@CodyMKW I mean there is. Cyclists and NPCs just appearing and disappearing as you swivel the camera, horrendous frame rate.
Also I have virgin media so my internet is garbage yes ha

@Zeuseksy yeah it was more a comment on how lazy and embarrassing that game was.
I've never had issues with my switch until then. BoTW ran perfect at launch. Over 3 and a half years later we get this mess

Maybe the wild areas in Pokemon won't be such a garbage dump on this...

How about some news of any kind about upcoming switch games? The only first party Nintendo games this year so far is Animal Crossing. What else? There's 10-11 more months without releases.

Some people live in rural areas where phone signal is an issue, let alone good internet.
Cloud based or streaming is only good if the entire world is coated in strong internet.

However, I literally don't know what's upcoming for the Switch in way of First party, Nintendo games aside from Animal Crossing and that FE game I have no interest in.
Maybe a full Direct soon as well to accompany to give us something else to look forward to for next year?

Backlogs are large alla round - just jump back in and have a run around - you'll love it

@quinnyboy58 nice. I just need to time to properly dive in and with Luigis Mansion, Pokemon, and AC on the horizon I can't yet.
I got distracted midway through Golf Story and now i'm not fussed about going back in. It's why I don't want to start Stardew valley yet.

I have Wargroove but it's part of my backlog. I'll get there eventually.

@quinnyboy58 yeah sounds good. I was really looking forward to FE:3H but I know me and I know how I like games and I immediately knew that the school part would not be enjoyable for me. It did cause me to go out and pick up FE Awakening again and I enjoyed the heck out of that again!

@quinnyboy58 I don't fully know. I know a lot of people enjoyed the school bit but I wanted fire emblem for the turn based tactical battling like on 3ds and GBA etc
A lot of JRPGs lose me when there's a lot of stuff like that. Just my personal preference really.

Leaving work at 1pm to head to Game to pick up my Steelbook of Sword. Then home to hibernate for the weekend.

All I want to know is how soon into the game I can start breeding

I didn't care for the longest time, it's only in the past few weeks that I've started getting excited for this game.
The Pokédex thing annoyed me, and continues to do so. I will only be OK with it's exclusion if the game is pushing the switch to the limit (which I doubt) or the models are vast;y different from 3DS. If it's juts that they couldn't be bothered to upscale all of them for this game where they easily could have then i'll be annoyed. Just pay for another programmer or 2 - this game will print money.
That being said. I have booked a half day this friday from work to get stuck in. And if this game blows then i'll get The Witcher.

If it's released before AC I may get it. If it's released after AC then I shall not. BoTW 2 could release the week after AC and I wouldn't be playing it on release.

My problem is that knowing everything made me lose interest in Gen 7 almost immediately. I knew all the evolutions, the regional variants, the whole ‘dex essentially. Plus the map, the bad guys, almost everything. There was no surprise. I’m trying hard to avoid this with gen 8 to give it a fighting chance.

How have Nintendo managed to underestimate the demand? Do they not know how popular it would be!?

If not, then everybody grab a broom, it's shenanigans!!

I'm getting Sword as I feel the legendary looks (marginally) better. They're both horrid looking.

Nope. Don't care about mobile games (except Pokemon go) as I feel they're a crappy imitation of video games and I worry about parents giving their kids an iPad and some cruddy mobile game instead of actual video games.

@Lute-Waffle i'm trying so hard to not know too much info about this game. I went into Gen 7 knowing everything about it, all additions, all new Pokemon, all regional variants and it meant there was nothing to discover and I got bored immediately.
I'm already not very invested in this Gen so I need to ensure as much mystery as possible.

This issue really annoys me. As someone who likes to complete the living 'dex this is the reason I probably won't bother with Pokemon Home (based on current information of it) and stick with my living 'dex on Bank.

That being said; despite my minimal interest in this gen overall, i'll still buy it thus being a hypocrite who's part of the problem...

It's basically like "hey the 2DS doesn't actually have capacity for 3D on it's board". Wasn't this the point of the Switch Lite?
