I love animal crossing but im a compleatest I try to get 100% in every game and its hard to do that with 4 AC games and all the others I have I wish I could Play 3 games at once.

|sf>I just noticed that the second picture shows a bench and a street lamp in the backdrop while the human stands outdoors. I wonder if those are randomly placed objects or if they're movable, ala purchased at Nook's or Red's shop. Considering how long the other games in the series took to reach North America, I suspect that this title won't be out in time for the machine's launch.

If they spice up this game and do some different things then fish, catch bugs, decorate your house, and pay off your house then i would be sold on buying this game.

Its funny how Nintendo has made animal crossing on Gamecube (even though it was originally an N64 design) Nintendo DS, and Wii... And yet the 3DS version looks by far the best! XD
Anyways, I really hope Nintendo will re-add some classic games in there, like NES or SNES games. Its been missing for far too long.

i never got the chance to play any of these games so i can wait to try this one, i remember watching a friend play the first animal crossing for the game cube and i liked how you could get an NES for your house in the game and play classic games like mach rider ect so i hope that carries over to the 3DS game

I really hope they spice it up since I quickly lost interest in the game with almost nothing happening the whole time. But I don't like how the character looks. They need to be short and cute! ^^

What i'm not gonna like about this game is that if i forget to save resetti will pop out of the screen (nightmares)

Wow! I love animal crossing I bought all of the games and my favorite was Wild World because I could bring my town anywhere, i'm gonna get it launch day, but why does Boy and Girl look so weird and creepy THEY NEED TO LOOK LIKE CARTOONS

I'd take the gamestop date with a grain of salt. According to many things i read on the internet, you can't trust gamestop for official release dates. On almost all websites i've read, the release date for AC:3DS is still TBA. To be announced. But AC:3DS should be in our hands by early 2012 for sure. Winter holidays, maybe. Fall, perhaps, but unlikely. August, unfortunately, most likely not. But the wait won't be too long now. Besides patience is a virtue. All good things to those who wait

I'm really excited for this new game. The only disappointment is that its going to be on 3ds. I REALLY dont like the DS for games, im more like a wii person, but i'll buy it anyways xD

Yeah I think that. I was watching an E3 clip and they said they don't even have the release date even though they have a release date for super mario 3d and mario kart. O_o But they did say it is coming out before 2012 so i'll keep my fingers crossed. But you are right most people don't trust gamestop and I've seen some huge delays with their timing.

I had wild world but that game was broken and I didn't feel like getting a new one since I came so far and didn't wanna do it all over again so now I only still have Animal Crossing Clock and Calculator and an Animal Crossing CD from club nintendo. I also have SSBB with of cource an Animal Crossing stage but yeah, I don't have any real Animal Crossing games now so I really can't wait to get this one

Things I'd like to see in this game:
New furniture, fertilizer to restore the grass, maybe offered in regular-silver-and gold for varying degrees of effectiveness. Patterns not limited to palettes or less limited. More Pattern pocket storage so you can put down in town and store more. Each room has it's own storage compartments for dressers so upgrades gets you more storage. Mail storage with labels. Townies can wear hats. I could go on but I'll stop there. How many of these things do you think they've included in the new game?

I would love if they had a City lobby of some sort. So instead of searching the internet to exchange friend codes you could easily meet someone in an online lobby! Pretty much easier internet use

I've never even played Animal Crossing, didn't realize how much of a hype it had. I have to try this one out on my 3DS.

Well, AC (Animal Crossing) didn't come at the beginning of this month. I think GameStop is just making wrong guesses. I looked at a release date sheet in there last month, and AC's (US) release date was sometime around Christmas and Thanksgiving. Don't get your hopes up, though. I think this game will get a 2012 release.

@Shadow100: You should get an AC game! They're a lot of fun and laid-back when you want something like that. You see, AC games are a lot like real life. You have a house and can decorate it with furniture, you can talk to your neighbors (who are animals) you can listen to the musician K.K. Slider (a dog) and get CDs from him to play in stereos, there's a whole lot more to explain, and I can't explain it all. I'd recommend getting AC:CF (Animal Crossing: City Folk) for the Wii. It's got a few new features that weren't in the other two (Animal Crossing: Wild World for DS and Animal Crossing for Gamecube, not 3DS). It also has Wi-Fi, which you can use to visit other towns that other people from around the world live in. You just give them your AC:CF Friend Code, and they give you theirs and you can travel through the Town Gate to get to their town (note that this was in Wild Word, too). Anyway, check out some videos and see what you think of each AC game. I hope you like the AC series!

I'm kinda sad that it's not coming out sooner rather than later but i hope the developers don't get lazy with the structure of the game like in acww (Wild World) Not that i didn't like the previous versions, it's just that i think that they dont have enough to do. You just end up doing the same thing every day, like selling fruit. That's why I hope they put in more holidays or mabye even an island area where you can find special fruit and fossils. Also, I hope they add another tool to the game or make the town bigger or at least add another store. Perhaps a prize store...

I always wished that that you could dig up the parts to a go cart or something and put it together and run around scarying the neighbors then maybe upgrade to other vehicles

Actually, I went to GameStop today and they said that this and Luigi's Mansion 2 would come out on May 2. They have been wrong before so I hope they're wrong again and AC3DS and LM2 comes out earlier [LM2 probably will, but I'm not sure about AC3DS]

No, it was never announced for release — AC has never launched with a Nintendo console. Good things come to those who wait!

Bugs are definitely in — there's an early video showing a new slow-walk move when sneaking up on bugs — so they'll be on trees I'm sure

This game looks amazing! I can't wait! There are definately some new features! Apparently There is a shopping mall and a train station, the map shows the town is as big as ever, so there's loads to do. I hope there's more hairstyles! Some people don't like the new bodies but i think it has a teenager vibe. So excited! hope it gets released soon!! x

I have high hopes it won't and I'm sure you'll be able to transfer your character from the Wii version to 3DS if a new channel is created or on the game some how...

i'm not sure cuz they hav cahnged the shape of the characters bodies and stuff.

I'm pretty sure the Official Nintendo Magazine [Europe's Nintendo Magazine] said it would come this summer. So that would mean May - September 2012 for all regions.

I've been playing animal crossing since the gamecube hopefully this game will have more features than cityfolk had since the only real thing that changed in cityfolk was not sharing a house and going to the city.

There are loads of new features in this game the ones that i can think of now are:
-Clothes girls now have the option of top, bottoms or dress
-You can style the outside of your house
-You are now the mayor
-More interactive with charaters
-The town is much bigger with more features (look on youtube for a map) like a cafe and a massive beach
-You can swim
-You can customise your own furniture
and many more i can't think of right now

Well I gave in and just ordered AC: City Folk for Wii on Amazon.ca. It will let me learn what an AC game is and keep me busy till the 3DS one is out. I hope they make an announcement for this at E3.

I have 3DS games with great graphics like RE: Revelation, Mario Land 3D and Mario Kart 7 but this one seems so colorfull and pretty in it's own way that you just want to dive right in!

I don't know if it's true or not but I saw on Youtube a video that showed a translation of the video that most people have downloaded to their 3DS systems and it looked like you could put your house wherever you wanted and you could build other buildings in the town while you are Mayor. Like I said, I have no idea if it is true or if someone was just playing around but it's another feature to (MAYBE) look forward to

It's been killing me ever since I heard about it! Some say for the US it was supposed to come out on May 2nd, but it did not. Others say this summer, or next spring, but we will have to wait and see. But like many others I believe it will come out this fall, because past ANIMAL CROSSING games have all been released in the fall. Also it will be ANIMAL CROSSING's 10th year anniversary, so why not.
