Re: The Plucky Squire Lands New Update On Switch, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Thank you for letting us know about the update!

I've said this was my most anticipated game of the year but held off on getting it after the review. I normally don't think performance and stuff bothers me but It takes 2 on Switch to me was rather unplayable and I ended up just borrowing a friend's old PS4 to play it.

Plucky Squire I truly want to own. Hopefully it keeps getting better. Please let us know if it keeps getting patched up!

I think that the NSO+Expansion Pack family plan is a total value for me. We split it 8 ways so it's only $10 a year and it's pretty much a means of me trying out a lot of legendary games I've never touched, legally and pretty cost effective as well, to help me decide if I want to pick em up physically.

Without it I'd never have tried earthbound, the Donkey Kong Country games, gun star heroes, Beyond Oasis, Star Fox on SNES, Pilot Wings, Demons Crest, Shinobi, Contra, and thats all just in SNES and Genesis!

I also am not in love with N64 and already have the Zelda games on GameCube and 3DS so this is just a nice addition for me to try stuff out.

I hated NSO at first but once I got the family plan and reframed my mindset I've loved it, I wouldn't want to go back to buying the classics every console generation again.

Don't get me wrong if they'd offer it, I'm faithful to a fault and would totally buy Majora's Mask and Super Metroid and the like, and I would love more megamans and castvanias but with what we have I'm pretty pleased.

I'm excited for whatever they are planning to add, I'm not sure they are teasing anything crazy but I'm still looking forward to it.

@MirrorFate2 You aren't wrong, and I don't expect it but it is on my wish list. It's highly likely that if they did announce a new one it was also land on the more mediocre end of the spectrum. I try Superstars every once and a while to see if my opinion was wrong, but it just isn't anything great.

In the mean time I'm excited for Generations and the new Shadow stuff too.

@msvt I'd say so. I like 1,2, 3&K alot, especially 3 stand alone, but Mania just has so much to offer. Tons of zones, an insane soundtrack, 6 or 7 ways to play, depending how you count, and the encore mode with the DLC. Plus tons of unlockables encouraging completion. It's way good.

My best buddy tried it out and says he doesn't get it, so I know it's not for everyone, but what game is? Catch it on a sale, and try it out! Deku Deals says it pretty regularly drops to $8 so it's not too crazy an investment.

I think that there should just be a red phone in their office for when times are getting hard where they can call Sega and say they'll make another Sonic game.

I wouldn't want to be stuck doing the same thing my whole life either, but it's hard to deny the love and craftsmanship of Mania. I'd love if they did another, and help pay their staff!

Not saying Sega is made of money, but at least they'd be putting that money to good use.

Re: The Plucky Squire Physical Release Announced, Pre-Orders Now Live

Thanks for the update! Money already spent in my book. I've like never gotten a delux edition of a game but I might? Either way I'm picking up a physical copy. I'm grateful my backlog is big enough that I'll be quite content until February easily. Only thing is I am moving in December. Do we have any idea when you can't preorder anymore? I'd rather not put it off, I'm just not certain where I'll be next year.
