Skyward Sword. I am still loving this game. I have sunk over 25 hours into the game and while I can understand the frustrations, the improvements are making it an enjoyable experience for me.
@PALversusNTSC I know I could never have played Witcher on anything but a Switch.
With family, job and all of that, the only way to play Switcher was on the go. Tied to a big screen, while yes is a better - I would never have been able to complete it.
It was not for me (I’m only here for BOTW2 which I loved) but I appreciate the games shown especially Advance Wars and Metroid are going to stoke a lot of other gamers.
I think a B is a fair grade to give to Nintendo at E3. Recreating that first year magic (or 2019) is probably impossible but this is a solid line up.
@Donutsavant I’m nearing the end of my switch backlog. I am currently playing ‘This War of Mine’ which is the last game I have not reached the credit roll for.
Basically I am waiting for E3 to see what to spend my money on this year.
I will be starting Assassins Creed Rogue - I have a three day weekend and so I am going back to the Rebel Collection. I have a hankering for some good old fashioned blood and guts killing.
I might also pick up my 3DS this weekend and try to finish Mario and Luigi Paper Jam Bros - it depends if the wife has ‘tasks’ for me to do.
@realityxaidan I’ll be finishing Xenoblade Torna Country this weekend. I started playing it straight after finishing Xenoblade 2 at Easter and I have not put down my Switch over the past two weeks. I am hooked!
For the three games - XC1 (on 3Ds), XC2 and Torna - I have spent over 450 hours of playtime. I love the universe of Xenoblade and I really cannot wait to see what Monilith Soft will create next.
After finishing Xenoblade 2 last week, I went straight into Xenoblade 2 Torna Country.
I really love this game. To see the backstories of the characters from XC2 is really touching. I do not buy DLC as a general rule, but Monolith did an exceptional job with Torna.
I’m also playing Good Job. It was on sale last week, so made the splash. Good Job is good fun!
@GalacticBreakdown - I loved Ni No Kuni, and yes the price right now makes it crazy good in terms of value.
@Yakuboto maybe it’s just me but I really like how they linked the Xeno series together at the end of Xenoblade 2. Kind of thinking what they will do for Xenoblade 3.
@Rpg-lover I was a huge fan of XC1, the story instantly captivated me.
XC2 is a slow burn regarding the story but I am at a point where the threads have pulled together and I really am now hooked!
With Bravely Default, I played the first game on the 3DS. The battle mechanic was an interesting take on the normal turn based RPG style, but the story really annoyed me - too much padding to get the true ending.
I finished Age of Calamity in the week. Good game but now I have a busy weekend so I will only be dipping into Horace and maybe Mario 64 from 3D All Stars.
For the first time since Xmas I will stop playing Age of Calamity. I’m nearly finished with it but after this week’s direct I want to get back to Xenoblade 2.
I’ve got quite a bit of spare time this weekend. So once the valentine shenanigans are over I will be straight onto Age of Calamity. Forty hours in and I can feel the build up to the ending.
I’ve played Fire Emblem warriors previously and while I liked the game, there was no love.
Age of Calamity is different. I have not yet completed the game (so I do not know the story) but I just love this game as it enriches my experience in the BOTW universe.
For me, Age if Calamity is a great exercise in building the hype for BOTW2!
Hyrule Warriors and Horace are my mainstays, being my purchases over Xmas.
However as I have a bit more free time I’m going to immerse myself in a bit of Golf Story. I think I’m nearing the end and it’s been a great and very funny game.
I’ve bought a couple of duffs on the eshop that I have made slow progress in, but I have played everything. Maybe not 100% but I will always get to the end credits.
It also helps that I buy physical as opposed to digital.
‘Life’ and a ‘wife’ managed to put the brakes on any impulse buys!

Re: Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - Prince’s Edition Is Out Now On Switch, Here's The Launch Trailer
I’ll definitely be picking this one up, probably in the new year. For now I want to finish a couple of games I have left hanging over.
I really enjoyed the first game so I will eventually buy this.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 11th)
On world 2 of Paper Mario. Not the best game but I am enjoying it.
I love the presentation. The music is spot-on in this game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 4th)
I just finished Xenoblade Future Connected. Wow, I am hyped for a potential XC3.
Now playing Paper Mario Origami King. Another game I got fairly cheap. I just started so let’s see.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Week? (August 28th)
I got Xenoblade Definitive Edition last week for cheap. I played XC1 two years ago on the 3DS and do not want to revisit it yet.
But, I am loving Future Connected. I believe the hype, there is a XC3 coming soon so I want to get up to speed on the extra bits to the main games.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 21st)
Just finished Skyward Sword HD. As a Zelda fanboy I enjoyed the game. Not the best in the series but loved the story and the music was divine!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 14th)
Forty hours into Skyward Sword HD. A good game, still enjoying myself but I can begin to feel the fatigue of the game.
I will complete it however.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 7th)
Still enjoying Skyward Sword!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 31st)
Skyward Sword. I am still loving this game. I have sunk over 25 hours into the game and while I can understand the frustrations, the improvements are making it an enjoyable experience for me.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 24th)
Skyward Sword. I can see the faults of the game but at the same time, I am enjoying it massively.
It is still a Zelda game, and that always means entertainment!
I also bought Origami King (second hand) so I might take a glance at that too.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 17th)
I got Skyward Sword delivered yesterday and I have already started it. It’s nice to get back to a Zelda game and I never played this on Wii.
And after seeing the E3 trailer for BOTW2, I reckon SS is connected with that game. Nintendo loves to troll us.
Re: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Is Getting Free DLC Inspired By The Netflix Show
@PALversusNTSC I know I could never have played Witcher on anything but a Switch.
With family, job and all of that, the only way to play Switcher was on the go. Tied to a big screen, while yes is a better - I would never have been able to complete it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 10th)
I’m waiting for Skyward Sword next week and so will dabble with Mario Galaxy on 3D All Stars as I don’t want to get too deep into anything else.
Re: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Is Getting Free DLC Inspired By The Netflix Show
@Chris77 if you have the chance, do play this game. My second most played game on my Switch after BOTW - and there is a good reason for it!
Re: Video: Days Ahead Of Release, Zelda: Skyward Sword Gets New 'A Hero Rises' Trailer
I have preordered it and cleared the backlog for Skyward Sword.
I dropped out of gaming in the noughties and pretty much missed the Wii era, so I am looking forward to this game when it releases.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 19th)
Breath of the Wild. I bought the expansion pack this weekend as it was on sale.
And yes, it feels great to return to Hyrule again!
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Delivered An Excellent E3 Direct For Fans Old And New

Re: Talking Point: E3 Leaks Are Inevitable, But Do You Actually Want To Know?
Leaks are part and parcel of modern gaming news. For me I look at it as a bit of fun, but I do not put much stock into them.
In a way, the leaks keep the big gaming companies relevant in this internet heavy news cycle. Do I think the big guns are not too bothered by them.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 12th)
I just completed Golf Story which was a little gem of a game.
Now I am playing through Galaxy from Mario 3D All Stars which is a great way to wait for the E3 reveals.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 29th)
Just finished Assassin’s Creed Rogue so I’ve started Neo Cab, which was on sale a couple of weeks back. Good little game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 22nd)
@SmartNickname Ever Oasis was such an underrated gem on the 3DS - I absolutely loved it.
More Assassin’s Creed Rogue from the Rebel Collection for me this weekend. I will hopefully complete that before Skyward Sword comes out.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 8th)
Continuing with Assassin’s Creed Rogue from the Rebel Collection. This game is a lot of fun, it’s exactly like Black Flag - which is no bad thing!
Re: Immortals Fenyx Rising's 1.3.1 Update Has Landed - Here Are The Full Patch Notes
This game is on my bucket list. Will probably buy it next year.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 1st)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 24th)
After a month hardcore gaming to complete Xenoblade 2 and Torna Country I’m taking a bit of a break from intensive games.
So I will be chilling out with ‘Good Job’ and ‘Golf Story’ for the weekend. Nothing too absorbing for me.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles Developer Monolith Soft Now Has 272 Employees
Please be Xenoblade 3, please be Xenoblade 3...
After finishing Xenoblade 2 and Torna Country in the last month I have a Xenoblade sized hole in my gaming life.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 16th)

@Yakuboto maybe it’s just me but I really like how they linked the Xeno series together at the end of Xenoblade 2. Kind of thinking what they will do for Xenoblade 3.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 3rd)
Just finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2 an hour ago. What an amazing game! And I loved how they tied it into the first story.
Now starting Torna Country. I still need that Xenoblade fix. Plus I am hooked to those characters. I want to learn more about them.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 27th)
@HollowSpectre I did the main game of Witcher 3 in the autumn - and really one of the best games I have ever played.
Now on Xenoblade 2 but I plan to crack with the DLC to Witcher this summer.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 27th)
@HollowSpectre I once thought that I finished Witcher 3...have you done the DLC as well?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 20th)
Therefore I am weary of trying Bravely Default 2.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 20th)
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - I’m 65 hours in and suddenly the story has ramped up. At the moment I am pretty much addicted to this game!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 13th)
Back to Xenoblade 2. The completionist in me is calling!
Re: Soapbox: It's Time To Normalise Giving Up On Games Early
My wife is like 🤨 every time I want to buy a new game - so while I don’t 100% my games, I always get to the credit roll.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 6th)
For me this weekend is a relaxing one so I will be heading back to Golf Story. Something nice and slow paced thank you.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 27th)
I finished Age of Calamity in the week. Good game but now I have a busy weekend so I will only be dipping into Horace and maybe Mario 64 from 3D All Stars.
Re: Poll: Bravely Default II Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
Played the first one on 3DS. It became a bit of a grind fest by the end - the story was so convoluted even by RPG standards.
I usually keep my games. One of the few I actually sold.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 20th)
For the first time since Xmas I will stop playing Age of Calamity. I’m nearly finished with it but after this week’s direct I want to get back to Xenoblade 2.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 6th)
Even though this is a busy weekend I will make some time for Age of Calamity. Fantastic game!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 30th)
Age of Calamity is the big game for the weekend.
However I’ve also charged up my 3DS. I want to finish Mario and Luigi Paper Jam Bros. Let’s see if I can pull myself away from Hyrule for it.
Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Is Officially The Best-Selling Musou Game Ever
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 23rd)
@RainbowTashie I’m also hooked on Age of Calamity. I agree I did not expect this much content from a warriors game.
Playing it makes me excited for BOTW2.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 16th)
While I’m out at work today it will be Golf Story.
But for tonight and Sunday I’m back to Hyrule Warriors. I’ve sunk way too many hours into that game so far!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 9th)
Hyrule Warriors and Horace are

Re: Best Of 2020: Horace Developers On Die Hard, Britishness, And Finding The Right Genre Label
I too picked up Horace in the recent eshop sale. I am having a blast with this game, really it is an absolute gem!
As an old man I love the references peppered throughout.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (Christmas Special)
Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity and I’m loving it!
(Mrs Claus was good to me this Christmas.)
