I loved the original, and I'd been waiting for an update on this. Looking good so far.

Excellent news! I've been a fan of these games since the NES original (yes, even Blaster Master Overdrive is still present on the Wii U). Looking forward to completing the trilogy.

I love that resolution and frame rate aren't mentioned in the review and no one calls @scully1888 out for it. There is still hope in this world. I had a good laugh at this review. Thank you.

As long as this doesn't negatively affect the quality of the game when it is finally released for Switch, I don't really care. I'm happy for the Mediatonic guys - nice big payday for them.

Still working my way through this one - up to everyone's final chapters. Too many games keep coming along and bumping it down. I will finish it one day, though. One day OT, one day.

I guess I'm okay with its removal, although I prefer the change in SFV. The painting in SFII just looks empty now.

I thought this was a cool reveal, but it also reminded me that I need to play through Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

After waiting for as long as we have, I'm just happy that a new Direct is happening. I'll be watching like a giddy little kid during the broadcast. That said, anything Zelda-related would make me happy.

Unpopular opinion time...

...but you have to play every level with every character to fully complete the game. Another character on top of the 4 (+1) in the original game just feels like more work.

I'm a numbers guy, so mine's set to show the percentage. But that's still a neat trick for those who don't display the percentage constantly.

In the age where almost everyone has access to mobile phones and Facetime, do we really need voice chat in our games? Not trying to troll anyone who uses or likes the feature, just seriously asking the question. It's starting to feel like a relic of a bygone era.

I played this game for a long time, until I realized that I was only autoplaying the levels and was only focused on the hero collecting and team building. I did enjoy the crossovers in this game (Mega Man, Fire Emblem, etc.), and building a strong team was not difficult even if you're F2P like I was, but the game itself lost its appeal for me.

Splatoon, Super Mario 64, and Super Metroid.

I loved the GameBoy Advance SP from the time it was announced, simply for the backlight and the clamshell design. But from the time the Gamecube was announced, I really wanted the Panasonic Q. It looked fancy, and it could play DVDs as well as Gamecube games (so it was comparable to your best friend's PS2, and looked way sexier).

I got Super Mario 3D All-Stars last weekend for my birthday, so I've started my first journey through Super Mario 64 since 1997. I also continued my first attempt at completing Super Metroid, and I think I've finally discovered where I need to go to continue my exploration.

Never played any of these games, but I'd love to have the Turtles games and the Simpsons. And a Mortal Kombat collection similar to the SF collection we got. I played MK/MKII/MK3/MK3U/MK4 to death.

Wow, April 23 is going to be a big release day. By my count, there's about 37 games coming out that day according to this.

It's strange that the original tweet mentions Raji being one of the games discounted, but it's not in the list of games that are actually on sale right now. I guess the sale on Raji ended before the others?

Lots of Final Fantasy VI vibes with the new character and world (Terra -> Reginn, science + magic, etc.), but I'm enjoying it so far.

On topic: the new Mortal Kombat movie might be interesting to me if I was still a teenager and had actually played a Mortal Kombat game since MK4 on the N64.

Off topic: the Mortal Kombat song from the first movie is now stuck in my head. Thanks, NL. That movie did have a killer soundtrack.

My son loves this series, so this will probably be on his birthday list next spring.

I went with the USA cover. It may be just me, but the other two could be slightly spoiler-y. I mean, having the entrance to Bowser's Castle come up out of the water was kind of a wow moment for me when I first played through the game, so having Bowser's castle on the cover might've slightly ruined that for me.

Finally got back into playing more of The Last Story last weekend. I'm enjoying it so far, but I've already had to google the first couple bosses because I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I'm still waiting for the moment when the battle system "clicks" for me.

I am still a proud 32G black Wii U owner, and I still play it from time to time when the family is playing on the Switch. I actually just finished Skyward Sword on the Wii U (I miss VC sometimes). Unfortunately it never took off the way the Wii did (or the way Switch has), but there are several great games on the system. I'm going to hang on to mine for a long time.

Hopefully I'll be able to have more time with The Last Story. I'd like to explore the town more and get more comfortable with the fighting system.

That's awesome! Would've been a blast to play. I'm guessing the overhead on this thing made it expensive to play - it probably wasn't ¥100 for one race, which is probably why it died off.

Finished off Skyward Sword (all the hearts, cubes, crystals, etc.), and getting back on Octopath Traveler. And if the Switch is occupied, I'm going to start on The Last Story.

I think this is the first time I've read something he said that was in any way negative regarding the Switch. I usually take whatever he says as an interesting perspective, and while he seems to be an intelligent person, I disagree with him here. The main mode for me is the TV, and I would say based on sales figures of Switch versus Switch Lite that the majority of Switch owners agree.

These are fun. I got 2 out of 3 in each video. The females in Arms, Palutena, Wario, and Daisy got me.

For me, it's between FAST RMX and I Am Setsuna, since those are the only two I have on the Switch (I count Shovel Knight as a Wii U game). Even though FAST RMX is a great game, it's really only an updated Wii U game, so I chose I Am Setsuna. It's a good game - not Breath of the Wild good, but good - and the type of game (JRPG) that the Wii U lacked a decent supply of, which made it even more desirable for me.

Still a part of my weekly workout schedule (days when I don't go for a run). I've really enjoyed it so far - I appreciate its focus on utilizing your entire body. Also, I loved being able to work out with it while recovering from my knee injury by turning on Knee Assist mode. Very fun game and excellent fitness tool.
