of Unity and we won't ever do something as crappy as that" then developers will also flock to that. Trust in Unity will be gone.

Although, it's hard to walk something like this back when you've shot your own feet to smithereens...

I'm also hoping for Prime 2: Echoes shadow drop. Maybe next direct will have 3 announced ready for Switch 2 to have Prime 4 as a launch title

I didn’t need DLC. There’s more game here than I’ll end up playing. I loved my time but I’ve moved on.
I’d rather they started working on another game. Perhaps a top down style please

If the next console isn’t handled I’ll be so disappointed.

I’d be ok with a rolling/alternating Zelda form. Give me a top down 2.5D, a 3D OoT style adventure, and a BoTW big beast

@sleepinglion for me the convenience of off tv play trumps it every time so if given the choice is switch over PS5, however I now have the Steamdeck so it’s now a choice between switch and SD.
Due to anxiety about games libraries not carrying over to the switch successor I’m now favouriting SD as a priority.

Never have cared and never will care about 60fps or 4k etc. 30 is fine by me. I’ll be playing 99% handheld in my OLED so no issues for me.

@Arminillo this type of puzzle of pressing every square only once has been in several games I’ve played since. I always do it first time as this puzzle on Pokémon seared it into my brain

Zelda Skyward Sword back on Wii. On the way to the second dungeon, just made it to the second area - whatever the volcanic region was.
I was literally just tutorialed what to do but for some reason I forgot I could roll bombs like bowling balls so I couldn’t for the life of my pass a simple bridge thing. Spent about an hour there getting frustrated.
I think I accidentally did it with the Wii motion but I may be imagining that now ha

I’m so anxious about switch successor and how it will be handled that this is the first game I’ve ‘future proofed’ and bourbon SD instead of Switch. I need to know if the next console will let you migrate your library/backwards compat
