Re: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom And Link's Awakening Are Improved On Switch 2, But It's Not Perfect

So I have been playing MM3D lately and it has slow down quite a bit. And I've played Echoes and Links Awakening also, clocked like 100 in there and other than the swamp in LA, never had anything so noticable as MM3D has been. Just a dip here and there.

I don't think we should settle for poor performance but to me it just feels like maybe we are just more aware?

Also funny that they are both Grezzo. And to give it its best shot I've been playing on a "new" 3DS

Per some suggestions on the site I've picked up Chrono trigger again after about a month off. I'm a little confused from the time away but I'm sure it'll come back to me.

I also had a coworker recommend I go back to Echoes of wisdom since I didn't like it. Just beat another dungeon with the Gorons. I forgot how hand holdy it is but I did learn I can use the water block to drown anything, so that's a fun strat.

I have a full family for NSO membership and I think we all pay for it just for the classic games. I can maybe see one or two of them wanting to do something like this, but I do not see myself using it.

Growing up I remember calling my friends on the phone and playing smash Bros brawl with the laggy Wii wifi. Those were the days.

Got a confession, feels like this is the crowd to admit this. I'm a little over 4 hours in and just dropped it one day. Like the writing is charming and the combat seems pretty standard RPG stuff to me. How long before I'm like wrapped up in the story? I feel scared to spoil anything for anyone reading who might not have played it like me, but I've made it to the crossroads or whatever it's called, the place outside of time.

I'm playing it on DS since it's cheaper but like I said it's not slapping me up the head like Earthbound or other RPGs have done.

@Axecon man something that I liked about the GC version was it felt like I was given all of my items and told "Now go use them on your quest!"

I get the same vibe on WiiU but it feels like it's over really fast. I am replaying the HD version right now so we'll see how I feel. If I get a switch 2 I'll have to compare notes against the original.
