@Axelay71 i feel like I'd only want to pick this up on OG hardware. I went looking and didn't see anything about a Genesis Mega drive release. Have you heard something?
Surprised by the amount of "unsupport" here in the comment section.
I've been watching this for a while, was stoked when they hit the switch stretch goal, saw the new direct and am looking forward to trying it out. I'm just gonna wait til the full release.
Sounds like a pretty obscure rumor but I think it would be good to have competition. With Nintendo pretty much having a monopoly on the idea right now, I think it would be helpful for pricing and innovation if they had competition.
Guilty, today I picked it up again for the first time in 5 years. My previous save had 15 hours in it and I just felt like it was never going to end. But silk song looks good so I wanted to try again.
@Rainz man I'll need to try it again too I suppose. I played 10 hours of it like 5 years ago and just put it down. It felt like it was never gonna end.
I like me some shorty games, especially since adulthood sucks away all your time.
But all the silksong hype has got me wanting to try again.
I've said here and there but Mania is my most played switch game. I play it every few weeks, with over 165 hours in it.
I love knowing this exists because it means they are still willing to work with Sega.
Superstars never did it for me. I tried a few okay throughs and it was always just super boring and unpolished. Like there's a level where Sonic gets shot out of a pipe at the begging, for the level transition and dude just sticks the landing.
Even in this concept art the enemies here have more life than super stars by giving them a glare. The lifeless eyes are lazy and dumb in superstars.
@ImpromptuR agreed that this is a young person thing but everytime I hear that I think of the story my mom told me about the first time she met my dad. She walked into his apartment and he had his TV on, his radio going and he was reading a newspaper. And she thought it was the weirdest thing.
That was back in the late 80s. Maybe it's just evolved.
Always wanted to try it. Still cheaper to buy a physical copy than buy a switch 2 and NSO sub for me. One day when I invest I will happily check this one out. I've heard nothing but good things.
Man am I missing something? I remember these games being, just the worst. It seems like there's an audience. Is it like because it's so bad? Or just childhood memories?
As a father my sons already have a few Mario and Zelda toys. They have a banana peel plush, a Korok their Aunt made, a knitted Link doll that someone else made.
If I have an issue with this line it's that Mario isn't like cute. It's a little creepy to me when I think bout too much haha. I love the character and love the games, pretty sure our boys will be getting those blocks from me or family, but anything plushy just seems weird.
I forget about Mina and then someone mentions it and I get hyped again. I hope we hear something and that it comes to the OG Switch since I don't see me investing in a switch 2 anytime soon.
@neil9000 i feel that especially in today's age but something of to think about was Wind Waker was like 10 years old, and so was twilight princess. Probably most underwhelming is that it's hardly been a console generation and the graphical boost isn't anywhere near as mind bending as it was in the past.
I did play the first two chapters of Deltarune and found the gameplay and what I understood of the story well written but they did say they are going to assume you know what's going on, which I didn't haha.
I don't see me playing undertale anytime soon but it is inspiring knowing all Toby did and apparently the code is terrible making my indie developer heart feel hopeful I can release something someday.
I have Warioland, Jack Bros, Mario Tennis and Red Alarm. All are very solid titles. Super fun system. I've had to build up the eye strain muscle or something to not get a major headache after like 10~15 mins.
I casted the "it would be nice" vote but I'm glad it isn't default. I remember one of my first plane rides I was worried that maybe the NSO games wouldn't work without Internet and when I learned they are all on my system I was so grateful. So not sure I'd like to "check" all the time, probably rather that I can un download games I don't care to have for the storage.
Also Doshin the Giant needs to be added, I need to know what Alex is raving about.
@Exerion76 I know those aren't hot takes but yo that list would be sick to see ported over.
I think I'd rather just have a sequel to Kid Icarus, but Sakuri has said he's not much for sequels.
I do have a soft spot for "console exclusives" with these puppies trapped on old hardware but the historian in me would be grateful if it were more easily available for future generations kinda like how steam works.
@Member_the_game glad you get to try them out now.
A note about GC on Wii. There's a GVG video stating that the best way to play GC is actual on Wii. I haven't tested it myself, but it always struck me as odd.
@Moistnado that would be really cool. It can definitely handle it!
I feel like that puts them in a tough place that if they do release it as a switch 1 title it would sell tons but if they make it a switch 2 exclusive it would help push more units.
It would definitely push me to adopt since I usually wait for a Zelda game to adopt the next console.
My wife got my virtual boy wario land for Father's Day, and it's not breaking any crazy new ground in 2025 but I love it. Super cool.
A few months into this year I got to sweet a deal on a broken virtual boy, repaired it for free, with just stuff around the house, and have enjoyed it alot.
I got really excited to pick it back up again after all the hub bub with the switch two version and spent about half an hour in the depths before I decided that I wasn't actually that interested in seeing it all again.
Still it a great game, just think I'm ready for something new.
In all seriousness my wife got my treasure trove on 3DS years ago, and I felt like it was a gag gift cause she knows I like shovel knight so much and it's probably my favorite way to play. Not a lot of stereoscopic 3D 2D pixel art games, other than the Nintendo and Sega ones.
Back on topic I'll be grateful for a switch 1 port.
@FlyingDunsparce well technically in wind waker GC they took account for that and didn't make it a requirement to have the tingle tuner to 100% the trophy collection, even though (spoiler free here) there is additional stuff with it.
In WWHD since there is no tingle tuner you can get the previously mentioned locked trophy without the tingle tuner and it even mentions in the description of said trophy that it was offended before not being required for completion.

Well I am stoked. I have a VB with a 4 game library right now. I'm excited to see how it compares.
Re: Shinobi: Art Of Vengeance Is Getting A Resolution Update On Switch
I only tried the demo handheld and it ran great. Sounds like it was an issue elsewhere. Nice to see em hop right to it!

Re: Review: SHINOBI: Art Of Vengeance (Switch) - A Beautifully Crafted Return For Joe Musashi
K I asked this over on time extension, and just want to check here, anyone that have it see any setting for turning off the blood?
Just got lil kids and try to not pick up things I wouldn't want them seeing. I know it's cartoonie, but just a preference we have.

Re: Abxylute's $1,700 Handheld PC Resurrects 3DS's Glasses-Free 3D, But Using Mario To Promote It Might Not Be The Best Idea
As one of the 10 people who plays 3DS with 3D full blast always and owns a virtual boy, I am the target demographic.
Homies just made this unrealistically expensive. It doesn't even make toast.

Re: Yooka-Replaylee Is Now "Content Complete"

Not really anything especially since the chasm is forming between switch and switch 2 games.
Re: DSiWare Game 'Handy Hockey' Makes A Return On Switch 2
I loved this game back in the day. Sadly no switch 2 yet.
Re: PSA: You Can Now Remap Super NES Controls With Nintendo Switch Online

Re: Nintendo's Summer Deals Discounts Multiple Physical Switch Titles, Save Up To $20 (US)
Homies need to bring back selects. When I would see that red banner or even the yellow players choice, I was yoinking those quick!
It was cheaper and I knew it was a good one since it sold a lot of copies.
Re: 'Nintendo Music' Adds Another Legendary Zelda Soundtrack, Here's Every Song Included

@HugoGED that would be bomb, it was the lamest thing when I got BOTW day one on WiiUand I looked down and didn't have a map on the game pad.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom And Breath Of The Wild Updates Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Sambuc I only own BOTW on WiiU so I don't have any data to compare to the switch version. Why do you prefer Wiiu?
Something that I always admire about late life console games is seeing the console working at full power. What about you?
