Re: Poll: Are You Bothered By The Frame Rate For Paper Mario: TTYD On Switch?

"given the significant leap in visual quality from the original to the remake, we can also understand why certain sacrifices had to be made"

That statement leaves out the fact that the hardware the original ran on is over two decades ago. I'm not debating the merits of the frames per second, but don't try and sugarcoat it. That just sounds ridiculous.

Re: Soapbox: During A Mental Health Crisis, It Wasn't Cosy Games That Helped

Same, but literal driving puts me squarely in the mentally disturbed bracket. I have such a hard time dealing with the other idiots on the road and have to keep reminding myself that if you wake up and think everyone you meet is an *****, you just might the *****. If I won the lottery the very first thing I'd do is hire someone to drive me everywhere I go. And before someone says bus, I'm not in a place where that's a viable option, and I don't do well with crowds.

Re: Where To Pre-Order Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD On Switch

These upgrades seem like the last milking of the teat of the current Nintendo generation. While welcomed, and I plan on playing them, how cool would it have been to get a new proper Paper Mario and Luigi's mansion during the swan song of Switch 1? We got two Zeldas but only one of these each. So sad...

@Rykdrew I have high hopes that this game will be fun and entertaining, but definitely niche and can't disagree that it will probably join the bargain bin very fast. I'm just waiting for the inevitable Hollywood-esque blame the audience, if it fails. You certainly won't be able to blame the marketing team. Pretty sure everyone, even non-gamers, has seen it advertised, by this point.

Re: Nintendo Sets Its Sights On Switch Emulator Yuzu In New Lawsuit

Wonder what took them so long? The Switch, regardless of Switch 2 delay rumors, is most definitely in its twilight years. Yet, this emulator (and another infamous one) have been around almost since the Switch was running around in diapers. By the time this move through courts, I’d be shocked if the Switch successor isn’t on shelves. My guess is this is to deter future emulators but that will never happen. Emulation is here to stay, hell even the video game companies use emulation. Also, there’s a good chance that emerging AI technologies makes it almost too easy to produce. They may kill Yuzu but they aren’t winning this war anytime soon.
