How much worse must an early version of this game be?

The way I see it is anyone will be able to get it, just as a normal game, until March when Nintendo stop selling them.
I remember thinking Pokemon steel books would add resell value...

At this point I believe the leaks are just Nintendo saving money on marketing. Put a big campaign together that cost millions or have sites like this do it for free ha

I really liked this game - had it's flaws but I foud it very enjoyable.
My Girlfriend got bored of the battling mechanic by the Earth Vellumental and gave up.

There must be a big holiday title out there. They need to have one, and if they didn't then they would have pushed Pikmin.

Maybe, they would have announced the Mario remakes, but as these rumours regularly flood the internet Nintendo don't feel the need to spend the marketing budget as it's already being done for free... ?

@LilMuku whereas I get your point about ports. The Wii U had an install base of about 12 million and the Switch has sold, according to google, 62 million.
Wii U ports may be old games for us Wii U owners, but as they’re great games they’re potentially brand new games for up to 50 million people to enjoy

Just a comment of the Switches huge new install base making a lot of Nintendo IPs new to people and a bit of my sourness that up until they point we had basically nothing confirmed

@Nemesis666 mate. I have the game and I really like it. More of a comment of an install base with a lot of people who will be new to series and the fact I’m sour that we don’t know what’s coming.

@MrBlacky the Switch's install base is definitely why. The game is good, i'm really enjoying it at least. But there was a lot of apprehension based on previous releases but also as many Switch owners won't have played a Paper Mario on Wii U or 3DS this might be an entirely new IP.
I threw in the nothing on the horizon because i'm sour but if the Switch was as popular as Wii U the release would have also been similar

I guess big install base + no other games on the horizon = good launch

Bought on sale but haven't played it yet. I'm waiting for a gap when I can dive in. But given my preference for large open world games I feel it'll be some time before I can commit

It's even worse than that: i've bought ACNH once - so i'm 1 person on this statistic
i've bought every metroid game GBA/GC onwards (except federation force) so i'm like 10 people on that statistic

I shall remove this from my 'games to rebuy on eBay and replay' wishlist for now.

I'm actually really enjoying it. The only issue I would have had was the battling being pointless but the puzzles often add a difficulty that overrides that. I avoid battles where I can but i'm not annoyed when i'm in them. Some of the ring puzzles stump and annoy me because I can't do them!

If this years games are unaffected then please tell us what they are.

Mine was delivered an hour ago. But I’m away until Monday so I’ll have to wait.

Sword and Shield was the last Pokemon game I will simply buy just because.
I feel this will do the same for Paper Mario.
