@Incoherent1 @BenAV the first Bayonetta in my opinion has the better story but Bayonetta 2 is much more forgiving gameplay wise.
I've played both on the Switch. For me I cleared out my gaming schedule and each game took me around ten days to complete. I found they were the kind of games to main line as your reflexes improve as you go on.
I did find the first game harder to get into but because I cleared the way to play it, I was able to finish the game. Bayonetta 2, for me, was pure joy from start to finish.
I’ll split my time between two games this weekend. First Resident Evil 4. Love the game but the lack of gyro really annoys me and stops it from being a great play.
I’m also back on Breath of the Wild. Loving that game and I reckon I’m around halfway through.
@mazzel I’m tempted to order Xenoblade especially as they’re extra features. But I will hold off, partly as I haven’t played XC2 yet.
@RPGamer I’d love to replay Xenoblade. Maybe at the end of the Switch’s lifespan I might buy the game to experience it again. But for now I will resist!
@mazzel definitely the Wii and 3ds install base was huge. But the 3D version was only available on the “New” 3DS and the Wii version was really hard to get a hold of. So XC1 was not as well exposed as it should’ve been.
Trhis is one remake that I hope gets a lot of love. Xenoblade is such an ace game.
While I won’t double dip (sunk 200 hours into the 3D version) I’m so glad this is being released for the Switch.
This opens up XC1 to a much bigger audience. For me personally I can safely say that Xenoblade was one of my finest gaming experiences and this release means that a lot more other players can enjoy the game like I did.
@mcdreamer never got a Wii U, so I missed out on XCX (I’m pretty much a handheld only gamer due to work commitments).
However, having recently got a Switch (Lite), XC2 will be my game for the Autumn. I can’t wait for that and the Torna expansion pack is probably the first DLC that I will buy with the main game.
I would love to see the rest of the Xeno series remastered/released just to see the evolution of the series. One thing that is probably guaranteed either in this generation or the next - Xenoblade 3!
@mcdreamer I sunk over 200 hours into Xenoblade 3D - and I consider it one of the greatest gaming experiences ever.
As for me I am getting stuck into Breath of the Wild. I completed my first Divine Beast. I died a dozen times trying to beat that boss as I was so underprepared!
@PuppyToucher I’ve got a Switch lite so I only play handheld.
I’m also a newbie to assassins creed and rebel collection is my first game.
It takes a while to get used to the controls. It’s not intuitive like Mario odyssey but after a few hours you get the hang of it. It’s blood thirsty as hell and the pirate ship sections are great fun especially if you overpower your own ship when outfitting it during the game.
I got Pikuniku for me and cities skylines for my nephew because both were on sale.
Loved Pikuniku. For 4Zl (around €1) it was a blast!
I dipped into Cities Skylines. Good memories of playing Sim City 2000 but the game got bogged down by garbage collection problems and getting dead bodies to the cemetery. Weird.
This weekend I’ll be heading back to Okami HD after spending the week on Assassins Creed Black Flag I just love both of those games and alternate between the two.
I also picked up Piku Niku on sale - it cost me something like 80p. Bizarre little game but I love it!
I’ve downloaded the demo but haven’t had the chance to play it yet. Definitely looking out for this one. If the reviews are good I’ll pick it up for Christmas.
@1UP_MARIO agreed for true discounts go physical. I bought a fair few games in 2019 for cheap before I got my Switch.
Even though my Switch is now my main system, today I cracked open the 3ds and played a little Mario & Luigi Paper Jam Bros - the last game on my 3DS backlog.
@OuTee @Gamecuber
I was not in Poland during the Wii/DS era and I do believe that Nintendo could do a lot more. However, my wife did not know Nintendo when I met her. Now my kids point at the TV when there is a Nintendo ad so at least things are on the up. More importantly you can actually buy Nintendo in the shops - I could not do that pre-Switch!
@SmaggTheSmug I met my (Polish) wife ten years ago. When I first went to Poland back then, Nintendo was non-existent.
Now, Nintendo is aggressively marketing itself in Poland. TV ads, posters and yes, I bought my Switch in Poland.
Poland is currently Xbox country and that is going to take a lot to change. But I’ll give credit where it’s due, Nintendo has been aggressively pushing itself in Poland since the Switch launched.
I sunk 200 hours into this game on the 3DS. Xenoblade is a fantastic game and for those who’ve never experienced it before, get ready for one hell of a ride!
Witcher 3 is on my ‘to play list’ - I still cannot believe it is on a Nintendo system. It’s games like this that is fast making the Switch my possible all time favourite platform.
For me games can also have a sentimental value. So I loved Secret of Mana because I played it in my teens. Playing it now on the SNES Mini still holds me in thralls even though I can see it’s many faults in today’s gaming era.
Last generation, I have a soft spot for Fire Emblem Awakening as I was going through a lot of personal problems at the time of playing it and I felt my struggles mirrored what was going on in game.
So as a result I rarely get rid of old games, but if a new console has backwards compatibility then I do sell off the original console to free up shelf space.

As I made it to back Poland, it's very appropriate that I’m still engrossed in the Witcher 3.

Started Witcher 3 last weekend. Haven't stopped playing it. Fantastic game - and managed to pull me away from BOTW
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 16th)
The Witcher just dropped through my letterbox 😃

Re: Nintendo President Says More Switch Games Are Scheduled For Current Period
@FargusPelagius with coronovirus I don’t know when Bayonetta 3 is going to be released but if it’s October I’ll be stoked!
@Rodan2000 whenever Bayonetta 3 is released I reckon it’s going to be a cracker of a game because it’s probably the final instalment in the series.

@Pat84 I’ve just started Resident Evil 4 on the Switch. Good game but the lack of gyro annoys me.
I’m taking a break from BOTW (after two weeks straight) so I went back to Assassins Creed Black Flag. It’s addictive as hell.

Re: Fans And Analysts Ponder The Eternal Question: Can Nintendo Survive Without Shigeru Miyamoto?
@VoodooTrumpet - agreed. Disney is a behemoth and it is clear Nintendo has already un passed the reins of their franchises to a newer generation.
Nintendo is ultimately a company. When it boils down to it, cash is king and it will do what is necessary to survive and thrive.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 18th)
Breath of the Wild. Just started it this week. I’m a bit late to the Zelda party but I’m having one hell of a time!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 11th)
Last weekend I finished Okami HD which was fantastic. This weekend I am going to knuckle down on the story of Assassins Creed Black Flag.
I’ve got caught up in all the side quests for that game, which are addictive!

I can highly recommend Assassin’s Creed the Rebel Collwction.
I’ve just now stayed up two hours after work playing Black Flag.

Okami HD. I’m on the final land and I reckon i can complete the game in the next few days. An absolutely great purchase this really is a classic game.
Also dipping into Pikuniku which I bought last week. Hilarious game.
Re: Video: This Incredible Fan-Made Trailer Reimagines Zelda As A Paper Mario Game
Great trailer. And I would buy this day one if Nintendo really developed this.

Assassins Creed Black Flag from the Rebel Collection. I’m absolutely hooked on this game and is a break from the equally addictive Okami HD.
Will also dip into Mario Odyssey as I’m on the final world and would like to beat it this weekend.

@IceClimbers I started Black Flag this week and I am loving the game. It’s my first Assassin’s Creed game but I am hooked!
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Appears On The European Switch eShop
@Silly_G try getting into Xenoblade. I sunk in a lot of time into the 3DS version but it was time well spent. The story is amazing.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 7th)
Over the past three weekends I’ve completed three games. Luigi’s Mansion 3, Ni No Kuni and Bayonetta 2.
So this weekend it’s a ‘new’ game - Okami HD. I picked this up in the sale a few weeks ago and I’m loving every minute of this gorgeous game.

Bayonetta 2. Just started it and I’m having a blast. I finished Bayonetta 1 at the beginning of the year, so the story is still fresh for me.
Here’s hoping for Bayonetta 3 news in the ‘upcoming’ Nintendo Direct. 😉

I finished Luigi’s Mansion 3 last weekend so this weekend I want to finish Ni No Kuni. I’m on the final stretch so I think that’s doable.
Also getting into Mario Odyssey. I only got a Switch in December so I am in catch up mode. Loving that game too.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 8th)
Ni no Kuni as my main game as all week I’ve been blasting through Luigi’s Mansion 3.
Also I picked up Goetia on the e-shop last week when it was for sale so I will also start that.
Re: Get Discounts On Fire Emblem, Captain Toad And More With My Nintendo Rewards (Europe)
@Late Ever Oasis is a great game but see if the cartridge is available on clearance.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 1st)
A weekend of completion for me. On the Switch I should finish Blossom Tale. Over on my 3DS I am on the final boss of Hey Pikmin.
Once I finish both games, I will get back into Ni No Kuni on Switch which I got back into this week
Re: Nintendo's Digital Sales Have Increased Almost 50 Percent Year-On-Year

Re: Comparing The Witcher Games To The Books Is Like Comparing "Spaghetti Carbonara With A Bicycle", Says Creator
Being married to a Polish girl I can safely say that Sapkowski’s bluntness is a national trait 😏
Conversely if you see Sapkowski on the Netflix interviews he seems a bit more diplomatic than he comes across in this interview.
We do have to remember that he is not a native English speaker so a lot may be lost when he tries to communicate in English.
I’ve read the books - courtesy of my wife - and that actually has me excited for Witcher 3 (which I’ll buy at the end of the year).
Re: Guide: Best Cheap Nintendo Switch Games - Switch eShop Deals (Europe)
@dugan for the price - around a tenner - I think it’s worthwhile.
I’ve played Okamiden and despite the DS visuals I really enjoyed it so I’m really looking forward to Okami.
