Re: Nintendo Alarmo Update Adds Multiple Highly-Requested Features

@dkxcalibur Honestly I'm surprised they haven't added some sort of "leaderboard" or something like that. Something that you can compare with your friends!

"Oh man I just got a solid 6 hour stretch of sleep!"
"Yeah well I just got my all time high score of 9 hours uninterrupted! Beat that Scott!"

I'm not saying it's something we want, but I darn well know of a handful of people who'd talk like that haha

Re: Poll: Is $60 Too Much For Nintendo's Switch Re-Releases?

xDeckardx

I personally believe it depends on the title itself and what they did behind the scenes to get it to the console!

Something like Metroid Prime RM I was happy to spend the $40 on, but if they were charging the usual $70 for it I'd have passed on it. Much like the Pikmin 1&2 re-release. I don't see much point in paying $65 for a two pack of games that seems like they just straight ported to the Switch with little to no improvements.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door?

@Ironcore I haven't noticed anything that bad with this particular one, but I did notice a few instances where it almost appeared as though there was another character silhouette surrounding Goombella, which kinda gave it a blurry or "glitchy" effect. Not sure if it was intended to be there or anything. But I did notice it. To the point where I had to put down my Switch for a few minutes to let my eyes stop hurting.

And that was like near the beginning of the game when you first met Goombella (or whatever their name is), but I haven't experienced it since.

Re: Best Cozy Games On Switch

@CarSickKitty I'm with you!
I LOVE Stardew, but it is FAR from a cozy game! I am always stressing out wondering if I've gotten everything for the Community Center and constantly forgetting to gift to the villagers.

Amazingly fun game, but by no means is it as relaxing as some claim it to be haha
Though maybe it's a bit more relaxing in multiplayer where you have another player able to give you a hand?

As much as I absolutely LOVED Unpacking, I couldn't help but wish there was more to it!
I plowed through it in basically two sittings loving every minute with it. I would gladly pay for more stories/levels in Unpacking

Like I was kinda expecting that the last level of the game would see you "packing" away the belongings of the unseen person (ie with them having passed away)

Either way such a stupidly entertaining game

Just don't forget that there's the whole "dark star" mode as well!

@Anti-Matter Amen my friend!

Sure their games aren't the "best of the best" but as entry level games for kids they are perfectly playable games! Me and my son have spent many a countless hour playing through their games together. And I don't know about anyone else, but being able to spend that time with him is more valuable to me than some nonsensical quandary such as who developed the game we're playing together

Re: Minecraft Legends Development Ends As Final Update Launches

xDeckardx

I honestly kinda forgot about this game...
After how kinda broken it was at launch I never really bothered jumping back in after some of the updates. Did they ever fix some of the issues with your minions just yeeting themselves off of cliffs, getting lost, just standing up doing nothing while you fought for your life, etc?

Re: Square Enix Asks Fans To Consider Dragon Quest Monsters eShop Version After Physical Release Sells Out

@Teksetter Oh I know 100% what you mean!
Hell it seems that even my local Wal Marts don't even get stock on newer games anymore...
Up until like a year ago I found Wal Mart was the place to go to get the more interesting third party games that Gamestop would only carry a single copy of (stuff like Starbase Startopia or whatever it was called), but the last year I've noticed them carrying less and less games. To the point where they reduced the size of our video game sections drastically and barely even bring in copies of first party games (Switch, Playstation, and Xbox included)

It's a sad world we're living in when we push physical media/collecting to the wayside. And I say this as a hardcore Bluray/DVD collector lol

Re: Square Enix Asks Fans To Consider Dragon Quest Monsters eShop Version After Physical Release Sells Out

Needless to say I'm pumped I was able to procure myself a physical copy! When I did

Random question
Does anyone else's local game retailers just seem to never stock any new games anymore? Like in my little tiny province in Canada our local Gamestops rarely ever order in extra copies of newer games and only bring in the preorders for them. Is this an issue that's global or is it just poor management on their end here? Basically if it isn't a first party Switch game you aren't getting it locally here unless you preordered it months in advance (which I try not to do in case the game is a broken POS. So happy I held off preordering the Kong Skull Island game haha)
