Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (27th December)

Seasons greetings to everyone! We've bought a few games for the Switch - sorry, we're holding out until 2026 for the Switch 2!

Anyways this weekend will be the Mario Galaxy double pack with the kids and Tales of Vesperia for me as I just finished Nier Automata. One thing I like about the 'transition' to the new console is that I get to try out the more obscure titles on the old console whilst I'm saving up for the new one which is what I have been doing for the past few months.

Secret of Mana was an unforgettable experience for me as a teenager. I spent months exploring every part of the world and I was fascinated by the ‘twists’ in the plot line.

I do remember the visuals and seeing them again on the SNES Mini some thirty years later I was blown away by how good they hold up.

In the end it was a great game and it’s interesting how a lot of modern day Action RPGs take their cue from Secret of Mana.

Good luck to the Fire Emblem fans out there.

I don’t know why, Three Houses never interested me and Engage, not sure about (although I played and enjoyed all the 3DS entries.) I’ll think about whether to dip into Engage, I have to see more online.

However, I am back to Bayonetta 3 this weekend. Still enjoying that game.
