I never could get into this series. Weird, I know.

A new Xenoblade game was my summer game show wish. It looks my wish came true but looking at what I got I feel like I'm going to need some actual game footage. No way they'd remove the battle mechanics that is the staple of the games. Right? Right???

I know I'm a slow player. I usually double or triple any of these average play through times. I have to explore every nook and cranny.

I'd like to see cheaper prices

@Zeeba Amazon seems to be doing okay. The AI bad stuff is getting tiresome. AI, in anything, can be bad. We see it everyday but this notion it is inherently bad is ridiculous.

The "pearl clutching" over AI generated media is getting a little cringey. I think as long as it's tagged as such, it's a little tiresome to keep hearing "AI bad!".

I keep getting vibes that gaming may be in trouble. Production companies firing staff. Risks are few and far between. The time between sequels are getting longer. Economy facts: like run away inflation and discretionary spending inevitably feeling the brunt of that.

@FrylockJ And Linkedin. That place makes me want to hurl. It was great at first and a good way to connect with past colleagues. Now it's full of people trying to explain all the life knowledge they've gained in their vast 5 years of adulting. Like Facebook once old people discovered it.

That's the right move. Now hoping the game itself isn't terrible. No amount of optimization would solve that problem

Most critics grade on things that aren't very important to me. I think the most fun I've had with movies are ones with low critic scores and high audience scores. I'll take that over the opposite any day of the week.

I give it bonus points for being a new high production value IP. It's almost rare these days but you can see how much people are starving for something that isn't a remake or the 29th installment in a long running series. It almost takes a company with Capcom's resources to take that risk, though

From what I'm hearing, it's a very short game. Which might be good for some people, but I don't know if I can justify retail for a game I can finish over a weekend. I'm going to play it but don't think I'll be throwing out 6 bills for it

@SillyG IF I had one complaint about MH Stories 3, it's this. DLC, and season passes are fine, you don't have to buy them, but locking a side story of a major character behind a paid DLC seems a bridge too far.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. The game is amazing.

Over hyping a game before launch is as bad as seeing flaws before a launch. One side of that got us Crimson Desert and the other never saw Pokopia coming.

@Jhon_Moreira Got to stay edgy. I don't think they are going to win this GKC battle. Not if a vast majority of average homes that buy and play games have zero idea, or care, what a game key card is.

@Rhaoulos She looks like a witch on the PS5 Pro. Can't spoil it because I've only played 45 minutes of it, but the captive girl in basement, looks a lot like her.

I feel like any desire to buy this would stem from nostalgia. Just like nostalgia, you rarely get that original feeling of the first-hand experience you are recalling.

I'm hoping for something significant but I'm more likely to get "meh"

@Bizzyb I hope that is what is going on. Never seen this bad of a reception to ANY Yakuza game. I even opted for my monthly game purchase to be DQ VII reimagined because all of the bad publicity on this game. Regardless, I'll pick it up, just not this month

Too niche for anything less than bargain bin

@Mabelissimo I was so disappointed that MKW didn't have a proper story mode. I've missed that aspect ever since Diddy Kong racing. Granted it has an exploration mode but one that I consider, under-baked

Still waiting for a mainline Mario game on Switch 2. When I bought the Switch 2, I didn't know the 2 meant now you'll now be able to play Switch 1 games on 2 consoles. Pretty crazy to release a new console with no mainline Zelda or Mario.

First half of 2026 is almost too stacked. It's a good problem to have, though

Awesome. Switch 2 will continue to thrive off games from years ago. We are so blessed.
