I am much more likely to pick up this port than any modern entree, so I imagine it will happen. I still have my leaf green copy so I'd probably just get myself green again.

@TKundNobody ah man that would have been cool a sea blue edition for the anniversary that has all the exclusives from each game.

I do like the Japanese box but if I saw it as a kid I would not recognize from the art alone that it was a Zelda game.

@Nep-Nep-Freak I think it's also fair to say the first part games were real bangers too. I'll spare you the list but I mean all of the wiiu ports prove it.

Switch is better in a lot of ways but sometimes it feels like the wiiu walked so the switch could sprint.

One game i will name is breath of the wild because it is a wiiu game. I only own the game on wiiu myself.

I love my Virtual Boy. I only have 4 games for it, so I'm glad I'll have this way to test out if there's any others that are worth my money. I do want Mario Clash but this will help me make the decision.

So glad there's finally some official preservation, as well as a way to play 2 unreleased games. I think it's a treat.

Always gives me hope seeing these random switch 2 editions that they'll show some love for Metroid Dread and give it the 4K upgrade.

@Zeldinion looks to be paid, on Nintendo today, they showed it having that gift card looking upgrade you can get at Walmart for digital games as an option.

@Vyacheslav333 man I was thinking that the other day too! Like just make some USB disk drive thing that's compatible with GameCube-wiiU, and some pin connector ones for nes -n64.

No strong feelings this generation but I do like the games.

Umbreon is mine. I love Gen 2 but man it kicks my bum in Nuzlockes. Too many Rocket grunts with Hondooms who know pursuit. I do the no potion battle rules and I don't think it's worth it haha.

@KayFiOS oh gotcha sorry I'm still rocking my oled but agreed no way the switch 2 would fit in the labo.

@KayFiOS why? I know it looks cooler than the labo vr one but did something happen to your cardboard or something? I still have mine and am planning on just using that.

@Nintoz ya in with you, this doesn't mean it won't work. Just wouldn't make sense for them to advertise that it does work when they are trying to sell these new accessories.

Pretty sure it was on this site. There was another article that said that the vr stuff they are selling will be compatible with the vr modes in Odessy and Captain Toad. So it makes no sense why the old VR won't work now.

I'll be patient try out the VR on Labo and if doesn't work I'll order the new one and be patient for it to show up.

Being cheap often means being patient.

I'm gonna try it out on my OLED with the Labo headset. If it works fine I probably won't be picking up the accessory. I think being able to hold it up to your face might be nicer.

One of my favorite (and silly) ways to play my virtual boy is laying down with the headset just kind of sitting on my head so I think the labo or cardboard one would be more comfy than the replica. Even though the replica is pretty cool.

@FrenchVaniIIuxe I own a virtual boy and I can't say for NSO but as for the real deal, legends are true. Like 10 mins of gameplay at first.

But! I noticed the more I played it the better my headaches got. So then it would take like 20 mins then half an hour. By that point I'm never really available to play that long anyways so the headaches became a non problem.

@Phelaidar same would love to see this game in 4K, but probably will just stick to the original.

It looks like the physical release won't be until May 29th in case anyone was curious. A bit of a bummer to wait longer but I'll survive.

It also is another $10 USD over digital. But again I think it's worth it, making it $30.

Also worth noting is it's doing that thing tons of games do where it's 10% off digitally of you preorder.

May the next direct give us an even better program. Possibly with making physical games cheaper like the old selects program.

I had my suspicion that the toycon labo vr would work and then popping off the lense in the video pretty much confirmed it for me, so I'll skip out on buying the accessory for now.

I do have a VB which I love so it'll be nice to play some games I'll never afford, like 3D tetris or Nestors Funky Bowling.

I do own Jack Bros Japanese which is oodles cheaper and actually has the English ROM built in you just have to do a button sequence on start up which was neat.

Not sure if it confirmed it for anyone else but when they took the red lenses off of the virtual boy accessory it sure looked exactly the same as the toycon. Pretty sure we'll be able to get away with just using that if you don't want to buy the cardboard one.

As sad as a delay is I feel like I have so much to keep me busy. It's not like this is 1990 and I have 3 games on my NES and I just can't wait for the next console to launch. I have possibly a hundred games or more, and can keep myself occupied, possibly forever.

I do feel bad for the dev teams, I think the demoralizing feelings are real. Poor chaps, no fun delivering less than ideal news.

I mean I don't know how common the is to stop a launch bundle only 6 months in but that did happen.

Been worried about that since day 1 totally the reason I bought mine second hand when I did, didn't want a ps5 situation on my hands.

We are currently wrapping up another play through of Dread and I never thought I'd see the day that I'd start seeing it's age. I hope they do a lil 4K upgrade for that game too.

Dude I LOVED Lego growing up, totally obsessed. Would have loved this as a kid.

I recently was gifted the LEGO gameboy for Christmas, and had a good time, like how it looks, first lego set in over a decade at least and I don't know man, I think I out grew it.

@Metazoxan I appreciate the conversation, I did play DKB. I had a friend lend me the virtual game card for a few weeks and did enjoy it, but was able to get through it in the trial period. I did play the demo for Kirby Air Riders and other than being able to kick other people off their machines I felt like it was just an HD polish of the original, which don't get me wrong I loved, but don't feel like I need to buy the new one because of that.

I also have Prime 4 and it's just been pretty disappointing so far as far as hand holding and the like. It looks fantastic but hasn't been as fun as the Prime Remaster.

Having the GameCube games has been a plus though, which I do forget wouldn't be available to me on the original Switch, so it does have that going for it

The only game store I frequent is Game Smash, a local retro store. They actually got me into retro games over 15 years ago! But they have plenty of switch games too.

Last time I went to GameStop was for the late night launch for Tears of the Kingdom. I honestly look back on it with a lot of fondness, but I agree with what others have also said, it's hardly a game store anymore. Sad but true.
