@Aiwen About 30 hours, plays a lot like Ys series, even though I've played a lot of the TLOH: Trails series. I love this game but weird they don't utilize better graphics. I'm playing it on PC and even with everything maxed out, it blazes so fast you wonder why not just use a better engine?

They showed Link in the beginning of the reveal. It may just be as simple as that. Him fighting through the first stage only to be captured.

Dunno about this. So much technology and tolls these days. Gonna go retro, at least make it look better than that. That's very hard to look at.

Companies have to defend their IP almost to a ridiculous nature because if they set any precedent of allowing inappropriate use, it makes every case they bring after that harder to defend. This is why you see them bring C&Ds against items you probably wouldn't expect.

Wasn't worried. I get why some people might be worried but good luck trying to prevent it from happening. I'm sure hand-drawn animated artists felt the same way when computers first came along. It's happening, whether we want it to, or not.

Comment section never disappoints. I love to read these when I think I'm having a bad day, then realizing someone probably lives with this person.

I'm going to be in the minority here and say it looks like something that may be over-hype and will wind up with a 7 review. Flame away.

The thing with these editions is even if I bought it, I wouldn’t have the gonads to open it up and allow it to be used. Too gorgeous to use and almost too much to put on a shelf. Gonna be a scalpers dream, though, especially if they are extremely limited.

I spent about 6 hours in the original, put it down and never came back. Not sure if I’m giving it a second chance but that’s just my personal experience

@RainbowGazelle Yeah, I kept skimming the article to read why it wasn't JUST a high-def upgrade, but all I read was it was a high-def upgrade. Feel free to humiliate me and quote the part that shows where I'm wrong. I can take it.

@Joeynator3000 I can give you two guesses why they made that rule and if you care about the supposed controversy about certain characters in TTYD, you'd know. I don't. It's a game. Nothing more. People just look for controversy these days and if they can't find it, they make it up.

@PikminMarioKirby I think that's pretty much true of the gaming industry in general right now. A lot of dark clouds out there. Hopefully Nintendo Switch successor brightens things up but they have a history doing something really good and following it up with something not so good.

For the love of all of the holy game gods, let this next generation have more new IPs and iterations than retrogrades, repaints, and remakes.

I'll be playing it but what would have been better was a new one. I hope this generation of consoles is the end of the remake, remade, retrograde fad....

I may be in the minority but found it bland and boring

To me, there is no cheaper version of therapy, than gaming. I'd literally be in some type of institution, padded or barred, if I didn't have this outlet. Sounds extreme but it's one of my few guilty pleasures.

I'm getting a little long in the tooth but still enjoy gaming. The moment a console locks us into 100% digital, I'm going to bow out gracefully, at least from that platform, for sure. PC is already there but I don't see me buying a console that's digital only. Whether you prefer digital or physical, having choices almost always helps consumers.

With all the gaming news in the past half a year, or so, I'm really worried that we are staring down the barrel of one of the biggest gaming crisis since the 1980s. Things are definitely a lot different these days, than they were then, and I really hope I'm completely wrong, but I think a lot of the tell-tale signs are there. One things for sure, I highly doubt the next few years will be looked back at with any type of nostalgia.

Never played it but that game looks really immersive for it's era. This is the kind of stuff I wish they'd remake or upgrade. Not something I wore out the cartridge pins playing before.

@Bratwurst35 Tired of the culture war myself, but it beats the heck out of an actual war. (Let's don't do that again.) While I don't agree with a lot of stuff going on, I don't dislike anyone enough to get up before the crack of dawn and lace up my boots.

Actually kind of weird they didn't put that effort into Dig 3. Dig has to have sold more copies than Heist.

Nintendo acts on something that's been in the wild for years, just as the console is sunsetting. Their timing is hilarious.

@TruthisRare Humor is being shadow banned. The only thing you CAN joke about is something nobody finds funny, and even that's probably offensive. They are just keeping with the times.

That statement leaves out the fact that the hardware the original ran on is over two decades ago. I'm not debating the merits of the frames per second, but don't try and sugarcoat it. That just sounds ridiculous.

Same, but literal driving puts me squarely in the mentally disturbed bracket. I have such a hard time dealing with the other idiots on the road and have to keep reminding myself that if you wake up and think everyone you meet is an *****, you just might the *****. If I won the lottery the very first thing I'd do is hire someone to drive me everywhere I go. And before someone says bus, I'm not in a place where that's a viable option, and I don't do well with crowds.

These upgrades seem like the last milking of the teat of the current Nintendo generation. While welcomed, and I plan on playing them, how cool would it have been to get a new proper Paper Mario and Luigi's mansion during the swan song of Switch 1? We got two Zeldas but only one of these each. So sad...

Whole reason I avoid rogue games... If I wanted to be stressed I'd avoid games while I work instead of avoiding work while playing games.

I wasn't on the gaming doomsday wagon, until now. Starting to look like we got a long drought in front of us and that's not a direct comment on the indie landscape.
