Re: How Well Do You Know The Koopalings?

8/8. I got lucky on the last one - I figured, he's the boss of SMB3 World 1, so he's probably the youngest.

Also, I didn't know the history on the names of these characters. Thanks, NL! (That would've made for a very devious quiz.)

Re: Nintendo Will Reportedly Release A $250 LEGO NES Console Next Month

Sounds like one of those things that you'll never actually see in stores because people will buy all of the stock and resell them on eBay for exorbitant prices. But, the set looks awesome. If money was no object, I'd definitely get one of these.

Watch for the article where someone has built a working Lego NES.

Re: Rumour: Is A Tomb Raider Collection Coming To Nintendo Switch?

mjharper

If this happens, and if it comes to Switch, and if it has at least one of the original PS Tomb Raiders in the collection, then I'm all over it. These were some of those PS games that I started, played for a while, wanted to play more but was more interested in Ocarina of Time, and never went back to.

Rumor seems kind of hokey though. The image reeks of "dude in his basement playing with Microsoft Paint," and Google Stadia? Really?

Re: Feature: Game Of The Decade Staff Picks - Xenoblade Chronicles

I remember waiting and hoping this game would come to Wii, and going to Gamespot on the day it finally released to get my copy. We were so starved for a quality RPG to hit the Wii that this seemed like a dream game. It was definitely worth the wait and the work it took to get it released on the system.

Re: Talking Point: Should Nintendo Create An Apple Arcade-Style Service For Smartphones?

mjharper

At first I thought I'd say maybe, but the more I think about it, my answer would be no. For one, I already subscribe to NSO, so I already have unlimited, mobile access to these games. Also, playing these games without a controller would not make them very fun to me. All of these were designed around having a control pad of some sort to play them. The reason Pokemon Go and Fire Emblem Heroes work on mobile is they were designed as touch-screen games from the ground up. So, I won't spend more money to play games I already have on a format they weren't meant to be on when they were created.
