Already have Runner 2 and Gunman Clive, sigh. Oh well, at least there's Sportsball.

Sigh, won a match by 0.1% and was really impressed, but now I'll never know if it was really a tie.

Reminds of the time I taped two wiimotes together so I could play Tetris co-op by myself, lol.

$10 well spent.

So basically at the end of the hour when people gave up all hope of it working it finally worked for the few people that stuck around. That's still no real test that it will be functional on release day when people won't just stop trying to access the game after an hour. The only good that came out of it was I got to play Squid Jump for an hour, lol.

This was cool back in the day with Tetris, but Dr. Mario is a kind of weak Tetris wannabe that's just hard to get as hyped up about.

Only 8 locations is super weak, but I guess they wanted to narrow the field before the E3 event.

If they cared about giving everyone another opportunity to demo the game there would be two of these 12 hours apart. Apparently they really only care about testing the servers one last time. Whatever, I'm in!

Played the demo, and it's only like 5 minutes of basically just the tutorial and then one easy puzzle. I like that it's more complex than Pushmo, but I feel like I just want to buy the NES Expo because I hated the long buildup of easy puzzles in Pushmo and really only liked the NES stages, but then I hesitate to do so, because if I change my mind and want everything later it's still going to cost more in total.

At least it only costs 10% more in Canadian dollars than US like they actually paid attention that the CAD has gone up a little or realized we stopped buying the games when they were 25% more.

Now I'll be even more disappointed than usual if there's no new Punch-Out!! announced at E3.

Super lame considering people might have held on to their coins for these deals if they hadn't told us the program was ending and left us with the belief we should just unload all our coins, and of course now there's no way to earn any more coins to take advantage of these deals. People that redeemed for physical rewards 3 months ago only just got them about now, coincidentally when they drop the prices, and a lot of people are expressing disappointment with their quality as it is. Way to leave a bitter taste in our mouths, Nintendo.

I didn't have disconnects but lots of error codes trying to connect initially for each session or any time I changed my weapon. I'd like a few more chances to demo the game.

Please. Nintendo needs to accept that people actually cross borders in this day and age and that people should be able to take their systems from one country to another and be able to buy games for their system in another country. I had to wait 2 years to buy a Wii because I knew if I bought one when I lived in South Africa it would be useless when I got back to Canada.

Been going to the Streetpass Halifax meets for almost 4 years now. It's nowhere near as crazy as this sounds though, although we do get a lot of weird stares from people. If only we had free cake.

Would make me feel less bad about buying the VIP room if true for NA.

The game overview is still claiming this game is for 8 players and features wi-fi connection, lol.

Pointless without multiplayer. Why didn't they at least release this on the 3DS eShop instead, since the 3DS can actually do DS download play? Fail, fail, fail.

@Starwolf_UK Oh, I've been deleting so I won't lose my first streetpass tags and special miis, but it's so time consuming going back to find people to delete and having it bring you to the front of the plaza again after you delete each one. I actually don't take my 3DS out with me anymore for fear of tagging new people. Paying $5 feels like they're monopolizing on how cumbersome they've made their own plaza to manage, but it would be easier to pay the $5 than keep deleting, so I'd probably pay it if it solves the problem. I hope there are some other perks to VIP.

I voted for a Tetrimino fighter along with a new Tetris game for Wii U.

Maybe the VIP room prevents those people from ever getting deleted from your plaza? I know I've been wishing I could favourite miis so I don't have to worry about losing them. But I don't see why that should cost $5. That should be free if you buy the 2 games was what I was expecting the bundle to be.

They better drop the price of the Wii U this November, because no one's going to be asking their parents to get them a Wii U so they can play . . . nothing.

I've enjoyed not spending a dime on this game: half the fun of the game is gaming the system to not spend any money. I doubt more than a few percent of those 2.5 million people have paid anything for it.

Honestly, the red bases on these figurines look junky in comparison to the Smash series. Wasn't going to pay $14 for these, never mind $16.

It wouldn't be so bad if you could still buy the OG 3DS, but only having the choice between 2DS, 3DS XL, and new 3DS XL puts kids and small-handed adults in the ridiculous position of either suffering with an XL that is too big to play comfortably or missing out on a 3D system, and the 3D is the whole point of the 3DS.

They really shouldn't let Ubisoft make Tetris games if they want Tetris to be taken seriously.

I like that the demo is actually long enough to give you a good taste for the game. It is painful waiting for the aliens to move and not really seeing much of what they're doing sometimes, but it also kind of creates suspense like barely seeing the shark in Jaws.

@Starzsixty9 It says you must reach elite status by March 31st, and it will only be a downloadable game once again.

I doubt it's a problem with lack of stock: if it's true the XL is outselling the standard there should be a big enough supply of standard models for everyone. Feels more like tyranny of the majority in just deciding that since more people prefer the XL then that's the right choice for everyone.

Scalpers annoy me so much because they're parasites that do absolutely nothing of any value for society. I don't care how much I want something, I'm never going to pay someone to rob me of my money, as it will only give them incentive to do it again.

Really disappointed I can't get a regular-sized system in NA with the new features. The XL is too big for my hands and probably most women and children.

They never give NA a warning before they remove something. I don't know why, as they'd surely get lots of sales at the last minute. Maybe they'd rather make everyone paranoid that any given game might disappear at any given moment so people won't just wait around for games to go on sale.

So they're asking about as much as a Blu-ray costs for something you can't even view in DVD resolution? Plus, Disney Movie Club makes getting their movies much cheaper, so there's no way I'd pay that much for one of their movies anyway.

Went on the eShop and made a bunch of final purchases to get to 3001 points, so that's $30 I got from this promo, which isn't bad considering I don't buy retail games on the eShop ever.

I'll probably get Attack of the Friday Monsters.

Wait, so they cancelled all the pre-orders and then re-opened for new pre-orders? If they weren't getting enough stock, they should have just cancelled the latest orders they didn't have enough stock for. TRU has been the only place I've seen giving big discounts on the amiibo so maybe they now regret it and wanted to get rid of those discounted orders so they could make more money by charging more now?

Lol, I was going to buy this, but fortunately my copy of Tetris Ultimate showed up in the mail the day this came out, so now I won't have to.

Finally! Glad I waited. I noticed only 3 people had ever rated it on the Canadian eShop, so it can't have been selling very well.

They probably had to discontinue some ahead of the second wave hitting so retailers would have shelf space, so I'm not really surprised. More will probably be discontinued before the third wave hits.

Wearing those suits is supposed to be brutal — can't imagine doing it in sweltering LA heat with no ice pack, so yeah, I'd be suing too. You should always refuse to do work if you think it's unsafe though.
