I'm going to put myself in the cautiously optimistic category, for this one, and if it is a great game I am definitely going to buy it on a more powerful console.

@blindsquarel Yes. This is 99% going to be a generational warfare conversation. Can't tell you the fun I had with Atari and Colecovision but expecting that to be rated high on this poll, is slightly demented.

From what I saw, this game is a step in the right direction. Not enough yet, to get me to pay AAA prices, but definitely the way the series should move forward and I will probably pick it up at some point.

One of the few times in modern times a preorder paid off for me. Had it preordered for $59 for the past year on Amazon.

Hmmm... the reviews of the remake seem to be good on this site and sister sites but others are less than stellar.

I guess I'm alone when I say I'm over the "remaster everything" phase. Yes, it's a joy when done correctly but I'd prefer new version of the same IP, or a real far-fetched idea, new IPs all together.

You can save even MORE money by not buying it. It's a huge game to begin with, I already put triple digit hours into it, beat it, and I don't have the energy to go back to play DLC.

I'd pay $80 if it had traditional Zelda dungeons..

Got some heavy Hogwarts Legacy vibes there from pic and video but not sure if it's just because the engines of games are being so re-used these days.

@Jey887 I tried the first and got bored. I know I'm in the minority here but just couldn't get into it, and love RPGs. Think it's the segregated stories that couldn't keep my attention.

@WolfyTn I'm 50 and am really enjoying Hogwarts Legacy. Is there really any such thing as an adult game? (Minus NSFW stuff.) If you enjoy games, play the ones you like. Having said that, I haven't played the one in this article but seeing so much news about it has piqued my interest.

Hogwarts Legacy really is a great game. I don't know how it's going to look on the Switch but it's absolutely gorgeous on the PS5. Definitely looking like a GOTY contender.

If you asked me on the spot to guess how many Star Fox games were made, I would have never guessed over 5. Crazy hearing of all these different versions.

Their headline IPs seem to shine brightly around hardware revisions then it's just a slow drag until the next one. I guess if they were like COD and were on version 20, or whatever, it might get tiring as well. No better meal than the one you eat when your famished.

Yeah, definitely wait until it calms down some. Really love the way they create a problem and then try to up-sell you to have a fast way to get around the problem they've created. Pure capitalist brilliance!

They'll need to do something. I'd like to go, but if I did, I can't imagine wanting to go back again and again. Just like video games, it's going to need some replay-ability, or it will be short lived.

@Serpenterror Makes you wonder if some game sites decide who is going to review a game not by the genre but some arbitrary non-game factor or maybe pin the tail on the donkey? You can almost tell when a reviewer isn't a fan of the genre they are reviewing. It would be like me not being a fan of FPS and reviewing Call of Duty 20.

This kind of article just makes me miss traditional Zelda games more. You don't have to twist my arm to buy and play BOTW2 (I refuse to call it anything else unless they prove it's not more of the same) but I really long for a traditional dungeon with keys to doors, compass, maps, and traditional bosses. Don't make me beg!

You don't have to pay that price if you preordered, but if this has breakable weapons or doesn't have traditional dungeons, I'm just gonna wait. Or I'll play it on my Steam Deck.

Full disclosure: I'm going to buy this, most people who are fans are going to buy this, but the more I see the less excited I get. Seems like they took all of the praise from BOTW and ignored any of the criticism. I want traditional dungeons and take your breakable weapons and shove them where the sun doesn't shine. I might be wrong that they veered away from that, but I haven't seen any proof to change my mind. It's almost not Zelda without, and after BOTW came out, most of this has been replicated in other games plenty already. Especially the plethora of freemium cross-platform RPG games that mimicked this style. Definitely, gonna buy it and they know it, but I'm hoping this is the last of its kind. I won't be onboard with BOTW3, or whatever they wind up calling it 7 years from now, if it's not. Bring back a real Zelda game with keys, dungeon maps, compass, boss, etc.

I was hoping for a game like this to come around and maybe, just maybe, we can finally decide we have "jumped the shark" on video game remakes. Let's close this chapter of video game history....Please!!

Based on that artwork we are back to quasi-dungeons... sigh

@1UP_MARIO I haven't purchased a limited edition game that I can recall, ever, and I've played 100s of games in the decades I've been gaming. Think that's more of a niche than you think.

The Link on the picture for this article has to be the worst artistry work of Link I've ever seen. Looks like a mix between Planet of the Apes and Cats the Broadway musical.

Trying to decide whether I get Fire Emblem or Hogwarts this month? Hogwarts has great reviews, minus the (somewhat understandable) social issues' skewed reviews. Decisions. Decisions.

Gonna be a crazy amount of pirating in two days. Why they don't release the same day everywhere is beyond me. Guess it makes too much sense.
