Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 18th)

I’ve been steadily playing Ni No Kuni since I got my Switch last month. I’m on the part of the game where everything really gets into gear - I love the story.

My 3DS will also be getting some love. I picked up Hey Pikmin last year and every week I’ve been doing a level or two. It’s not a classic but it has steadily grown on me and I’ve had a lot of fun with it.

@shonenjump86 I’ve completed LM1 & LM2 and currently playing through LM3.

For me, LM2 was definitely a lot harder than LM3. But it was really inventive and it looks gorgeous in 3D.

There are some valid criticisms of LM2 but, if you have the time I think it’s worth getting into. And the humour is really well done in LM2, something few people mention when talking about it.

Picked up Okami HD on sale so I can get to finally play that classic. Loved Okamiden on the DS so I’ll be glad to sink my teeth into this one.

Would’ve loved to buy RE4 but I’m too broke after Christmas. I’ll wait for Capcom’s next sale before picking that one up.

@Bucket Played and completed DQ7. It is a bit of a grind and it does require a kind of ‘clear the decks’ approach in order to complete it.

I know it’s hard with all the great games available but if you dedicate yourself to DQ7 for a week or so, you’ll get really immersed in the game and will want to complete it. But it is a 100 hour game.

Re: Hardware Review: Nintendo Switch Lite - Half A Switch, But That's More Than Enough For Some

I am the exact target audience for the Lite. I’m exclusively a portable gamer and have not upgraded from the 3DS.

I travel a lot so I do not have time for a sit down session of gaming plus with two toddlers I need to hide my things in hard to reach places. A home console would just get wrecked by my family 😜

I will be getting accessories like the SD Card this month and the Lite next month. Cannot wait to finally play Breath of the Wild!

Re: Sorry Nintendo, But The 3DS Really Is Dead Now

I love playing my 3DS. Two systems and eight years of memories. In the age of mobile gaming, against the odds, this plucky little system kept Nintendo alive and allowed the company to grace us with the Switch.

But whilst I can see myself playing the 3DS for many moons to come, I am looking forward to ‘Switching’ this Autumn when the Lite is released.

Re: Nintendo Reiterates It Has "No Games To Announce" For 3DS, But Says It's Still An "Important" Device

Like I have said before, the price point of the 3ds makes it exceptional value. And there’s a ton of games retailing at low prices.

My last three games were Fire Emblem Warriors, Mario and Luigi Paper Jam and Hey Pikmin. All three titles - physical - come in at £12-14 in stores or online.

For £100 it is easy to pick up a 2ds (with a pack in game and free SD Card for e-shop) and two retail games - many are AAA titles like Zelda or Animal Crossing. A bargain and from Nintendo’s point of view a no-effort way to make cash.
