I casted the "it would be nice" vote but I'm glad it isn't default. I remember one of my first plane rides I was worried that maybe the NSO games wouldn't work without Internet and when I learned they are all on my system I was so grateful. So not sure I'd like to "check" all the time, probably rather that I can un download games I don't care to have for the storage.
Also Doshin the Giant needs to be added, I need to know what Alex is raving about.
@Exerion76 I know those aren't hot takes but yo that list would be sick to see ported over.
I think I'd rather just have a sequel to Kid Icarus, but Sakuri has said he's not much for sequels.
I do have a soft spot for "console exclusives" with these puppies trapped on old hardware but the historian in me would be grateful if it were more easily available for future generations kinda like how steam works.
@Member_the_game glad you get to try them out now.
A note about GC on Wii. There's a GVG video stating that the best way to play GC is actual on Wii. I haven't tested it myself, but it always struck me as odd.
@Moistnado that would be really cool. It can definitely handle it!
I feel like that puts them in a tough place that if they do release it as a switch 1 title it would sell tons but if they make it a switch 2 exclusive it would help push more units.
It would definitely push me to adopt since I usually wait for a Zelda game to adopt the next console.
My wife got my virtual boy wario land for Father's Day, and it's not breaking any crazy new ground in 2025 but I love it. Super cool.
A few months into this year I got to sweet a deal on a broken virtual boy, repaired it for free, with just stuff around the house, and have enjoyed it alot.
I got really excited to pick it back up again after all the hub bub with the switch two version and spent about half an hour in the depths before I decided that I wasn't actually that interested in seeing it all again.
Still it a great game, just think I'm ready for something new.
In all seriousness my wife got my treasure trove on 3DS years ago, and I felt like it was a gag gift cause she knows I like shovel knight so much and it's probably my favorite way to play. Not a lot of stereoscopic 3D 2D pixel art games, other than the Nintendo and Sega ones.
Back on topic I'll be grateful for a switch 1 port.
@FlyingDunsparce well technically in wind waker GC they took account for that and didn't make it a requirement to have the tingle tuner to 100% the trophy collection, even though (spoiler free here) there is additional stuff with it.
In WWHD since there is no tingle tuner you can get the previously mentioned locked trophy without the tingle tuner and it even mentions in the description of said trophy that it was offended before not being required for completion.
So I have been playing MM3D lately and it has slow down quite a bit. And I've played Echoes and Links Awakening also, clocked like 100 in there and other than the swamp in LA, never had anything so noticable as MM3D has been. Just a dip here and there.
I don't think we should settle for poor performance but to me it just feels like maybe we are just more aware?
Also funny that they are both Grezzo. And to give it its best shot I've been playing on a "new" 3DS
@WhiteTrashGuy I would, that's what I did with my OLED. Can't even tell it's there. Especially since their protector isn't like "replaceable" since it's a manufacturers protector.
All else fails, go check out Jerry Rig Everything's video when it comes out, or even check out his OLED review right now. He puts the tech through it's paces.
Super lame for those affected but I agree with the assessment already shared, I didn't think anyone was asking for a remake. The original was already a looker, as was impossible lair, adding new lighting and textures is cool, but not as cool as a new game.
I love the idea of other M but man I couldn't get through it. The pacing was so slow and the story was just killing me haha. I probably made it like 2 or 3 hours in before calling it quites. Still on my shelf but it was a difficult one.
@DarthXenos my only concern using it outside of GC and smash Bros is that the button layout is different, so sometimes it's super weird. Like playing SNES with a GC controller is a nightmare.
Per some suggestions on the site I've picked up Chrono trigger again after about a month off. I'm a little confused from the time away but I'm sure it'll come back to me.
I also had a coworker recommend I go back to Echoes of wisdom since I didn't like it. Just beat another dungeon with the Gorons. I forgot how hand holdy it is but I did learn I can use the water block to drown anything, so that's a fun strat.
@N00BiSH I've never had a controller that uses them but I could see me using it for run in BOTW or TOTK, since you lose camera control unless you claw grip.
I remember going onto the my Nintendo store and it lets you kid of do that, but it just puts together a kart of all the full joy con sets you'd need. So instead of it costing $350 it's like $500.
Neat to see them do it, just wish it was more widely available.
I have a full family for NSO membership and I think we all pay for it just for the classic games. I can maybe see one or two of them wanting to do something like this, but I do not see myself using it.
Growing up I remember calling my friends on the phone and playing smash Bros brawl with the laggy Wii wifi. Those were the days.
Got a confession, feels like this is the crowd to admit this. I'm a little over 4 hours in and just dropped it one day. Like the writing is charming and the combat seems pretty standard RPG stuff to me. How long before I'm like wrapped up in the story? I feel scared to spoil anything for anyone reading who might not have played it like me, but I've made it to the crossroads or whatever it's called, the place outside of time.
I'm playing it on DS since it's cheaper but like I said it's not slapping me up the head like Earthbound or other RPGs have done.
I'm excited to see the poll tomorrow where it'll be like: did you get to preorder through Nintendo Yes No Somewhere else And yes will be a ghost town. I'm honestly starting to wonder if they glitched or forgot to invite.
I got my physical copy of sea of stars still sitting wrapped. That and the Ori games, looking sad next to each other. Ive tried starting other RPGs and Metroidvanias when I'm not in the mood and then I stop a few hours in and never return. Don't want that to happen with these, since they are so highly praised.
@1UP_MARIO i thought that would be the case when I upgraded, and it's not the case at all. It works perfectly. I only have an OLED now and still use my labor VR.

Re: 'Nintendo Music' Adds Another Legendary Zelda Soundtrack, Here's Every Song Included
@OctolingKing13 Earthbound soundtrack is GOATed. I listen to it while I work, it feels like the whole thing was performed by the runaway 5.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom And Breath Of The Wild Updates Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@HugoGED that would be bomb, it was the lamest thing when I got BOTW day one on WiiUand I looked down and didn't have a map on the game pad.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom And Breath Of The Wild Updates Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Sambuc I only own BOTW on WiiU so I don't have any data to compare to the switch version. Why do you prefer Wiiu?
Something that I always admire about late life console games is seeing the console working at full power. What about you?

Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Games & Accessories For June & July 2025
The FOMO is there for me, wanting to have the new system but Im just not excited enough about any of the software that's been announced.
A new Zelda has usually been what gets me to upgrade to the new system, so I guess when they announce one of those I'll upgrade.
